SkyangelangelSky AJ im probably never gonna use a KZread acc again but imma just slide in to say that Hanayo’s high voice is different than Kotori’s, Nozomi’s, and Nico’s bc if you listen to Hanayo speaking/singing she has a bit of a rasp in her voice-which isn’t a bad thing!! It’s very unique, and can bring something new to a song! And something else to point out is that Uchida (kotori’s VA) already has a naturally high pitched voice, Hanayo‘s VA has a deeper voice compared to Pana’s iirc, she’s better at lower octaves like in Kodoku na Heaven and I think they should have lowered the octave here for her as well. As someone who would die for Hanayo her wonderful in this, while extremely adorable, was most certainly to be desired but tbh I think that’s more of the studio’s fault for pushing her to do a high note like that when she’s already pushing her voice limits with Pana’s voice as a whole. They may have made it like this /because/ of cute factor but imo they really, really, /really/, shouldn’t have.

mandy suffers I'm not saying I'm better than her, why don't you try it then? I don't think I ever brought up the fact that I would do better than her. Have you not seen kotoris actress' real voice? It's not that high, I'm just saying that hanayo's voice is easier to do than kotoris voice because hanayo's voice is pretty much a whisper so it would have been better if the actress literally sang with her actual voice instead of the Hanayo voice she normally uses. It wouldn't make a difference because her actual voice is literally the voice she uses in almost all the older songs that aren't in the anime

Brianda Cruz Probably cause her VA's voice is naturally deeper than Hanayo's. Kotori's VA sounds much closer to her character, so less strain on her voice.

Brianda Cruz I agree with you. I think the reason is because Kotori's VA (Aya Uchida) has a deeper voice than Hanayo's VA (Yurika Kubo). Ucchi's voice is more similar to Kotori's voice than Shikaco's voice to Hanayo's voice, so it doesn't have to be hard to do the Kotori's voice

-- MY FINDINGS FROM THIS VIDEO -- Yep, we're doing this again. Time for me to look too much into things for my own amusement. 0:00: Starting off strong with a pretty good one from Honoka. Hit every note with reliable accuracy, however there was a bit of a tricky spot where she fell about 30 cents flat on the B grace note. Overall, good "Wonderful", and serves as a great control for the remainder of the members. 0:09: Eli, oddly enough, fell flat on a lot of the notes that she hit, mainly the E. That's kind of ironic. Nevertheless, timbre is on point as we've come to expect from Eli. After all, she's the most professional out of all of them. She _is_ the second girl of µ's to fall flat on the B grace note where the syllable "ful" begins, however. 0:19: Wait, hold on, why is everyone falling flat on the E? That aside, Kotori was, as per usual, definitely in the upper half of the performances. Main note content on point, however the grace note left a lot to be desired, but maybe this might just be me not knowing what things are. Also, can we talk about how cute her voice was in the little spoken part? I practically melted. Regardless, great "Wonderful". Stan Kotori. 0:28: Where do I begin? Umi hit every note with machinelike precision, which is kinda almost as freaky as Rin in the last time I did this. Sadly, no grace notes were sung. This saddens me, as it adds a lot to the song to have those little portamenti between notes. Ah, well, at least her vocal timbre was likely one of the best. 0:37: I swear to god Rin just naturally has a delay on her voice. Or maybe it just comes out when it's convenient. Oh, well. It adds a unique character to her voice, and I personally like that a lot. But that's not what you came here to hear, you want notes. Well, she hit all of those damn near perfectly. The only exception to this was on the E on the "der" syllable. Everyone falls flat on that note like the main character on the love interest's breasts in your average ecchi. 0:46: No. 0:55: Now remember when I said "portamenti between notes" is good? Well, that was not directed at Nozomi, so why must she stab me in the ears with that D# slide? Other than that, it's great. She hit every other note (I knew she'd get it), and the part at the end was, in my opinion, nailing the voice she seemed to be going for with it. Respect your superiors, except when they slide from D#. 1:05: I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't that. After last time's microtonal catastrophe, Nico seems to have drastically improved. The excessive idol-ing is still there, but she's now hit that sweet spot where she can reliably hit every note. Though the grace notes and portamenti run abound, there is light where there once was only Nico-Nico Nii. Also, the ending bit was good. 1:16: Wait, hold on, that says "dunderful"! That's not right! Other than that, the plosive, although not part of the loanword, means she is not only able to hit every note, but also get a couple unintentional grace notes in. This is of importance to someone like me who kinda likes it when anime girls screw up in cute ways. That being said, she sang a great "Wonderful" and a great way to end this off. Overall: Take it from me, someone who has other than this never heard this song, damn near every µ's character is good in their own right here. Except Hanayo, but we don't talk about that.
