Funniest thing is: Gokaiger has the power to come into future seasons, and also import their own power into other future rangers (Ex: Gokaiger vs Zyouhger, where they had to find the "animal treasure" that would unlock Zyouh Red's power up Whale Morpher!) (with the Gokaiger concept of STEALING other ranger's powers, they can also inherit other future ranger's powers, and use it for their own purposes, from Go-busters to Boonboomger!)

Gokaiger is the first Sentai series I watched years back & THAT ALONE put me into the rabbit hole of awesomeness! It will FOREVER be #1 for me because GODDAMN this show ATE!!! Marvelous is that DUDE!!!

Funny enough this was also my first ever tokusatsu I've watched and weirdly enough it might've been because of that Power Rangers season that shall not be named But yeah even being my first time watching something like this, I felt enthralled by the cast and journey, this felt like a great adventure and that's why I enjoyed it fully and it helped me get accustomed to what Sentai is and knowing it's history

@@tatsukinomiya yeah, I was younger and couldn't tell if it was good or not, but I did notice how dodgy it was and noticing Sentai suits I've never seen and never seen these in PR, so it made me actually research more into about Sentai thus leading me to learn about Gokaiger Thus starting me off into the world of tokusatsu and I hold this season near and dear And honestly hearing that more of the new Reiwa Sentai seasons being in top 10 in his list and how much fans I am around praise all the Reiwa seasons (sure in his list it's lower, but most people like Kiramager even if more lacking, tho it did sting me to see Toqger being low but it's understandable the theme isn't for everyone and I was like him once)

One awesome fact about Jetman is that it was created as a homage or a heartfelt love letter to Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, the anime series that heavily inspired the Super Sentai franchise.

5:14 The reason for dynaman's suits resembling baseball uniforms are because they were originally meant to be based on it and be a baseball themed sentai but the plan was later scrapped. At the end they didn't even try to modify the suit s instead keeping the same site despite the theme change

Yeah, I still like the suits despite the shift in theme, but it does make me wonder how it would've turned out if they kept with the baseball theme

Honestly, one of the biggest gripes I have about Goseiger is the _missed opportunity_ it presents us with. I mean, imagine having a Sentai team that’s fundamentally speaking, _incomplete_ because one of your would-be teammates _dies_ before getting to meet the rest of the team.

I genuinely love deka ranger. The intro is so long for some reason, lol. I love how funny but also a bit dark it is

Bruh Fiveman in the third worst spot???? Why does everyone hate this season so much? It's actually pretty solid and consistent in tone, and all of the rangers are interesting, which is more than can be said for other teams like Jetman and Ohranger. Also Liveman is criminally low

9:32 Ohranger over Carranger is CRAZY. King Ranger aside, this show’s story was inconsistent in tone due to irl attacks in Japan. However, had it not been for Carranger, Super Sentai could not have still been around. The merch money from Gekisou Sentai was amazingly higher than Ohranger

What’s with the pirate themes in shows that just makes them so LIKABLE. Like, One Piece makes it work and goddamn Gokaiger makes it work. Basically, don’t be hammy or pretend being someone you’re not, just do your thing.

I'm only an intermittent sentai watcher and it surprised me to see Zenkaiger so high on the list. That's the last series I watched because I struggled to get through it. I guess i just didn't 'get it.' But I want to check out King Oger now. My top 5 series are: Shinkenger, Kakuranger, Magiranger, Gokaiger, and Gekiranger.

I agree with some of the list though I haven't seen many of the sentai pre Gokaiger. But Ranking ToQger and Gobuster so low is criminal ☹. I know Ninninnger gets hate even though I really enjoyed the season but I have never heard anyone talk bad about ToQger, excluding those who didn't finish it.

Dynaman's suits look like baseball uniforms because they were literally gonna be baseball-themed originally, and it was gonna be called Yakyuu Sentai V-Leaguer, also apparently the yellow ranger was gonna be orange, but they changed it to have a scientific and pyrotechnic theme

No ninja teams in the top 10 is crazy work.

Although I don't agree with many of your opinions about some of the sentais or the position you put some of them in, I have to say: it's cool to see someone say their opinion about these series without fear of upsetting those who are watching. I've been a fan of tokusastu since I was little in the 80s and I your content (and sincerity) is on point. keep it up :)

Awesome lists! Just wanna ask where do you watch these? Gokaiger alone is the reason my spark for sentai came back. I was watching Power Rangers up until mid Season 3 and it wasn't showing much on our TV network. The only ones that were on re-run back then were Jetman and Bioman.

Number 3 was no surprise it would be this high on the list. For Japanese Sentai fans living in Japan at the time, this was their childhood and the season was dark and full of emotional drama especially with the White Kiba Ranger and his mother. It was gonna be hard for Power Rangers to adapt this season in America considering how dark it was and what they had to work around with the Mecha and Giant Monster fights not being used in every episodes and even with some internal issues at the time, they worked with what they could. Especially the giant dragon they decided to use a Lord Zed's ship. But certainly the Japanese footage that originated from Number 3's season, it was clearly the standout best that Saban could have hoped and they certainly ran with the Thunder Megazord for as long as they did.

In response to your take on Den-O being a better take on a train-themed toku than Toqger, I think Den-O has the better story but Toqger incorporates the train theme much better while also having a good story. Honestly what hooked me on Toqger is the relationship around Akira/ToQ 6Gou, but the series as a whole has this whimsical feeling that reminds me of roadtrips especially the ones I went to when I was a kid.

Dude. Say WHY these shows fall where they did. The only comments you gave we about visuals and theme songs. Is there not one sentence you could give about what makes each of their stories stronger or weaker?

If I recall correctly, Ohranger's tone shift was because of the sarin gas incident in Tokyo. After finding out that the terrorist operatives were from a spiritual/religious group, Ohranger having "spiritual powers" was frowned upon (because supposedly the terrorist operatives were 'manipulated/mind controlled') and the producers had to change the narrative.

Who else grew up watching jungle fury and rpm

My main problem with super sentai is that I don't know where I can watch them with subs (doesn't matter if I need a wooden peg and a hat or purchase necessary). Like, watching americanized Power Rangers is no problem at all for me, I know where to get it, but I always wanted to see the originals.

I've only watched Jetman so far, but I can't see any other season topping it as my favorite. But this video has given me a ton of suggestions on what to check out next, thinking I'll start Hurricaneger soon

Hurricaneger is great! The Gouraigers ( Dark red & Dark blue ) are awesome and Nanami ( Hurricane blue ) is one of my fav blue rangers/ female rangers ever! Thanks for watching!

My favorite is Kiramager as I love the motif the mecha the character (who are surprisingly 3 dimensional) and the episodes are amazing

Lol that's how I watched it originally too. I nearly cried when it got scrubbed off for copyright.

Now while some do view Go-Onger as not among the best seasons of sentai, i view it as one of the most underrated seasons out there. Personally i do like its casts and also its theme which is based on the Digimon buddy system where their Engine are actual rational characters. Plus i would also wonder why Go-Onger would receive an anniversary special years after its run and being the key factor for Gokaiger's ultimate zord.

How the hell can you find the Timeranger theme to be weird? It’s one of the best themes in the franchise, SAME WITH LUPAT!!! The twin themes playing at the same time in an elegant dance like duel is SOOOO FUCKING GOOD!!! Also, I feel like you should have mentioned that as Akibaranger continues, it also starts to poke fun at the entire Okatu subculture as well xD

I’m sure it’s already been mentioned, but I don’t know if you realize that you left all shinkenger

I almost got mad when you said GoGo V was forgettable, but it's all good. I saw the entire series for the first time last year, and it was my first sentai series. Having overindulged in Ultraman, it felt like breath of fresh air. I want to conclude by saying the experience was great, but i am having trouble remembering any of the other episodes aside from the Salamandes arc and finale, with the ones when pierre used baby Lord Drop to attack the team, and when the brothers, and dad were turned into kids being episodes i can easily remember. Regardless, greak ranking video, and I didnt hesitate to subscribe

Lol I love the villains but no female rangers is kind of a bummer IMO

Maybe Bioman deserved a little more: great fight choreography, that cool flaming sword, and Red1 EXPLODING a Mechaclone head with a punch scene at 8:16 speak for itself. They even clean the robot at the end credits! Also, the grunts were kind of scary without the masks (they remind me of the Barlo Soldiers from Ohranger).

I always about thinking about Lupinranger vs Patranger, Kirameiger, or Boonboomger. We will wait no matter how long it takes and I'm sure some fans might feel the same way.

Yeah I see a lot of hate for Donbros but I like it alot because of the humor and how unique it is

I hope we get a new PR series adaptation with a new cast after Cosmic Fury in the future.

I have a weird thing that I discovered when watching these as a child. I will only watch the series if the suit looks “handsome” So Gaoranger, Gekiranger, Dekaranger, Kyuranger, Kyoryuger…. Where the suit look more refined and polished. Handsome 🫠

Changeman being Right in the middle makes me happy. But There's no way ZENKAIGER is better than Changeman...

my top 2 are lupin vs pato (#2) and shinkenger, #1.

All i'm sayin is, Goseiger was a good season, it's just so unfortunate that it was sandwiched between the two greatest sentai teams of all time, that being Gokaiger and Shinkenger

I watched almost every season already and was surprised I found myself agreeing with most of this list! Especially happy with how high Megaranger is, even though there are newer series that outrank them for me now it still holds a special place in my heart.

Gaoranger and Zyuohger being back-to-back hurts my soul since Wild Force is one of my favorite PR series, wild correlation, while Zyuohger is one of the series I will not absolutely touch because of their uniforms. I wish there was a buffer between them since they're both animal themed.

I don't get why Liveman get so much hate. It's literally one of the most mature seasons of all, with a very interesting storyline. It deserves so much more credit.

I couldn't have been easy ranking these, but the nondescript descriptions you gave the shows didn't make this video all too engaging. ""It's generic" Generic how? Explain what makes a sentai season generic? WHat tmakes a series juvenile? What do you dislike/like about a suits? I like/dislike this character, again you rarely go into a concrete reason. With enetries like Toqger I wondered why you even put it so high up if yoou had nothing nice to say? Not a big fan of your choice of BG music, couldn't find anything more fitting with sentai? The droningrhythm felt like you were going to discuss true crime. The top entries have definitely shown your enthusiasm more and definitely make the video more interesting t watch, but that is a ways in. Several editing jokes like the Dai dai dai dai dai dai dai dai did make me chuckle. There is room for improvement so I encourage improvement and experimentation. Then again,, I am just a watcher, not a content creator myself :D

I'm someone that enjoys constructive criticism, as anyone that feels like they have no room for improvement is sure to stagnate. In saying that "it's generic", I'm really saying that there's not a ton that makes it stand out and in a series with so many shows it kinda gets lost to the annals of history ( at least in my mind ). When I said "juvenile" I meant that it skews younger than say, something like Timeranger or even Gokaiger ( In regards to the humor and tone ). As far as the music, I just really like trap beats lol. Thanks for watching and for the constructive criticism!

Gokaiger is my shit. Too this damn day I am pissed they didn't do a proper adaptation of that series for Power Rangers. Pirate Power Rangers is such a dope idea. And I agree Gokai Yellow is bae.

Zyuranger being in the middle makes sense. the urban legend aound the inception of Power Rangers has been for a long time that Zyuranger was a meandering mess with potential. That said I was surprised not to see it lower on your list.

Cringe list. If you want to ranked super sentai series,You should watched all of these series. The way you don't completely watched and ranked these series is very messy way. Series like Toqger and liveman are on low rank and kyuranger higher than these series are very disgusting. Also how zenkaiger higher than king-ohger and donbros??

Whoa, seeing Liveman that far down, even below Goggle V threw me for a loop. Interesting list but I would've loved an additional 1-2 minutes per show to give more of a thesis on why each show is ranked the way they are. After all, people do love 3 hour long videos on this platform lol. Good stuff otherwise!

Thanks for commenting! in retrospect I'm not sure why I ranked it lower than Goggle V lol - especially considering how slick their suits are! I think in a year or so I'll probably make an updated video based off of mostly what the community thinks and make it really in-depth!

Lmao I'm far from offended - You made me legit laugh out loud! The real reason is that I look at my analytics and 94% of my viewers are males so yknow

I have 5 note worthy seasons. First is Shinkenger as that was when I became aware of Sentai. Second is Majiranger as it was the first Sentai season I ever watched. Third and fourth are kyroyuger and ToQger as those were the first seasons I saw while they were airing. Last and my personal favorite is Kirameiger because its theme of "shining in your own way" meant a lot to me when I was close to giving up on life.

It was only when we reached GoOngers did I realise that power rangers used super snetai suits as well
