My theory is Jaghatai was recruited by the twisted path and now works with Cegorach. We know the laughing god was responsible for Fulgrim and The Khan switching places, and that Jaghatai was lured into the webway before he disappeared. Imagine the power of a Harlequin trained and armed primarch.

I wish there were more Harlequin novels. A friend ran a game of Black Crusade where we played as Eldar instead of Chaos and I played a Harlequin of the Masque of the Frozen Stars. Mostly because they're paint scheme largely doesn't involve the diamond motley. Still so much fun to play and have loved the Harlequins since. I know people are disgruntled that a novelisation had them butcher Custodes but if I genuinely had to think of a faction where its members should be able to go toe to toe with Custodes it would be the Harlequins.

Novels, models, lore, the harlequins are in dire need of more in general. It's hard though, as being a bit of an enigma is part of the whole appeal, but come on it's just depressing at this point.

So sick ! Do you know what did your friend use to create Eldar characters ? Was it in the Black Crusade rulebook or in some supplement ? I'm currently running two campaigns in Deathwatch and Rogue Trader and I really want to feature some Harlequins as well in future sessions :p

@@captain_torket3254 so it was the black crusade rulebook and he modified the character creation to be eldar specific. He also swapped out the chaos gods with the Eldar pantheon, as a Harlequin I started out aligned with Cegorach (the substitute for Slaneesh in BC).

As long as we’re on the subject of headgear, a helmet review would be rad. We got your tusky chaos terminators, pointy wings for the dark angels and night lords, and those wolf heads that space wolves use to convert power armor into the world’s most expensive fur suit

To be honest, of all the roles one could live in the 40k universe: the Harlequins seem the most appealing to me. Life in the webway also seems strangely cozy. Like when you are comfy and relatively secure indoors as a thunder(warp)storm rages outside. *_Honks for the honk god!_*

@@christmasham4312 it's part of a triology and if you can get it in an Audio book format, it's even more entertaining. The voices the characters have are joker esque and the scenic audio is amazing. The only down side to the stories is that they are short (Roughly 1-2 hours each) and in audio format all stories tend to cost the same, So you will be paying the same price for a 1 hr book vs a 6-12 hour book.

Love how MajorKill continues to put out interesting content all the time, one of my main sources of 40K lore.

So basically, the masque of the Silent Shroud are the mimes.

Its odd to me that harlequin's are one of my favorite factions in 40k. I just love their aesthetic even though I'm usually not a fan of elves of any sort but they're just so cool in terms of them sort of but not really being doomed and appearing to do seemingly random things before disappearing again sometimes helping sometimes not. Very interesting take on a "grey" faction who are not really an ally or an enemy to anyone with the exception of Slaanesh, who they play in a play which is intriguing all on its own
