The mushroom Islands need some serious love as well. There's so much potential there for fantasy and realistic additions both. 🍄

Australia is already so out of pocket that if Mojang was going to introduce kangaroos, I'd expect it to be part of a whole new biome or rather a pair of biomes. Outback being a red sand dessert with kangaroos, snakes, and occasional red sandstone outcroppings, and Bush being like jungle, but with crocks and eucalyptus trees.

Personally I’d say the savanna needs more updates than the desert. Despite the armadillos and wolf variants, the Savanna’s are still far too empty than deserts (that are supposed to be empty) But that’s just me I mean, we have hoglins & horses, how hard is sit to have a zebra and warthog ?

Also armadillos just drop their shells occasionally so you can can just put them on top of a 2x2 hopper with carpets on top surrounded by glass and you get infinite shells 😂

If there's a desert update, it would make sense for them to also add the extra fat desert tree type. In the game it would have to have a 3x3 trunk. In reality they are somewhat spongy on the inside to be able to contain a lot of water to survive the dry season.

I have an idea for the next update, the farming update - adds new crops - different colorations on cows - unicorns (very rare) -roosters are added -deer are added -moose are added - coyotes are added - ducks are added - sheep dogs are added - new domestication system/ Depending on what you domesticate an animal with it will be a different unique breed Example: taming a chicken with normal seeds = chicken taming with pumpkin seeds = turkey\ - goats are domesticatable - goats have 3 breeds - striders are domesticatable - striders have 3 breeds - ducks are domesticatable -ducks have 2 breeds -chickens have 5 breeds - cows have 2 breeds - sheep have 3 breeds - pigs have 4 breeds - hybrids happen when different breeds mate, they look like the base animal - more berries are added - many side additions for nature

The heat effect should make it to where you just can't sprint so that it wouldn't be too hard to get out of if you spawn there

For the weather, they should add desert dust storms. Storms that will give you a slight blindness, will blow blocks and items at you and out of your hand (which gives an incentive to take cover or find a village and gives them purpose), this storm will cover the areas in loose sand; sand layers. They should triple the size of the deserts and badlands, for dramatic effect. They should add a heat distortion to the horizon, for aesthetic effect. Include new music discs that plays music which is modeled after stereotypical desert-sounding music. New mobs, scorpions and a new desert spider variant. They should add in rogue-villager desert bandits that will attempt to rob you, lol that'd be mad funny.

A mirage which might or might not have a secret would be cool!

A note for weather that could be added in by Mojang fairly easy would be: Fog. Drop the clouds during the morning phase and make them more transparent. Wala! Fog.

What I want is vertical slabs of all existing blocks that can be made into slabs. In other words, I want to be able to build a wall with recesses in it, but have it full flat on the other side. I want to be able to place a vertical slab on top of a staircase block and hav it fit with the upper part of the stairs, like a normal slab can with the lower part of the stairs. And I want craftable terracotta blocks. I want to be able to put them in the stone cutter and crave them up.

I would love for the desert to be updated. My idea would be; Three types of scorpion black scorpion-basic damage. Found anywhere Brown scorpion-causes poison. Found an ancient homes Blue scorpion-pet friendly but also slightly harder to find. Found also in ancient homes Scorpions could drop stingers used in potions to make a poison Resistance potion. ( Mostly for people that fear mineshafts) And a small amount of meat Palm trees with coconuts make the planks more light banana yellow. Cactus grows fruit used to breed scorpions, and to eat. A low chance of a small sandstorm tornado that way thunderstorm is not impossible but rare. lightning turns sand into glass. Primitive sand house village, an ancient sand house stacked on top of sand house. where you can find clay pots, and other items add a aquarium or terrarium to put fish scorpion in. home of the brown scorpion. Possibly break a clay jar and a brown scorpion comes out. That would be fun. Kangaroo maybe... Snake maybe also for terrarium... An oasis seems kind of boring a place where you find trees and water... Trees and water are very much everywhere anyway.... meerkats I feel like it should be a savannah update along with zebra or warthog lion who knows. I don't know just food for thought.

I would love to see the dessert be updated but I would also love to see the cold biomes updated! I would love to have more cold blocks to build with like maybe chiseled ice bricks or something. What I’m getting at is I would love to have more ice themed blocks and snow themed blocks. There is so much they can do with new ice blocks because it’s ice you can carve whatever you want out of it irl. So maybe putting ice blocks into the stonecutter can get you some cool new ice blocks. And show can be packed into shapes so you can easily make new snow blocks with that logic. I’m probably being to hopeful but I would love to see the cold biomes updated with some more ice and show blocks

Ok, coconuts can NOT grow in deserts. I don't know where this stereotype came from but it's FAR too dry for coconuts...BUT...dates are amazing palm tree fruits that are grown and cultivated in the Sahara and Arabian deserts. So if you want palm trees for DESERTS...dates are perfect...NOT COCONUTS They could also have a feature where it gets cold at night and the player needs to find a different biome or be close to a fire source (torch, campfire, etc) because deserts irl get to freezing temperates overnight (I'm pretty sure)

They can put a mummy like mob for dessert temples by increasing the size of desert temple under the tnt trap. It can use warden summon mechanics and use charge mechanics to shoot air/sand

I would be happy with this. For some reason next to the end i want desert to be updated. Deserts are for some reason my fav biome because it has the most potential of all biomes since you can’t add much more to other biomes.

If they are going to add kangeroos they need to make the ai reflect their behaviours. So have it where the kangeroo goes into a pond and if you follow it into the pond it will attempt to drown you.

As an Australian, you said 'Taronga' very accurately. I would love an update that focuses on Australia. It would be really cool to have big Eucalyptus trees with Koalas in them.

The reason why i think next update is biome update is: 1)they mentioned moobloom in the reveal mob vote video saying not next but Maybe future. 2)they showcased desert and savana in so many clips starting from 2020 live(bundle reveal). 3)villager trade rebalance(u need explanation? ) 4)mob rebalance(started with bat remodel and ended with a new skeleton variant for existing biome:mangrove swamp)

Desserts are known for there harsh vastness, I think that deserts in minecraft should be much bigger than most biomes and have structures few and far between

I do hope they revamp the warm biomes, and with the armadillo in 1.20.5 and camel and 2 music tracks in 1.20, they have been slowly adding features to the desert, and that could mean that they have been planning a warm biome update for a long time, so hopefully we will get a 1.22 desert update. (also with all the fan hype about one, they know it would be well received.) Edit: Also husks dropping sand and quicksand to convert zombies into husk would be nice for farms.

I haven’t played Minecraft in years but I’ll watch Wattles from time to time. I’ve been watching Wattles for almost 10 years now. I remember when he was in what you would now call a SMP. Wattles should always be in the top 3 content creators of all time, when it comes to Minecraft. He is very dedicated and drops a video everyday. Wattles has my respect. He is on another level.

If they do add palm trees, specifically coconut trees, that would be amazing. Now the song "The coconut song" will surely be viral 😂 Or Baobab trees, those chunky-looking trees, they should add that tree in both desert and savannah biomes

If mojang does a desert update, I would expect an update on the temples to be more exiting. Maybe they could use the help of tango tek (I forgot his name I'm sorry) because long ago he made a video about a new desert temple and i think it deserves to be put in the game if such update occurs.

Need traders to sell ways to make armadillos, my world does not have their spawning bipme nearby so me trying to get 1 for my spider farm has been a challenge

If kangaroos are added, I think they should be in both the desert and the savanna - they live in both habitats IRL, and both of those biomes could use some more wildlife.

Interesting, imagine 1.22 being a Desert and End update. The update could bring the 3 hot biome vote features (Savannah, Desert, and Mesa biome vote features) + add on to that a little bit (quicksand, functions similar to powdered snow, it converts zombies into husks, husks drop sand now, all zombie dungeons in hot biomes are replaced by husk dungeons, and when a zombie spawns anywhere within a hot biome, even underground, it has a 7/10 chance to spawn as a husk). Past that, touch up the stronghold just a little bit, and then port the biome(s), some of the structures, and the enemies from Minecraft Dungeons into vanilla, but flesh it all out so there are features to interact with, things to do, items to get, upgrades to acquire, reasons to visit the new dungeon(s)/structure(s), ect. If they want to put a little extra into the presentation, they could increase the world height to the End and have islands spawn above/below other ones, which would add verticality to the dimension. They could also make elytras obtained in some way that is similar to the vault in the trial chambers like everyone wants. If they really want to get spicy, they could add a third element to the update: combat. They could have this finally be the update where the Fletching Table is added. Not only would it rhyme with the Nether dimension update giving use to Smithing Tables, now the End dimension update is giving use to Fletching Tables. It would also make sense, because you make tipped arrows with DRAGONS BREATH. Maybe the Fletching Table could simplify this process a little. They could also add in a polished up version of the combat snapshots from a while ago and finally release that. Call the update something like "The Dragon and Deserts Update" or "The Deserted End Update" or "The Deserts and Dungeons update" and boom, you have people arguing over if this or the Nether update is Minecrafts greatest update ever.

Would be cool to see the savanna get updated with more mobs such as Zebras, elephants, antelope, lions, tigers, leopards, etc.

I think they could combine a lot of the hopes and ideas into one themed update. Because outside of the desert getting an update with an oasis variant, the other things people want in terms of terrain update are that missing birch forest update and a new End update. You could call it the regrowth update or something. The desert having new growth coming to it with new plants and lush oases. The birch forest finding new growth with these new mushrooms and birch tree shape variants. And the End finding regrowth with new biomes that could include new wood types and other plants. But that could be too ambitious for one update to have that many biome changes. Then again, we got caves and cliffs, which changed the entire terrain generation of the overworld.

My thoughts of the biomes desperately needing "some love" are: #1. Desert; #2. Frozen Ocean; and #3. Plains. I'm keeping my ideas to just 3 biomes and these biomes need something new, whether a new mob or something. Desert is just boring sand. Frozen Ocean is frozen ice / snow. No special mobs. Plains looks like it has for many years.

Layered sand can be quick sand. Similar to powdered snow, but you suffocate instead of freeze

What you said about the desert having non existent rain, I think it would be cool if they added a feature like sandstorms

I hope we eventually get a mob update that adds more life into the game. As much as we love cow, pigs, sheep, horses etc it feels a bit empty when a biome has only a few animals spawning. they could give deserts and badlands stuff like meracats, vultures, antlions, hyenas and crocodiles. if it took their team 4 months to devolpe the armadillo id imagine they could knock out a bunch of mobs in a year if they allocate their staff well.

Honestly, as much as the desert would benefit from an update, I think the end needs some attention. No updates for years, I mean the nether got one, he overworld has gotten loads (not unexpected but can be mentioned) so I think the end deserves something. Maybe not the focus of an update bc we don’t want to ruin the feel of the end by adding too much but defo something to impact the end.

The talking points for years were dungeons, end, desert. We got better dungeons this update so i think end and desert are next. Updated dessert temples could also be cool.

A fitting name for these 3 biomes could be something like "High and Dry" or "In the Dust", or some other play on words

I love Minecraft still to this day, and I still play it. But my biggest problem is the devs. I’ve seen single person mods drop more and engaging content than the entire mojang team. They have no excuse for not making the updates as big as 1.22 and others before it. And they should not be counting out any mobs and telling us we are never getting the other mob votes ever. That’s insane!

Me still waiting for the swamp revamp update where there will be cemetery/catacombs/graveyard type structure, swamp villages, bigger witch house with a secret basement , forgotten shelter, snakes. (Mangrove and swamp are completely different biomes with many similarities):👁️👄👁️ Also if they revamp the birch forest and add tall birch tree then I would want snowy birch forest with small trees in separate section and snowy billazard.

I hope they make a unique village for the badland biom, hopefully wild west themed village with wild west themed villagers

Whrn I play modded with Create, there are palm trees, cocnut trees, crabs. "Lets do Beach Party" Mod also adds other beachy features along the sandy coasts like sea shells & new fish. "Naturalist" Mod adds sea gulls & other birds. The Mods have nailed it so I KNOW Mojang COULD EASILY change the deserts & beaches. But WILL THEY? I HOPE SO!!

I think that we actually need a "Cooking overhaul update". Because therr are a lot og foods like berries, carrots, eggs etc. Which are not useful at all or fill up very littlr of the hunger bar. With this new update they could add new cooking tools and mehabjch where we could combine some of those useless ingrediments to mske more complex and useful foods mabye with some effects like potions.

If they do update the desert and include meerkats they need to get their diet right. Their diet typically consists of insects but they can also eat rodents, small birds, scorpions and even snakes. Not a single fish in sight.

I want a desert update. Bring a new weather sandstorm it can be like a reskin of rain but that tan color as sand with a bit of that light tan surrounding the players in-game face like we have when we're freezing in the powdered snow. Also after a sandstorm maybe we can have the layers of sand maybe this is what makes suspicious sand but besides that maybe something else. We already have what the devs want to add meerkats, palm trees, some kind of food type, and an oasis. That's already four things and when you add my suggestions that's what 3 things sandstorm, heating, and sand layers it makes 7 things to add to make the desert thrive but there's one more thing. Tumbleweeds this could be a way to expand on many things like thorn armor for extra defense like when a mob comes to you it gets a bit damaged by the thorns, don't like that maybe you can harvest the tumbleweeds as dog or horse armor to defend your pet and transportation. I think this would surely bring it to be lively and the camel seems already a desert mob so wouldn't that make 4 mobs the camel, meerkat, armadillo with a reskin for desert, and the desert variant of the wolf plus a new 2 new plants the tumbleweed and palm trees. Maybe translate the sandy beaches to have somethings a desert has like the palm trees and layers. We all have our own insight on what a desert update can bring but what do you think of mine?

Its kid of supposed to feel empty and it already has villages, temples, bunnies, wells with suspicious sand to brush. They could add multiple variants of the desert. One variant could be desert dunes which are just sand and maybe the occasional oasis, scorpion, snake or fennec fox. Another variant could be the living desert which has a lot more life with desert grass, trees, cacti etc with meerkats, lizards or tortoises I dont see mojang actually adding all this considering it somehow takes them 4 months to add a basic mob like the armadillo

What if it’s the “Heat and Wheat” update. Adds new drops and tons of new foods + updates all the desert/savanna-y biomes.

I think if the next one updates the dessert it would be a warm biome update since the dessert, badlands, and savannah were all included in a biome vote with none of the features shown appearing yet

For a game that harps on the idea of being somewhat realistic (while taking some creative liberties here and there) The Savannahs in real life do in fact see some amount of rain. Albeit rarely when the region is not in drought. Perhaps the game could use a season system. Just to do a rough and basic layout on how these seasons can work in the world. Coldest biomes during winter time can have blizzards that limit visibility, cause more snow layers to form, potentially freeze the player similar to them being in powdered snow. While the hottest biomes can have either monsoons or sand storms (naturally for the desert), that have similar drawbacks according to their weather (namely, the player could get heat stroke, or have limited vision, drowning crops etc.) Other biomes that sit in the middle of the heat scale can have minor changes that simply has them appear warmer, or cooler with the seasons. For spring, more flowers could appear on grass blocks in more biomes. Or in the fall, the player can see the villagers celebrate a 'harvest festival' All in all, a more dynamic system for worlds to not only show their age as the player explore, survive and ultimately thrive in the world. But also a way to augment the difficulty system for hardmode other than simply making the mobs stronger and the player weaker. Early days may be gruelling, but starting in the end of summer and allowing players to prepare for winter during the fall could bring a refreshing change to the game. Not to mention highlight the use of items players may have optimised out in favour of getting netherite and then stagnating. Seasons dont even have to make physical changes to the world if that would lead to issues (for example if updating blocks and chunks would prove problematic), even a cosmetic change could work where blocks rendered in certain biomes and/or during certain seasons would change to reflect the theme of a given season/climate. A subtle change could make a big difference for the player.

If the desert gets an update, I’d love to see quicksand added like powder snow but in the desert

Desert got an update about the size of armadillo with a new desert temple room and archeology in well and temples and can't forget about the camel 🐪

If another biome gets updated before the end, I’m gonna be so mad! I love the end, and would absolutely love to see it get some love and attention

Id like it if we could have sand storms for a sand supply (similar to how we get powdered snow) rather than a finite supply of sand

What we need is ships, if that’s either a whole entity of just a ship that you can craft or take a pillager ship, or it be like a slab that’s a ship bottom that you have to make the base and then craft the anchor and sails and wheel. This would expand the game beyond what it already is and would expand the life of Minecraft. This could easily be added to a desert update saying we could have like pillager pirates and even like tropical beach villages. The devs need to put work into the over world because the world can feel so empty sometimes unless you go underground now, yeah it looks pretty from caves and cliffs but there’s no life to the game and a update like that would make idk the ocean which is a giant part of the game and what blocks you from traveling a lot more exciting. WE NEED SHIPS
