Daley, I am a Lord of the Rings fan. I'm glad you are rediscovering it. My recommendation, finish reading The Lord of the Rings. Also, Middle-Earth is way bigger than just The War of the Ring. If you want more Middle-Earth content, Tolkien wrote much more history about the First and Second Ages of the world. You'd be surprised at the depth of the Lord of the Rings story once you've read the Silmarillion once or twice. Be aware, the Silmarillion was written as a history book. There are only a couple of actual narratives throughout the book. It's a bit of a rough read the first time around, but it's worth it for sure.

They could make a couple different movies about the main characters in the Silmarillion despite how much shorter the book is compared to the LOTR and Hobbit books.

Thank you for showcasing some of my units! Some notes: Another advantage they have is due to the game's modding tools the SW units have the same AI as modern soldiers, so they can back up for quite a while from a melee unit in an open space. The Rebels would often use old or captured vehicles in their army, like the AT-TE and AT-AT. Also, character customization can help with the balancing issue. But it does make sense to an extent that lasers would do a big number on an army of fantasy melee units. Enjoyed this one, vary naice!

This was a fun battle. You could try it again but with the fantasy ranged units at the front instead of the melee units. It would be interesting to see if it makes a difference.

If they are Dwarves, they are WARHAMMER FANTASY characters, NOT Warhammer 40K, although the same company. The "Dwarves" haven't been part of WH40k since the "rouge trader" days, which was PRE WH40K being officially a product. (More of the "back lore used to start things off" than anything else. But they didn't officially become a part of the "end product" after version 2-3, I think.) Since then, they have been used EXCLUSIVELY in regards to the Warhammer Fantasy aspect, which is still going strong and they are deemed to be one of the "better" factions around. Not "perfect" by any means, as Warhammer (Fantasy and 40K) is pretty much built around the concept that anyone can kill anyone in combat.... depending on skill/luck. Also, I can promise you that PROPERLY modified WH40K Space/Chaos-Marines would completely demolish ANY Star Wars unit. Mostly because the Space/Chaos-Marines walk around with tank-thick armor, massive health increase, firing off BASIC pistols (Bolter Pistol) that pops off BEER CAN SIZED BULLETS. So, massive health, thick armor and HUGE firepower punch, would more or less walk over any Star Wars unit due to them being (more or less) basic human health, armor that isn't that great "overall" and firepower that can easily be mitigated depending on armor thickness or composite.

@@MikaeruDaiTenshi - At first, but "squats" haven't been around since Version 2-3 came out, maybe 4 at the latest. Which is kind of sad, because the "old time players" really wanted them back in the game. And if they HAVE been brought back, it would have had to be around version 7-8 when I stopped playing.

I appreciate your enthusiasm and I'm by no means an expert, but the weapons in star wars don't use normal projectiles so it's hard to equate the effectiveness of tradtional armour against essentially laser-ish/energy weapons.

@@justjosh11 - True, trying to equate both SW and 40k into "traditional" armor and weapons is difficult, if not nearly impossible. But considering that 40K has laser-cannons, plasma-cannons, melta-weapons (basically nuclear powered weapons), it is easy to see where the "toughness factor" leans more towards 40K.... specifically in regard to Space/Chaos Marines. The generic "foot soldier" (Imperial guard) is more or less just "average humans with gear". The Space/Chaos marine concept is pretty much 1 man with the health of an entire platoon, armor of a tank, and firepower of an A-10 warthog, as the "basic" grunt level Space/Chaos Marine, and even MORE health/armor/punch when you are in "Terminator Armor". Which is also why even Games Workshop has a DIFFICULT time actually making their own product "balanced" overall. I mean, according to the lore, a 100 unit of Space Marines have been known to turn the tide on a Global scale, which is insane. And the number 1 threat (The Tyranid invasion) has been weakened by the GW "love/bias" of Space Marines being "dominate in all fields". My point is, in a properly modded presentation. ONE Space/Chaos Marine would be equal to at minimum, 10 "grunts" of a SW mod... maybe closer to 15-20 depending on the "special weapons" involved with the SW forces. Which, ironically, is why even in the 40K universe, "send in the Space Marines" is often seen as more or less just sending a "handful" (50-100 TOPS) to make a difference, with anything over 100-200 at one time seen as "put an end to the war ASAP".

The dwarves have returned to 40k. Towards the end of 9th edition, GW released the Leagues of Voltann. Unfortunately, besides their codex and models, they really don't have any lore.

This has to be one of my more fav battles you've done. We truly didn't know where this was gonna go and felt like a tug of war! Awesome vids man! Keep up the good work!

I know that is not a fallen order or survivor video, but i want to share my opinion: Cal Kestis would never know what really happened to clones, and he would only see them as traitors

If you're getting into lord of the rings I would highly recommend the Silmarillion then some of the other books edited by his son Christopher. The easiest to read are probably Children of Hurin, The Fall of Gondolin, and Beren and Luthien. The Fall of Numenor was just released this past year as well and does a good job at tying the 1st and 3rd ages together

When I saw Spartans and Tripods in the Fantasy army I was sure the Fantasy army was going to win! I am quite surprised at how quickly those units went down!

I think in the end, it doesn't matter what troops are on the battlefield, but how their stats (and abilities? do they have abilities?) are programmed. Theoretically speaking, the SW-Universe probably wouldn't have stand a chance at the combined force of those Fantasy Universes. They easily won the fight against the LOTR Army, though for the wrong reasons (overpowered Rebel HP).

I don't know, seems Warhammer 40k is composed of pretty large armies itself! But the tripods definitely wouldn't stand a chance, especially if you included the Republic's war machines!

Halo fan here nice battle, Disappointed how weak the Spartans are tho, star wars is a little to OP in this mod.

I'd recommend Arachîr Galudirithon's videos its FULL of middle-earth lore hours of good listening to.

I hate to say it but what you said about the newest Disney shows aren't the best, I may be a diehard Star Wars fan, but aside from Obi-Wan Kenobi the recent shows (yes even the Mandalorian, dang I can't believe I said that man) and the reason Obi-Wan is so good, is because if you think about it, Vader/Anakin still was more Anakin then Vader and I love how the story was played out, and how it explains that in Episode IV Leia would know to ask Obi-Wan/Ben for help. Also Daley, the way I still stay intrigued with Star Wars is by playing SWGoH, which is hard to explain what it is if you don't know, but unfortunately your going to have to search it up, cos aside from the fact you have to grind for months/years I can't really explain it.

if this where to actually happen and not just in a simulator game the star wars army would absolutely be slaughtered in no time. plus the only way to kill the colossal titans is to destroy the nape of the neck so they're not going down easily. especially with all the other armies fighting the star wars army.

I mean, just judging by the numbers in combination with the combined forces of several fantasy universes, SW should lose. If balance correctly, SW will probably have no chance for several reasons. Now, what my biggest problem with that battle is. How is there a such a huge army of Toads?
