The PS2 wishes it had JRPGs as good as on the PS1 or SNES. The genre never recovered from going fully 3D in that generation.

All Mana Khemia games follow the same base for battle bgms. Other than that, some nice RPGs in these platforms.

So I thought of an idea for a video: Top 10 JRPGs from outside Japan. I know they'd be considered Western, C or KRPG, but in terms of mechanics. One I've been playing is Chained Echoes which is more like a GRPG since it was developed in Germany.

Question: is Final Fantasy 12 an action rpg or turn-based? Ni no kuni, the third best selling rpg on the PlayStation 3, is right up my alley. The combat-system is very good and the gameplay is never boring. Grind on, man!

could you please possibly do a version of this for every ps4 jrpg thats not on pc? i own a ps4 just for this and i find nobody has ever done this it would be very informitive and 1 of 1 at least in english and that suprises me.

I noticed you didn't actually use music from the original Hyperdimension Neptunia in the PS3 entry for it, but honestly that wasn't a bad call. The original games music was.... not very good lol

Valkyrie Profile (psp, better than ps1) and maybe Star Ocean The Second Story (not that many characters, but enought to have to do 2 playthoughs to have them all.

Bruh if we put the kemco rpgs in here this video would've gotten like an additional half hour 😅

I would've thought Parasite Eve is as you do have to wait for your next "turn" to make a command, which all take a "turn" to do (whether that's using items, PSI energy abilities or attacking with a weapon). Guess we all have different variations of the definition aha@@lucascaribe9935

Then this may not be the right channel for you brother. This is a channel based mostly on old and sometimes new j-rpgs that Erick and viewers feel an extreme passion for, older titles will be mentioned repeatedly because they're part of nostalgia and history.
