You can now add Quinnipiac vs. Minnesota after this year's championship thriller!
Gophers beating Maine in 02 was by far the best. Being the frozen four was at the xcel in st paul. The place went bonkers. I was watching the game at a bar next the area. West 7th street was a mad house

BU in 2009 takes the cake just because it completes the impossible comeback
Great to hear the voice of ESPN's late, great Tom Mees on a couple of these.
The video starts with a Michigan loss, concludes with a Michigan loss and has two Michigan wins in between. The last time Michigan played in the final but didn't go into sudden death was their win in 1964.
Gotta love the clear boards back at the old St. Paul Civic Center

I miss them so much , it was a staple of ncaa hockey and Minnesota high school hockey . Bring them back I say !!
Whys the quality from 2:00 so good? I'm baffled
loved the northern Michigan win remember watching that as a high school kid . very happy Michigan beat C.C. As they never should been there as UVM was screwed in the semi final in 96 against them . love college hockey as they say that’s why we play the game it’s left on the ice .

YES, well said. Just watched NMU beat BU awesome! They deserved that victory ✌️.
great video, need update to include QU overtime win from this year
great compilation
What's important to remember about the BU vs Miami game is how it got to OT in the first place, with BU scoring twice in the final minute of regulation. Also, the officiating in the Maine vs Minnesota game was horrific. Not only did Steve Piotrowski miss a blatant penalty by Minnesota's goalie earlier in OT but it was an absolutely awful call that lead to the power play where Minnesota eventually won. Minnesota had a great team and may have won anyway, but 21 years later and i'm no closer to forgiving Steve Piotrowski then I was when it happened.
Grant potulny ot goal dave ryan call 9:16
The Miami-Ohio player sacrificed his body to block the shot, only to have the puck change directions and still go into the net. That on top of blowing a 2-goal lead in the final minute of regulation. What a brutal way to lose a championship.

No but they're getting there. At the moment Kentucky has a hockey team (club at the moment) and they play their games at midnight. There is talk of trying to get it approved for an actual university team instead of just being a club sport.

Those goals didn't win the championship. Those goals won the SF to send their teams to the championship game.
