Vince carters 360 windmill is the eighth wonder of the world. That thing is so beautiful. It makes me want to cry.

omieg89 yes the way his body twists and his legs kick like a ballerina in mid air. Art. He is the perfect dunker in my opinion. Excellent in every category. Not the highest leaper(like a Gerald green or James white or even lebron) but still one of the best, graceful like Jordan, power like Dominique, can leap off one or two feet, can palm a ball like Jordan and dr. J. And he can do an honest windmill meaning cupping the ball with full extension, none of this bent elbow crap you see so much.
Vince's 2000 reverse 360 + windmill dunk: best dunk ever.

It is though, when you see him take off he does do like a 180 already before jumping but he lands pretty much in the same direction he took off from so it was a full 360

ok but what about aaron gordon under BOTH legs over a mascot
Look at the air, look at the hang time, look at the flying motion. EPIC.
That man Vince carter changed the dunk contest forever he really reveloutionized it
Spud Webb would still be winning contests today with his dunks at 5'7".
Some reactions to the dunks are even better than the dunks themselves!
Dominique was dunking so hard, it's like he was saying to the rim, "Fuck yo couch, nigga!"
RIP Jerome Kersey. Often forgotten but I'll remember you.
You are the real mvp for putting this together. Thank you for your sacrifices lol
Best Dunk contest video on youtube.
Man dude j rich is underrated he's definitely one of the top 10 best dunkers in this competition
Thank you for posting this!
Damn it seems Dominique wanted to tear the rim off the backboard with how powerful his dunks were

Zacks deserved to win as each of his free throw dunks carried more difficulty than Aarons best his sitting dunk which was great. It simply takes more athleticism to dunk from the free throw line and Zack did it in a variety of different ways. Gordon didnt dunk from the free throw line because he simply CANT or he would have! More difficulty = more points as it should.

+Trent Gilbertson well the last dunk Aaron did was very difficult too. To put it behind your head, then drop it to your legs, then to take it all the way back up to dunk it, is pretty hard. Yet, the judges overall gave him a 47.

Great Job posting this Video👍🏼
Answering some of the common questions people ask. 1.) I didn't leave anyone out. Blake Griffin, Shawn Kemp, Brent Barry, Isaiah Rider, Kobe Bryant...etc. never got a perfect scored dunk. 2.) The NBA used fan voting for the final rounds of the contest from 2008-2013, there were no scores given out by judges, so those dunks are not included. 3.) It was hard finding some of the clips, so sorry for the low quality ones. This was the best I could find. 4.) All the dunks are from the NBA Dunk Contest, I didn't use anything from the earlier ABA Dunk Contests.

GREAT VID!!!
So glad to have seen those contests of the late 80s with spud and Dominique and mj
Nice to watch video memories of the old days
Vince Carter blew everybody's fucking mind. When this dude dunked, the whole fucking arena erupted. He is like the last dunker from a very solid era of basketball that had a lot of style and was a trend setter.
1:32. The dunk that made history

NO Zack deserved to win and its really not close! Each of Zacks free throw dunks carry more difficulty than any of Gordons dunks including his sitting dunk and Zacks last dunk 1 step in between the legs is ridiculous! Gordon didnt dunk from the free throw line because he CANT! Dunk difficulty earned Zack more points as it should have!
@r0p
8 жыл бұрын
Lol @ Trent. You sir, are an idiot. Offourse he can. Plus Zack always did the same dunk and always was a foot over the line. Always the same dunk, no creativity. He did one dunk the same as Gordon only Gordon did it better.
@AAONMS1
8 жыл бұрын
Your really not very smart if you think insulting me gives you a stronger case for your opinion. Your just simply wrong!! Creativity doesn't out weigh difficulty. Look at any Olympic contest that is judged difficulty of stunt always carries more weight to judges. Difficultly 1st then 2nd creativity. You may not like it, but its just the way it is
@Cbmarks191
8 жыл бұрын
+Trent Gilbertson he relied on the free throw line 2 times in a row and last year he relied on between the legs
I love 90's basketball
They should really change the way the judges score these things. Like a 10 is a great dunk, 9 is pretty good, and 8 is everything else. It leaves no room to actually differentiate between the scores. Like this years contest, every freaking dunk was a perfect score. And then when they did an even better dunk...its still a 50?
@rivermcbride9934
8 жыл бұрын
This year the reason every dunk was a fifty was because the were amazing dunks
The 2016 dunk contest would have to be the closest competition I have ever seen. Zach LaVine is fucking crazy.
I had never heard of Zach LeVine, but holy shit!! That kid can fly!!!
The 2nd dunk was a true 360. So many people nowadays are held turned by the time they take off. He pretty much got it all in the air.
it´s remarkable how it all changed once Carter and cia made their dunks with such athleticism...
I'm so lucky I guessed every score right!!

MJ and Wilkins in the 80s VC and J Rich in the 00s Zach and Aaron in the 10s
wow nice!.
'Nuff Said. Perfect.
the behind the back mid air was sweet thow!
Aaron Gordon and Zach Levine should've both won the 2016 slamdunk trophy. Both performances were amazing!
No one was better than Walter (Skip) O'Shaughnessy, 1924 Rochester Centrals. He was a 5'9" 265 pound red headed, boilermaker with a cleft pallet, and he did a double Mobius dunk from the top of the key, blindfolded, after doing 6 hits of laudanum and a fifth of Night Train.
This is the Evolution of the 50 in a dunk contest. There is simply no other way to put it. The 50 has gotten better over the years.
I can objectively say after watching this entire video that those Carter dunks were by far.... let me repeat.....BY FAR the greatest dunks of all time.
Wicked travels bro...
9:22 One of the greatest dunks ever made
J-rich and Mason is the most underrated dunk competition duo's ever. they are in the top 5 along with Vince and McGrady even though Vince stole the show and it was just recognize as a single man show. 2000 was the best dunk competition overall as a whole.
Why is Jason Richardson so underrated?

+Julius Lim Yes but you have to consider/take into account context. Who knows maybe we'll be saying the same thing about VC, J-Rich etc 10 years from now. Remember those dunks were in 84-88... how many years is that?
@jp3813
8 жыл бұрын
They laid the groundwork that today's players build upon. If they're still playing in their prime today, they'd be doing insane dunks especially since they're allowed more than one do-over. They weren't the type to settle for 45.

+jp3813 Yup imma do piece on Vince Carter soon to provide some persp
You could see through the years how it turns into me,me,me and no humility whatsoever.
I guess we can just forget about every dunk contest in the 90's.
Very entertaining and exciting. Just a few of my favorites up to 28:00 min of watching Jason Richardson Micheal Jordan Dominique Josh Smith Vince Carter Iguodala Zach Lavine Aaron Gordon
spub webb looked like some kids just got outta elementary school....
I will still love the dunk oc m.jordan
nice
Over the chair! "It;s incredible" ))
Zach and Aaron have super powers
COOL
At 7:22 jordan is funkhaaa
2002 J-Rich dunk was absolutely sickening.
Still most impressive in my opinion is Spud Webb, not because of his creativity but for his vertical, that small guy jumps like a rubberball :)
Spud webb damn! Nothing like when we were kids, watching this when it really happened! WE OLD SCHOOL ORIGINAL NO ONE DOES IT LIKE WE DID!
When you're trying to be based in 1986 - dunk over a small chair
jordan 87 free throw dunk still my favorite! of all time
gordon's over the mascot between the legs is missing if i'm not wrong. but great video! thanks :)

Yeah they cheated Aaron. That shit was over after the under the legs dunk. Fuck all that. That's inhuman. Only the air up there coulda competed with that after that dunk. And his ass woulda lost too. Gordon gonna be insane next year
Missing 12 years worth of dunk contests from 1988 to 2000... they may have changed the scoring, but I think there were some 50s in there. JR Rider and Kenny Walker both come to mind... off the top of my head. Maybe Shawn Kemp?
Awee look at the crowd reactions in 84 85. They we're so entertained. smh
@jp3813
8 жыл бұрын
That crowd had the privilege of watching the dunk contest evolve and enjoy it every step of the way even today.
I thought Jordan got a 49 on the free throw line dunk
Vince Carter's Reverse 360 got a 49 because Kenny Smith gave him a score of 9, while the other judges gave him 10.
lol @ reggie "look at the head!"

Moo WWs u disrespectful shit smh
The dunk contest has evolved, yet the All-Star Game itself has devolved into a shootaround. **smh**
Vince Carter, wow, he was way ahead of everyone. Jordan had Dominique on his heels, later on Lavine has Gordon on his heels. Vince Carter had NO competition. Tracy McGrady did better than anyone who came before him and it still was way behind Vince.
What's funny is the dunks that they did which were considered "hard" to do would be easy to do now
Zach lacing has been twice, he is basically still a rookie and has the most perfect scores
Vince carter 2000 is the best slam dunk performance ever
Jason Richardson is the most underrated dunker of all time!
