Yeah purple can mean red in eng sometimes if I remember correctly. Theres a color called purpure, that can be said as purple too. And its more like red than actual purple. Ps. I could be wrong tho Upd. Googled it, most popular name for this color is magenta. In Russia tho we call it "пурпурный" - purpurny, which is basically purpure. Or I am just overthinking it and he's colorblind

9:12 actually, someone had an AMA who lives in Crimea. They said nearly everyone they knew wanted to be a part of Russia, and Crimea was basically unofficially Russian before Russia officially took over. The traditions and language were all Russian, and the people related more with Russia than Ukraine. It was a very interesting AMA if you didn’t see it.

Where you can see what the countries would look like if they had every inch of territory they claim(including territorial waters)...

7:25 The idea that 'might makes right' isn't a thing is a nice idea, but at the end of the day it all comes down to subjective international recognition. If Germany invades the Czech Republic and the rest of the world recognises that as being part of Germany, then hey presto, Germany got away with it. Same thing for the PRC annexing Tibet or Israel annexing the Golan Heights or North Vietnam annexing South Vietnam. 'Might' can be used to change a de facto situation, and the biased, subjective nature of de jure international law often then accommodates this. Case and point; when in 1979 the USA de-recognised Taiwan in order to recognise the ascendent PRC when it became geopolitically advantageous to do so. It all depends on the subjective interests of the third-part observer nation, and basically nothing to do with 'justice'.
