@@neoretrothemasksculptor6261 It's true! The commercials were produced in the United States by George Lucas's Industrial Light & Magic to air exclusively in Japan. (Although, later on the commercials also aired in other parts of Asia, as well as South America and the Middle East!)

I was also disappointed the game wasn't even released in the UK, love to see a HD Remake of the game, love Pepsiman's theme!
I love how the girls at the beach don't even acknowledg Pepsi until he gave them their drinks, but the boys at the ski hill immediately started cheering as soon as they saw him. Them's the real bros.

Oh that's awful.
Pepsi-man is terrifying. Imagine it’s a hot day and you’re sitting alone and you’re getting thirsty. Then, out of nowhere, you hear “🎵Pepsi-man🎵!!!” Then you see this absolute unit charging at you at full speed. He then opens his mouth and starts hissing at you forcing you to drink the Pepsi. In conclusion, Pepsi-man has been haunting my nightmares for the past 22 years

Pepsiman is the hero we didn't deserve, nor need. Yet, he is the coolest because he isn't a regular showoff superhero, he's just a cgi dude that summons Pepsi. God bless.
I'm honestly dumbfounded that we haven't seen Pepsiman make a comeback yet considering all the love and positive attention he keeps getting here on the Interwebs. We would all cheer in unison to see him on our televisions one more time. I mean, this video's over ten million views. The numbers do not lie. (I keep hoping against hope to see him in a Superbowl halftime show since they're sponsored by Pepsi.)

It was produced by ILM, the studio that worked on Star Wars. Some of the best CGI of the day! (And actually of all time in many ways, they worked on Davy Jones in Pirates of the Caribbean 2 which is still some amazing CGI)

Smooth models like this were the easiest to produce. Most programs allowed you to create a low poly model and artificially smooth it. The animation itself is really great as well which is just numbers and data and almost pure skill

I get the vibe of "Japan view on America around 90s" from this video in such a great amount. And it felt so good. Their version of America felt very quirky in a way that you can't hate them at all.

@@darkcodeninja After a couple of watches (not that particular one but the whole video) and also the documentary where they pointed out scrapped ideas (the desert one was meant to be darker) I realized (DUH!) that pepsiman was supposed to be a mirage projected on the cactus. I thought that pepsiman was there and purporsely popped out a cactus instead of a pepsi for the poor mexicano to drink. Idk maybe because he couldnt afford one
