21:58 For the uninformed, SmellingSalt is a base 60 power (70 starting in Gen VI) Normal-type move introduced in Gen III that only Makuhita and Hariyama can learn (normally, of course). It deals double damage against paralyzed Pokemon, then cures them of paralysis. If that sounds familiar, that’s because the more common Wake-Up Slap, introduced in Gen IV, does the same thing with sleep instead.

@@agentblackbird9435 Signature move of Makuhita/Hariyama. Regularly deals damage, and if the target is paralyzed, deals double damage, but cures the target of paralysis. Essentially it's wake-up slap but for paralyze. It's STILL a signature move, meaning it's still rare to see it.

@@oldred890 Sure, but it specifically states when the Mon is cured because of an ability between turns (unlike how Smelling Salts just states generally "X was healed of paralysis"). The first reply was vague enough to imply paralysis could fade like sleep and confusion.

Finally caught a simpleflips stream. He spent 8 hours catching pocket monsters while his friends yelled and played the otamatone on the call. What a great group of entertainers they are.

I just realized, you can randomize move types can't you? Imagine a poison type sky uppercut, or a water type dragon rage that is absorbed by water absorb. that would be utter chaos and rng.

The crazy thing is randomizing all move stats, which sounds like fun until you get 80/80 Beat Up and have no option but to run it because it's literally stronger than Gen 3 Explosion with no counterplay

40:01 Someone’s fuckin’ car just broke down or something

This video inspired me to run a Randomizer. It's been pretty cursed. My starters were a choice of Steelix, Growlithe, and Lugia. I decided I would roll a D6 to decide my pick. With a roll of 1 or 3 for Steelix, 2 or 5 for Growlithe, and 4 or 6 for Lugia. I rolled a 4 and the show began. Somehow my Rival started with a Tropius, it knew Shadow Ball and I had Heat Wave (Ok, not to bad right). Then it began afterwards in a random encounter and I knew this run was gonna be an 'experience'. A wild Typhlosion with Intimidate. It somehow knows Shadow Ball as well. After picking up the parcel and getting my starting pokeballs i run over to the left exit of Viridian City to get my Starter Team. Of these catches 2 caught my attention. A Ekans that had the Shed Skin ability, Fire Blast, Reversal, Shadow Ball, and Mega Kick. The other was a Caterpie and since my evolutions could be anything what could have possibly gone wrong right. This caterpie once it hit level 7 evolved into a Fearow, then immediately wanted to learn Mimic. I think this run is cursed.
