So I'm watching my six-year-old nephew for a couple of hours. Playing on the floor beside me with trucks. I finish watching this video, ...and check out the Muck site. "Whatcha reading?" So I read the boot description out loud. Still playing with trucks, he exclaims without even looking up, "I bet they're no good in lava." Everybody's a critic these days. Lol.

@@CanadianPrepper Right? But the sad thing is that, in our classes/presentations, we profess that the two most important words in prepping are "What if?", ...and that we ask that question to avoid ever asking the two worst words in prepping, ..."What now?". After what Tanner has been through over the years, ...I think it might be advisable to leave that part out of TPW. Lol.

Finnish army trains and fights in rubber boots, summer and winter (skiing compatible with felt liners), and some military posers laugh at us. Of course there are combat boots for when it fits the mission. But with all the lakes and swamps, we wear them from cradle to grave.

You guys even have probably the most famous rubber boots manufacturer in the world..Nokia :P But yes, we (80 km to south:) often wear rubber boots the same reason. Lots of swamps and moist areas.

@@haanjamiis Oh yes, the Nokias are a legend. I did my service back when the felt lined winter boots were introduced to the northernmost bases. Frostbites on the feet almost disappeared overnight, a real improvement. Can´t believe we made do with ww2 era jackboots and greatcoats well into the 80s!

I swear way too many "men" these days are more worried about FASHION rather than FUNCTION. A bunch of wusses is what they are! Practicality is what should matter most. If it was done a certain way before (and worked well), then that proven way shouldn't change with the times, but sadly it does. They always gotta reinvent the wheel, as the saying goes. Corporate marketing targeting today's dumbed down generation is the biggest problem.

Complains about civilization, says "it's ok, gonna end soon" In a video recommending a consumer product Lol just yanking your chain CP, love your work
awsome, best channel I can find,i speak spanish, and your helped me to be more prepared for whatever is comming thank you for everything, you deserve more
i'm glad you discovered Mucks! They are nice to have for wilderness an wet areas.
Dude, I like the videos where you're actually filming yourself and talking a lot better than the ones with stock images, huge fan of your channel, no disrespect just perspective. cheers.
Got my 1st pair back in April and I must agree... very impressed with them for any and all of my outdoor footwear needs
Greetings CP the Falcon here from wonderful Ferguson Missour... I was a advit leather boot Hunter ,my friends who had the big farms in Northern Missouri always showed up with a good quality Muck Boot, sitting in their deer stands, I joked with them about their big old rubber boots until I tried it, now I have a pair with a thin liner on a single wool sock, slightly oversized Muck Boot keeping out the moisture, keeping the blood flow going engaging the cold Sub Zero winds truly is the key, they work!!!
got a pair. deffenetly a must for preppers AND any farmers, beach goers, ect… I love mine.
You are so right about those type of boots thanks always lots of info in your videos
Got to agree ... good warm boots are an absolute must. Thanks for the review about how Muck boots are in all seasons. They're great ankle protectors for walking in the bush. Glenn & Maureen
Been having my Muck boots for years - they are great!
Indispensable. I've had mine for years, worn my Chore Muck Boots out on the farm, walking in the woods, ice fishing, horseback riding in the winter, and snowmobiling. In really cold weather, as long as I kept moving (walking/working) my feet never got cold. Sooo comfy. I noticed yours right off in the first video with Lilly. Then I subbed & noticed this review. Love it.
Yup, MuckBoots Arctic is my choice in the winter when it’s really cold.
Solid advice! Having lots of experience with rubber boots commercial fishing and then in the oil patch I can tell you the same things! The neoprene in these new boots are just excellent. Gone are the days of having to wear bama socks to wick the moisture away from your feet!
I have a similar boot. Mine are Lacrosse, similar rubber/neoprene boot. Very durable. I absolutely love them. Here in Ontario we are seeing high 30°c weather, with little to no rain. So its these and my Crocs that Ive been wearing.
I wear mine in the in the winter! I used to deliver papers in them. Look for a soccer cleat sole.. AWESOME. I have Lacross Burley's.. LOVE THEM!
I Agree With You About Muck Boots, They Are Versatile, And Are An Important Part Of My Prep And More Importantly, My Winters Here In The Alleghenies Of Pennsylvania!! Having Dry Feet Has Been An Important Part Of Warriors Survival Over The Ages!!
I have Muck Boots for work. Love them, comfortable and good for year round use
I saw you wearing these when you were out in the bush with Survival Lily and thought "OMFG THAT'S GENIUS!!!"
BF Goodrich Xtratuf rubber boots was what everyone wore in southeast alaska, I used them for hunting, hiking, etc.. They called them Juneau sneakers...
Gonna go get these for my hubby asap! I can't believe we live in the PNW and he doesn't have a pair yet!
Listen to the man!! Super slip-on comfortable foot ware. Arctic Sport, say goodbye to cold feet when standing around in the cold and wet! The best!!
I’ve been wearing muck boots for about 8 years now. The best mud boot I’ve worn.
It really looks great out there! Your country has some great views. Much love from SA....
Already have a pair thanks.
Muck boots are awesome; I wear mine at the range during the mud season at the end of winter.
I was blessed to find my first pair of Muck Mids a couple years ago on clearance for $79 when I was working at a farm. They are phenomenal! I like the mids, because I can fold them down in the warmer months. Sloshing through Southern red clay in these is ok!
I've had my muck boots 11 years now. I hunt ,fish, and wear them at work in the winter. Still going strong....
I own a pair of steel toe chore muck boots. Love them for working on the little hobby farm I have. I had to get a full size larger then normal though due to always have had difficulty getting my foot in a pair of slip on boots, but the extra little room gives me the choice of 2 layers of socks for colder days or more absorbing/ wicking material.
Canadian prepper, I'm with you 100% on this one. When I first saw somebody wearing a rubber boot and 25 below zero, I thought they were nuts. Now I wear Muck Boots six to eight months out of the year 10 to 14 hours a day. Basically you could say it is my standard work attire, an office worker might wear loafers as their standard shoe, out here in the oilfield it's Mucks. Because of the heavy wear and tear on my boots out in the oil field oh, I go through a pair about every year or so. When I Retire Repair for minor leaks and whatnot I patch him up a bit and then they become a backup boot to keep in a vehicle. Each of my three vehicles and my RV has a pair stashed in them. As you mentioned, they are more comfortable, and warmer then your most expensive work boots.

@Publik Channel I drive a truck in the oil field, and it is a much much better job can you oil field van driving over the road. I'm home every night, and make nearly triple what I was making driving over the road. A lot of the jobs just depend on what you're doing and where you're at, as far as how good a job they are. I really like my job I get out in the boonies of Wyoming. I mostly work alone but I see beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife everyday.
Muck Boots are awesome, I’ve used them for several years (maybe 8 years ) I’ve worn through other boots in one or two seasons. Solomon hiking boots are awesome for backpacking and hunting in the mountains. I use Keen sandals when I’m river fishing when I don’t care if my feet get wet.
Good information! Thanks 😊
Oh, At first I thought it was the ability to walk on water.
Love!! Muck boots especially now cause a couple of designs have no heel so you can walk like a human is designed too. Thank another great video cp.

Good high quality rubber boots are a must have in any Northern Climate. If you get a pair, you will be sold, absolutely the best must have outdoorsman product, from Northern New Hampshire
Good all around boot to store in your vehicle
I have the Arctic sports and I love them. Had them for over 4 years. Still waterproof and no leaks. Almost to hot at -20F.
Been using them for a long time. Use them for everything!
Hey Nate, I have a pair of Muck Boots and they are labeled CHORE so I guess they are chore boots. I love them Very comfortable and has lots of toe room. I have to ware orthotics in my footwear and I am a diabetic of I need to pay attention to my feet. Here in southern Louisiana it's wet all the time. Everyplace is swampy even when its dry you will find swampy areas so a quality pair of rubber boots is a must.. I always wear merino wool blend socks from cabelas. great vid.
We call them wellies in the UK. And use interchangable socks as a liner. The good old Wellington boot. Hunters brand had since 1992 latex/silicone can roll 'em up and pop 'em in your pockets. Used to do a bit of fishing back then before bikes, beer, drugs, skydiving ect. ect. and lots of hard work in between with long hours, 6 months without a single LONG day off sort of hours for several years... 90s were my fun learning years. Ahh memories. Still doing 14 hr days graphting. Started 06.45 got in 20.30 today. Lifes a bloody peach.. and we have it made in the 1st world didn't you know.
Been had muck boots . They are the best winter boot . Farming , walleye whatever the best
AKA 'clammin' boots in Maine and just as many women have them as men :) You can get them with felt liners. Take it easy, Donna

my son wears his muck Boots almost everyday and we live here in Tucson Arizona doesn't get below freezing but he still loves them to keep his feet comfortable
I thought you were going to say a camping buddy like lilly. ;)
Pouring concrete footings in -40c, my answer to these are boots made by Italian company COFRA. their green patch rubber boot is amazing and nice and loose around fat calfs! But the Mucks camo deals are pretty nice too.
I’ve got Muck Hoser’s and I love them
I’ve had a pair of Muck Arctic Pro for a couple of years and really like them for reasons like you said in this video. But last year I got a pair of Baffin Trapper boots and they have become my go to boots. They have a removable liner and waffle foot bed to catch sweat that makes them warmer in cold conditions when not moving around much. At least for me. I also find them easier to dry (inside) and clean. Plus they’re a bit cheaper compared to the Muck’s. Having said that, the kid is right, they would be no good in lava. Thank you for the videos and the very well thought and research information you share. Take care.

Heer in Scotland we call gumboots 'wellies' for Wellington boots. Just so you know if your ever over here.
They run $120 American here. I bought a pair for my winter boots years ago, as we get a huge snow/thaw cycle here. I've worn 'em at -25 to -35, and they do a good job at keeping warm to those temps, though at those temps, I don't tend to stay outside for very long, lol.
I didn't realize you were on a stage set until the plane passed over. I looks so realistic. lol

CP: 100% brother. Like you, hikers lose their lustre after a day or two of rain in the woods. Tired of the wet feet. Got a pair of Dunlops on sale. God send. Everything from snow removal, to landscaping, all while providing great traction and keeping your feet warm and comfy.

Hi from Canada, love the review
Tried them... Too stiff, narrow and heavy for me when I usually wear minimalist shoes or go barefoot. Gave them to a friend and he can't be happier. Amazing quality and built.
ExtraTuff boots proven for many years in Alaska, I'm hard on boots and still averaged 2 years use wearing them pretty much everyday
Great looking boots CP
Great content !
Hey brother, love your videos man. Glad to see Marshal is doing well. Now about this video. I love these kinds of videos, and hate them. I’ll explain. I love this video because it introduces me to something I will need to add to my “prepping/camping/survival” gear. I hate this video because now I have to buy myself these boots. lol 😂 no real man, thx for the video and please keep them coming brother. God bless man.
"I'm not really trying to camouflage my shoes" -- truer words were never spoken.
been wearing lined rubber boots for 2/3 of my life, never had much problems with them winter or summer(though you do get damp feet after 14 hours during high summer). absolutely best part of equipment for any prolonged outdoor survival. would gladly buy pair of original muck boots, but prices are killer in my country (20-50% more expensive than retail price in US stores), so i'll stick to two pair of good wool socks and felt lined boots for now ;).
Muck Boot Arctic Sport is my boot of choice. Warm feet!
It's ok its all going to end soon. I love that!
Yuppers they re great i have 2 pairs of the wetland... 1st pair I still have after 5 yrs finally got a slice in top of foot.: def recommend em
The problem with those boots is that they get soaked in sweat.

My peon here in Mexico stopped work to pour out the sweat from his rubber boots.
I had a nice pair of Mucks boots and they was nice until I had to cut them off of my feet this past Spring because my feet was swollen so much until I could not get them off otherwise. I will get another pair soon and have them for Winter since that is what they was made for.
Had my pair for 2 years now i think. Still holding up great but starting to show some age. May look into replacing them after this deer season.
My boss bought all us artic muck boots a couple years ago. They are great!! Just dont spray them off with a pressure washer. That will destroy the soft rubber portion near the sole of the shoe
Mucks are my winter go to
Down here in Louisiana, Mucks are used by hunters, mainly bow hunters
Lol, best opening line ever
I have a pair!!!! I love them!!!!
If you wear two pair of socks a nylon against your skin and then the Merino wool over top and then you wear the gen 3 military level 1 silkweight and level 2 waffle long johns you can lock the socks into your long johns and they stay up all day long inside the mucks. I went hiking a mountain range pretty darn Steep and the same going down all day long and I never had to pull my socks up even one time and my feet stayed warm the entire time and there was probably 20 degrees Fahrenheit and foot of snow in the Montana Rocky Mountains. Totally enjoyed them.
Can't imagine being without my muck boots here in the UK
thanks!
I use Wiggys boots for arctic like weather. Oil riggers in Alaska use them.
yup some mountain streams can get to minus digits a good pair rubber boot with or without steel caps is mandatory..
Canadian prepper talking aboot boots!🤣😂🤣
Unfortunately I have feet that sweat ... a lot. So, after a hour or two I have pools of sweat in my boots. I searched around and discovered "Rocky Snake Boots". They are knee high and goretex so they breath and my feet stay dry. Come in Lace-up and a Slip-on style ... I have both. They are my hunting, hiking, camping boots and they are light but tough. Also they have a moccasin type sole so they are quiet when walking through the woods/fields.
Great review! Just started to follow ya.
Couldn’t agree with you more!!!
I’m in the deep deep south and totally agree with you. However down here 1 step further is needed. Snake boots... now all I gotta worry about are alligators!
I'm pretty much a minimalist when it comes to shoes and clothing. Only have one pair of "town" shoes, a pair of sandals, one pair of tennis shoes but always have a pair of chore boots.
Great idea CP. Lyme disease is very high in my area. Rubber boots just look uncomfortable.
Gore-Tex isn't a film they spray on, it's a waterproof membrane built into the article. Also, Muck boots kick ass.
I've a pair of DryShod rubber boots much like Muck boots except with steel toes. But the I've been from the crest of a mountain range (albeit at the pass) to the center of the basin with the boots during the winter on calls. My dress size is 11.5 to 12 but my boot size is 13 American or 14 for other insulated boots.
