Sindhu in denmark semi final did notice her tactics and reacted quite bravely. Marin unnecessary crossing the net, coming to Sindhus court to take the shuttle. At one instance, sindhu avoided marin to take the shuttle. And there were words exchanged between them. Good to see Sindhu showing guts and countered her foul tactics.

Its not only her, but her coach Fernando Rivas too. In her quarterfinals againt TTY, I heard him saying 'Rompe su flujo a menudo' which means- break her flow often. Fernando believes and has said in many interviews that a player's attitude should be to win at all costs, do anything and everything to win and time wasting, grunting, etc are in the rules and part of the game. Also they don't care about this video or backlash she recieved after the WC finals, to them its a challegnge to overcome the hate by winning more majors. He said in many interviews that she is still not accepted even in many european countries and they want her to lose. I believe her achievements are bigger than anyone and she should be amongst the best of best ever to pick up a racket but her arrogance and sore loser attitude is second to none.

But yes I hate hate hate hate hate her mind games. This is also the reason why (imo) MB/CM from Denmark (for those in the know) were never considered part of the Golden Era and why I'll never consider Minions (current WC MD, the chinese twin towers that've since broken apart, the Japanese pairings) et al comparable to the golden era since the Danish pair could threaten the minions before they retired while they never held a candle to the Golden Era pairs.

Imagine just screaming (“trademark”), not even treating your opponents with respect, it can seriously take a mental toll on them. This makes them really irritated and as a result be much more angered and frustrated, and might hold their badminton grip more tightly as a result or just mess up their adrenaline/rhythm hence causing errors. This is really sneaky plays. This is why she’s getting very much of this much deserved hate…

She screams, you bark, she pushes the shuttle far away, you take longer to walk to it, when she finishes tidying her hair, you start with yours and so on. Yes, it's all mind games. If every opponent does that back to her in every match she participates (which she knows will not happen), it will gather "attention" from BWF to enforce a restriction on it, which at the moment, is left to the Umpire discretion. In a couple of years, when she is over the hill, all her antics would be forgotten, and she knows it that's why she is doing it.

If the end game is simply winning, why not just go one step further and try to give your opponent some food poisoning before the match so they cannot perform to their best? She has the capability of being world best, or rather, she is actually one of the world best. It is just sad that she has to resort to all these tactics because I do think she does not need all of these dirty tricks to beat the top players fair and square. Theres things to abuse outside her opponets lackings. Theres rulebook and umpire to force to walk on thin line. We're lucky that theres only 1 Marin. If theres more, BWF would crumble and the scene may only held by ductapes of unwritten rules and GA.
