I really wonder why tim sweeney thought we needed more modes than battle royale, he gave up seasonal events and pretty much everything else for 3 failed modes

​@@motafu1Epic Games had a vote on which is a better idea, the live events or the 3 modes. Majority of Epic Games voted on the 3 modes, so, here we are. This is also the reason why Donald Mustard left.

@@bigwayne4607 the numbers for rocket racing is less than a lot of creative maps it's mindblowing ...people weren't even drawn to it with the Metallica event. Lego is still holding its own kinda so is festival but rocket racing Nah they need to let that thing go

There were very few things to come out of the modes: Lego: It's an alright gamemode, and is cool to see skins in lego versions Festival: The jam tracks, leading to us being able to listen to the songs as lobby music, plus kind of in battle royale. It also had Eminem to advertise it. Racing: Personalized cars in battle royale That's about it though

And somebody still believes, that collabs don't do harm to the game...

They put all their eggs in pirates of carriberian.

Yeah, I feel like Pirates of the Caribbean will be the Big Focus of July instead of a Summer Event ⛱️

To not ignore 2022 one gave us "vibrant vibin'" emote easily one of the best free emotes we got

Just no words atp... I played back in CH1 and quit right when S9 started so didn't experience 14 Days Of Summer then came back to the game in OG season almost 5 years later and this " summer event " is officially my first one, can't believe you guys used to get an emote + music pack every year.. but yea with how things are going watch Fortnitemares also not have an emote this year aswell

This year's summer event, if you can call it an event, is so bad that I was even discouraged from playing Fortnite, but there's a reason to hate this chapter 5, I miss the good times with Donald Mustard in the game.

I'm all for rewards but what about the fact that the island doesn't even look like a summer event is happening. Last year with the wilds there was one POI. Now this season absolutely nothing.

I'm going to be generous and count Metallica, Reload, the free summer quests, AND Pirates of the Carribean as the summer event(s). In which case, this is actually the best year ever. I can't deny that it's a stretch, though. I just think that this has generally been more eventful than usual, despite the summer cuts.

This is probably the worst summer event I ever experienced in and The shops are just getting worse ever since Donald mustard retired. I missed the old Fortnite.😢

Chapter 2 Season 7 had the best ones in my opinion

This year is very bad. We don't get much, and we also don't get the dance either. I don't know why this means why so much, and I also don't get a teaser scene for summer. Creativity😭😩💔Only the replay mode is the best.

Definitely a lot less cosmetics this year for the summer event that much is obvious, but I feel like they were focusing more on Metallica and Pirates of the Caribbean which is fine but I do feel like we definitely should’ve at least gotten the duck pickaxe.

This was honestly my first summer experience in fortnite since playing & let's just say i think the past free items look so much better 😢 plus its more then 3 item's

They should make them buyable in the shop if you missed it.

The rewards for summer escape are so cool. I was only in no sweat summer. It's just getting more worst each time. Especially how overpriced everything is for some pixels yet Im addicted!!! 😔😔

I just sat here thinking about how Fortnite nitemares was awful last year, then when Christmas came they removed the much loved Christmas cabin...Easter we didn't get the egg launcher in game and a Easter hunt. And now it's summer with no summer island ☠️ it's time for a break ....

Don't need another pickaxe, don't need another shop change, it's glad to be over here reading how epic games fortnite slowly is losing touch with their players.

Epic is being extremely effort-less these days. 3 boring items i'll never use? Neither an emote? What about shops? Where is OG J Balvin? Is he not in the shop just because his emote (In Da Party) isn't updated to LEGO? Seriously, just for an emote? Is this a joke Epic? I spent 23$ just waiting for J Balvin to return and he doesen't... I have all the other 2 skins but not his main one. At least I can claim Zappy Go-Lucky...

Don’t even get me started on last year’s winterfest. There was no cabin and I didn’t even get to claim my rewards because I didn’t know where the stupid rewards were! (Spoiler alert: they were in some stupid UI in our quest tab with no attention drawn to it and no work put into it either.)

This summer event feels not much exciting sadly theres only three rewards, this feels similar to the Christmas event

season 9 had the best summer event & rewards, it's crazy how each year the event and rewards got worse, this summer event all we get are 3 rewards, a lame back bling and a lame reskinned glider

The new summer is so dogshit. Just cause we're in a dessert doesn't mean we need a dry ass summer event. With no crew benefits either. Crew needs to be improved

Don't the Nana Bath back bling and the Pool Cubes Wrap Reload rewards count and maybe the other 2 Reload rewards count even though the contrail and Umbrella aren't Summer themed

this makes me WORRIED about winterfest. like, imagine if we don't get a music pack this year, let alone a cabin. I would probably quit for that whole season out of spite.

They progressively got worse as years went by…

My Collection: 14 Days of Summer (2019): Got every single item. Cosmic Summer (2021): Nothing, nada! No Sweat Summer (2022): Nothing, zero! Summer Escape (2023): Absolutely left dry. All Sweat Summer (Now): I'm not even going to attempt it. The reason I didn't get the other stuff is because I quit Fortnite after Ch: 2 S: 2.

Epic literally got regressed

It sucks the they brought in the other modes the mostly focus on them now which means events are gonna be dog

The fact they don't make pets or toys anymore sucks

Yeah this season's event really sucks in comparison lol. I didn't play during the previous events, but man I'm a little jealous of how much you got in some of these events. I would have loved a new lobby/jam track to go with festival and maybe new tires or a boost centered around the summer. Hell even some lego builds would have made it better. I like the glider we're getting, but it's just a reskin of another glider, and the other rewards are fine but nothing crazy. Regardless, 3 items only is insane when compared to other years, hell even the last winterfest had tons more, and most say it was the worst fortnite's had. Really hope this Pirate of the Caribbean collab comes in clutch, because this is incredibly disappointing.
