Arcane odyssey has a status effect system and u can’t rly spam ur moves. Tbh I like the combat. I’m glad it’s not like deepwoken where u block party dodge or in some games where u gotta stun the person the entire time. The fights in arcane odyssey are always big. That’s what’s best

Tip dint start on your game, start with commission and selling your assets. After selling your assets and doing commissions, try to work for other big games once you've built up enough money from doing this you can start a game. Commissions and selling assets is the way to go so you get bank then you can make a game, this is a couple years process tho.
