This is EASILY the scariest game in the FNAF series. Not just because of the Nightmare Animatronics' monstrously terrifying appearances, the colosally dark atmosphere, or the fact that you're playing a helpless child, but mainly because of the Jumpscare animations. This time, instead of the Animatronics lunging and then roaring at you, they pick you up and proceed to EAT YOU ALIVE. And the mere fact that this is all happening in a solitary house emphasizes how helpless you, the player, actually are.

@@malcolmiiix Now, if that wasn't enough, FNAF 4 also tops even "Sister Location" and "Pizzeria Simulator" because, while those no doubt pull no punches with being absolutely terrifying as all hell, some things fumble the impact a bit, especially the jumpscares, since they fall under the same deal that made the first three games' jumpscares fall a bit flat: the fact that you still have means to at least know when any of the animatronics are coming for you, and the animations are still these killer robots lunging at you to roar in your face. FNAF 4, meanwhile, has you with only a measly flashlight, no cameras whatsoever, and no means to leave the room, making the moment of knowing when the Nightmare Animatronics are coming to eat the child come across as sheer dumb luck. And all in all, it's actually a much more disturbingly realistic scenario, since it represents the all-too-real scenario of child neglect and child abandonment that happens very often in real-life, and if given the interpretation, the Nightmare Animatronics could be very well be essentially child predators that operate at night, choosing random houses to do their disgustingly filthy business.

the fact that fnaf 4 is SOUND BASED is one of the many fear factors of this installment in particular. you need actual earbuds or headphones to literally listen to breathing, meaning you need your volume up, also meaning if a jumpscare occurs it's gonna scare the living daylights out of you. scott did phenomenally with this installment.

I know you're probably not "religious" or anything like that but when I was praying, God told me to tell you that He is coming soon. I'm warning you about this because on the day of judgement, even if you don't believe, you will be judged according if you followed Him, or heard the gospel but did not believe/follow. Going to Heaven isn't about doing good works. It's about following the one who saved you. How does Jesus get you to Heaven??? Well He died for our sins because He loves you so so so so much. He took the cross on which all of us should have took but God loves us so much that He sent His one and only son to die for us (John 3:16) So Jesus saved us so we can get to Heaven. All you have to do is follow Jesus. Following Jesus isn't easy because you will have Spiritual attacks buts the thing is to trust in God. I'm not saying any of this to scare you, but to save you. Hell isn't a party. Demons burn you in hell and etc. I love you and that is the reason I am telling you this. This is the question: What are you deciding to follow, the world or Jesus. And don't be scared of any of this. Don't think that your life is so wrong that Jesus doesn't love you, He does, he's just waiting for you to come to Him. Once you complete night 6 there's an "nightmare" option in the extras menu. There you play against him.

The actual NIGHTMARE is the creepious cus of how faded his parts are making him look like his parts are floating
