No they don’t. They give him money problems but it’s played off for jokes and has no impact outside of that. They give him dating problems but his love interest is a toxic piece of a crap who manipulates people to make them feel bad like going to marry someone just to make Peter jealous yet she’s made to look like the desirable girlfriend. He has no real issues and his underdog bullshit is not relatable bc none of it actually mattered and he’s a hero that everyone loves. Even his critics like JJJ is comical.. He’s not an underdog. He’s only an underdog to six year olds.

The idea of the "jokes" are meant to show how he is treated, for us is laughs, for Peter it's feeling like shit. This is not the MCU kid where everything it's a joke. There isn’t a single he grows from in the entire trilogy and his conflicts are solved instantly and didn’t even affect Peter before they were solved. They have no impact outside of one line of dialogue. Meanwhile Tom was repeatedly told he wasn’t good enough to get involved with serious crimes but nobody was taking him seriously, he would try to solve it himself and repeatedly fail and then get into worse positions. He got his suit taken from him, he got disowned by his mentor for a bit and he got his girlfriend involved by accident putting her in danger and had to step up and do better before things got too bad for him to fix. Meanwhile Tobey’s movie literally copies and pastes the same fucking plot twice in two movies. Spider man 2 is LITERALLY the same plot as the first movie with the exact same layout and writing. They even end the same way.

Each actor, Toby, Andrew, and Tom, brought their own interpretation of what vision of the directors thought what they wanted Spider-Man to be. Each one did a fantastic job and took a piece of my heart to invest in their Peter Parker.

Tobey still has the best Spider-Man suit on film. It looks sensational from every angle

I think Tom Holland is my favourite personally, but Tobey will always have a nostalgic and original feeling. And Andrew is just awesome.

I just love all three of them. And I grew up watching Tobey in the first three Spider-Man movies in the 2000’s decade. I was 10-11 when I saw the first Spider-Man movie in theaters. Then 13-14 in 2004 when I saw Spider-Man 2. And for Spider-Man 3, I was 15-16 in 2007. I saw the Amazing Spider-Man in my early twenties back in 2012. I didn’t get to see the Amazing Spider-Man 2 until last year. I watched Spider-Man Homecoming a couple years ago for the first time on DVD. Then Far From Home. And yesterday, I watched No Way Home. I love all three actors that plays Spidey/Peter and also the people that play their villains

The first 3 Spiderman movies I watched as a kid. I thought I had understood the movies really well, but your commentary made so much sense and I realised how much I had missed from the movies. This was an awesome narrative of the 3 different Spider-Man's. Really well-done. And clearly, the second version world of Andrew Garfield had lots of story and characters... but Andrew slayed it. He was really good, with depth, subtleties, a filled emotional life and a great existential exploration into that heightened reality. He was robbed in not getting a third movie.

I've always loved spider man as a kid growing up exited to watch every re-run, but to me andrew's version insued the most emotional damage to the audience with the amount of chemistry between peter and gwen aswell as uncle ben, the promises he made and the hard ships he had to go through with from the back and forths with gwen and harry.Andrew's version will always be my favourite due to the relationship with gwen and stunts performed . Although Tobey's version displayed more of a superhero/heroic style with the evil version of himself and being an amazing peter parker ,while andrew's was more a romance vibes and a great spider man and tom's was a mix of both balancing peter and spider man doing and doing a great job . At the end of the day they all did a phenomenal job and I think instead of re-runs they just portraying spider man in different ways like alternate times lines or universes each holding their own values and characteristics.

Toby’s movies are the best they showed us a guy living a normal life becoming a super hero and most of the villains provided sentimental value and had their own problems and the emotional scenes were a masterpiece.

If they ever bring back Tobey Maguire Spider-Man, I hope he's with the landlord's daughter she seemed to genuinely like him.

Tobey’s Spiderman 2 really hits man! It’s probably the greatest superhero movie

I’m so happy that NWH brought all these amazing actors back as for some they were able to reestablish their legendary roles like Willem Dafoe and Alfred Molina solidifying themselves as the only possible Goblin and Ock on screen while great actors who didn’t get the chance to do as well as the previous two such as Jamie Foxx and Garfield are able to get a solid book end for their characters that deserved good filmmaking and writers to show off their acting chops

@@theresonlyone8881 I felt that their reaction was pretty on point. Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man went from realization "String Theory, Multidimensional Reality, and Matter Displacement. All Real?" to giddy excitement "Yes! I knew it!" which shows not only how knowledgeable he is but how he can use it to deduce what's happening around him. Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man, on the other hand, is already far into his adulthood that his other two counterparts are and is more chill and mature than any of them. After getting transported, his first reaction was to find Tom Holland's Spider-Man after seeing the news, so his reaction was more of "Ok, this is happening, who do I help?"

Tobey was my real Spiderman and always will be. His movies taught many things like forgiveness, fight against evil, responsibility, scarifies etc 😭 He was teased by his friends a lot but after having power he never took revenge, this is why he is my most favourite superhero....Now I have grown up whenever I get depressed I use to watch Tobey's Spiderman...I will start crying whenever I take Tobey's name 😭😭😭😭

Thanks for that comment, I feel the extact same way. Tobey was my first spiderman, and I loved that his movies had something to teach. As much as I love Andrew (amazing actor and person) and Tom (simply adorable) I didn't see this approach in the later movies. It was entertaining and I felt for what they were going though, but the main reason why I love spiderman more than the other superheroes is because he's a normal person with everyday stuggles, while also being a role model and teaching kids (viewers) some valuable lessons. I'm glad the franchise is going strong, but it's Tobey for me. ❤️

That is true. It is too bad I was a kid when his movies came out so I could never understand full details. There are moments when I think how I could have missed some important scenes but maybe I was thinking in terms of an adult. How did a kid version of me remember and perceive things?

Toby EASILY has the best Spiderman movies. He just NAILS his part.

In the first 3 movies, MJ looks at relationships like free gifts from 10 years ago, forgets the gifts then goes to the other gift then coming back and doing it again and again in a loop

Tobey Maguire really nailed it as Spiderman, excellent character development. Every villain that he dealt with made him more experienced and it made him become more stronger, in the first Spiderman film he was really sloppy, awkward, and clumsy with his moves but he slowly matured and eventually got better which is what a hero should be portrayed as somebody who is constantly growing and learning hoping to do better.

I like Tobey because he starts out as a nerdy, awkward teen just tryna slip by. Sad thing is that he never leaves that phase after he gets the spiderman powers. I still wanna beat this loser up

Tobey spiderman was always inspiring and melancholic at the same time, to see him share the same everyday struggles as most of us connects me to this version the more than the others, you really don't see that with other heroes, and as he saves the city from whatever threat while taking all the shit from the press, I be thinking, damn....he still gotta pay rent.

For me tobey spiderman was more than a superhero movie, it wanted to tell its own story (a more recent example will be joaquin phoenix's joker, but more subtle, as it is not a reinterpretation). Meanwhile the new spiderman is more in line with other superhero movies, which maybe cooler and more comic spiderman, but also more forgettable once they start releasing more spiderman movies.

@@kappaspinning4832 yea I get, it was more about how he struggles to maintain keeping Peter Parker wants and needs in balance with Spider-man responsibilities. Its definitely one of the few movies that didnt try to make you feel it would be cool to be a superhero, every minute of him being Spider-man was a burden, except when he had the black suit and just stop giving a fucc for a moment

I really adore three Spider Man's. (Andrew Garfield, Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland). Those three made a great team. :)

I love how MJ in the Tom Holland Spider-Man movies still loves him unconditionally, whereas the love interests in the other two are hesitant due to the danger. Pretty cool.

@@heenam7201 Not really. From a psychology stand point, you’re more likely to fall in love, and stay in love with someone you’ve experienced life threatening events.. So it makes absolute sense that Tom’s MJ is as ride or die as she is.

Tobey's has the best storyline, Andrew's has the most dramatic, while Tom's has the most playful. This is only my opinion, you all are free to argue.

Tobey was such a perfect cast. If only the same guy could be like 5 years younger. He still looked young but it would've made a huge difference anyway.

I love that when you watch the plot in this style of storytelling, you're able to catch all the callbacks and small details that are so important in the Spider-man series

Keep making these videos, trust me these are really good! I enjoyed every bit of it and i now know about everything that happened. This is like when i was a child and people would help me fix the jigsaw puzzle. You helped me fit the jigsaw puzzle to know the story of Spider-Man. Thank you sm

Just realised that Peter’s spider sense tingling with Mary Jane when the car was being thrown at him in spidey 2 might be not only because of the car, but also because he sensed the overall long term dangers of being with Mary Jane. The spider sense at that moment might have been a lot deeper than we thought.

Could have been really long term in that any bodily fluids he leaves inside MJ, might be radioactive and him being with her could make her radiation sick in the long run and could kill her. That's what his spidey sense was telling him.

@@aeoliun wouldn’t the kiss count as a danger in proximity though? I feel like for the most part it’s a very strong unconscious intuition, simply based on the current situation and facts rather than having an actual sensor for “dangers”. I think having a very extreme and intellectual intuition is a tad bit more scientifically believable. Peter is a genius after all, this could be a good combination of spider/Peter DNA. And so I think it could explain having a sixth sense for long term metaphysical dangers (MJ) rather than actual objects being thrown at you

Coming from a family that struggled growing up, that scene with the $20 was emotional.

This is absaloutely amazing!!! My english is not that great but if it was good I would give you the best compliments in the world because this is so so cool. I love how you took your time and slowly explained each movie and even managed to cut them into 10-20min! Explanation is wonderful, editing was perfect and the scenes were perfectly placed, everything was beyond stunning! Keep up the great work and never give up! I can see a huge potential and future for you in the future :D

I wish MCU spidey did more 'Friendly neighborhood' stuff by saving random people and giving them hope, that was an aspect of TASM and the Raimi films that I really enjoyed.

I mean, they tried to do that in MCU, but I agree. Why is Spider Man identity is not revealed after the train fight? Or why people cheer when he returns to fight with Rhinoceros? Because he is loved by his city - people want him to stay. Probably why Spider Man is one of the most loved superhero’s

"Responsibility" was which keeps Peter from donning the mask it was a wake up call for Peter's teenage immaturity for his decisions ie: Sam Raimi's Spiderman letting the robbery get away to Mark Webb's giving his Dad's formula ending w/ Lizard Gas Spores threatening the entire city and Gwen's Dad demise. Itll be great if the next Tom Holland Spiderman had interpersonal problems to its premise as Stan Lee ideals when he created Spiderman was the "personal problems" which makes the web-crawling hero humanizing and relatable. Edit: Kung-fu hustle also had this direction.

That “yeah but those are the best kind” line was the absolute worst and I’m still not over it 😂

I watched this a month or two after I watched no way home for a general spiderman recap but thanks for the video it was very interesting and I watched the entire thing in one sitting

The transition from movie to movie is so clean in this. Well done

This is the first 1 hour KZread video I watched. Your explanation and summary kept it simple and understandable. Although this was an hour long, I was entertained.

When the city turns against Tom Hollands Spider-Man, I think it was a reference to when Norman said that the city would sometime turn against him.

The fact that I just watched a 1 hour 40 minute video about every single Spider-man movie without clicking off and switching to a different video

Knowing Tom Spider-Man going to go through the struggles of Toby Spider-Man in the his next trilogy has me excited

Toby maguire is my favorite Spider-Man brings back my childhood and I just washed spider man no way home it has by far exceeded my expectations that was a 5 star movie ❤️👏

Tom's Spiderman was bound to be exposed when you have a device that can start a live stream in less than 10 seconds and desperate reporters who don't care about privacy. Also, it was more of Mysterio's doing that exposed MCU Peter Parker.

Tobey Spiderman was always inspiring and melancholy at the same time, and seeing him share the same everyday struggles as most of us connects me to this version more than the others. also we can see things about the movie that made it more relevant at the time, ..its crazy to think how much has changed from 2002 to now what high school then was/looked like, to now

As a lifelong Spider-Man fan since childhood, I've seen every single one of these movies. While some of them had a few flaws overall, they were definitely still fun for me to watch.

I ended up watching no way home before watching this video but I had already seen every spider man movie I'm gonna say no way home was a great movie and surprising when Tobey and Andrew appeared but very heartbreaking in the end.

i already watched nwh, but haven't wacthed all spiderman. THIS MADE ME UNDERSTAND NWH SO MUCH MORE

In Tobey Maguire spider-man, the MJ relationship is perfect example of what a healthy relationship should not look like. She was real toxic and manipulative, I can't be the only one that thinks this right?

@@animatedsunday6481 he wasn’t a shy victim in the first minutes of the movie we see him stand up to Flash without any powers. He was always ready to fight for what he thought was right he just didn’t have the power to do so until he turned into the Spider-Man.

@@HighOctn the movie doesnt know what it want to be. A love story or action adventure superhero flick... no balance what so ever. The movie tries to juggle 5 to 6 different plots. Three very weak villians. The pacing is very slow. And the ending scene is so so corny man (child in spiderman suit).

Dude this man needs more than this amount of subscribers, hes sacrificing so many things to make this 1 hour and half video for us, im subscribing.
