Girori was never truly evil, he wanted the Kamen riders to save the world and have noble or at least significant wishes. He despised Ace because he kept winning, and from his perspective, all his wishes seemed to be petty and insignificant. Girori didn't believe Ace exemplified a good Kamen rider.

That's interesting, I viewed it as him being worried that Ace was getting too close to the secret of the DGP but this reasoning makes so much more sense for the ending. I always thought Girori coming back was kinda weird because I viewed him as just DGP staff and thus just a bad guy. This put that into perspective for me

Wish we saw more of Kyuun. Jiin gave Ace a new form, Kekera helped Keiwa get a new form, Beroba helped Michi get a new form. Kyuun gave Neon emotional support...

My only nitpick with Buffa is that he didn't get to see Toru after Keiwa revived all the people who died

Think my favourite part of this season is that a majority, if not all the desire riders except for ace, are just regular people. The finale gives off this beautiful message that not only anyone can become a Kamen rider, but that anyone deserves happiness if they desire it

Justice for PunkJack, my man literally carry the game by saving tsumuri, stop buffa from eliminating tycoon, literally the best supporter for Ace in the last arc

I honestly wish he came in with Monster Buckle for the final fight because it would have worked that he would fight with Ace in the end!!

Buffa was a really great rival. His arc in general I really enjoyed.

I think the way they resolved Neon’s wish for love as her parents finally loving her was cool

I like that the series took a little different approach this time, instead of the series revolving around the titular character like usual, this series is often shot through the lens of its secondary protagonists, Keiwa and Neon. It's often we see Keiwa and Neon be trying to solve a problem just to fall short and have Ace come and save the day. People might say he's a Gary Stu, which I'd agree to an extend but that adds to his character and also it's just such a breathe of fresh air to have somebody who knows their shit for a change. He moves in the shadows while the villains are kept busy by Keiwa and Neon. As a result, we spend more time with Keiwa and Neon. Keiwa is our tradisional hero who started as a doofus but later turn hero (ie gaim, ghost, ooo, fourze, zero 1, Ryuki), and Ace is the unconventional hero, a person who knows his shit right from the beginning (Kabuto, Kiva, Hibiki, w, decade) To me this is perfect bland of old and new. To people who like the tradisional doofus turn hero archetype would love Keiwa, for people who hate that archetype would love Ace.

@stupidabc4331 Ace has been around for 2000 years but he hasn’t been in the DGP for 2000 years, we only know like 4 named previous incarnations of Ace that were in DGP because they won at least once and left a wish for future Ace to use in ep 26. Even modern day Ace was like 21 years old but he wasn’t in the DGP for all 21 years. We know the modern one joined when he was in high school meaning for at least 10 to 15ish years out of the 2,000, Ace wasn’t playing in the Desire Grand Prix because he was a kid growing up. It’s most likely that Ace’s previous incarnations weren’t participating as kids growing up so he has less than 2,000 years of fighting in the dgp. Still Ace clearly has the most experience out of everyone so there is still a skill gap. He knows the secrets and secret missions and how things work.

Buffa/Michinaga was the best character of Geats. Initially a psuedo-antagonist, to making a complete 180, working with Ace, fighting against a corrupted Keiwa, and taking on stronger villains Beroba and Kekera with skill and strength even though he was outclassed, and finally taking Beroba out in an epic finish.

Geats is one of those seasons like Ex-Aid for me that though not every character was handled the best, I still can’t help but like most of them, most of them, I will never like Samas PS: keep up the quality Thomas, your work always puts a smile on my face

I'd love to hear a ranking tier list for Rider Troopers!!!!!!!! - Geats had many in their series from the Jyamato Riders, GM Game Master Riders, Guard Riders, & even The End Riders

Buffa was the runaway star here his arc throughout was so interesting. And i like that our main rider is such a mystery that even when u get to know him alittle we still really dont know what hes thinking or planning hes just an enigma amd i love that. Very tendou from kabuto

One of my favorites is actually Kamen Rider Keilow. He wanted more life in the beginning but then he realized that he should believe in the future of the young people instead. I actually continued watching Geats to know what would happen to him and to see him survive and decide to live the life he had left to the fullest was satisfying. He wasn't the strongest but fending off the powerful Jamato to protect the children, to be willing to sacrifice his own life for others, despite his scenes being not so many he is still a true Kamen Rider. I'd give him an S rank.

Design Wise Buffa has the best base form hands down! I would have liked the first round of the DGP to have gone on a bit longer, they introduced the fact that it's entertainment and the people from the future a bit too early. There was alot of riders introduced that went nowhere saddly like Mary. I really like neons arc I think she has a bit more development then other female riders. In the early days it really felt like tycoon was the main character and he really lost alot of that along the way. He reminded me alot of gatack from Kabuto.

Kamen rider keilow should be S tier because he goes through such an arc in the short amount of time he was in the show going from just a scared old man to having the bravery to stand up to the jamato alone even knowing he cant win and being content with just watching youth blossom. When the season started, my favourite was Keiwa, but as it went on, Michinaga easily became my favourite, both due to his role as Kamen rider Buffa, but also just cause of how his character and allegiances evolve.

Ace planned everything so well that he made himself part of Japan’s deity’s incase he died as a human. So now he’s immortal because of this and can always come back/be somewhere watching. Whether he can interact or not is his choice but for Gotchard, I can see he trusts the new protag for the battle coming up. Now I could imagine that any DGP events is either removed from memory cause Ace or ace is soo awesome he was able to limit the amount of attention to DGP event happens after the show

@@whatwhat244 The Keiwa thing wasn’t part of the plan, it was a inconvenience but they had to make him realize his mistake or shit so Ace pretends to lose. The killed part was a ass pull but it feels so much like Ace. Idk where you got the shot part unless you meant when Ace died by buffa, that wasn’t his plan to have someone revive him, it was Tsumuri. The shot part was something Ace would have done anyways

Another reason I like Sara becoming a Kamen Rider is that it was part of Kekera's scheme to get his entertainment.

All these characters were very well written. Even ones who didn't have as much screen time made a memorable impact. Looking at you Keilow!

Based opinion, but as someone who sees buffa as the second coming of christ cause he's so good either of his final forms do not be "looking slick". They suck big time.

Can you make a video about the popular set locations used in the franchise. Like which season use a location, which fight happened there etc...

I got some serious Gaim and Baron vibes from Ace and Michinaga

Honestly wish they did more with shiro lol. He looked like he had a cool personality.

As a game master per say, I loved Giori, he just seems to exemplify the no nonsense type of game master but knows where to draw the line between entertainment and sticking by the rules

I’ve got quite a few favourite characters in Geats, considering it is my favourite season so far. Ace is absolutely wild, probably my favourite protagonist so far, because I don’t know how my theories about him being the son of a god came true, but they did. Keiwa is amazing too, even if his last minute fall from grace is a bit weird, but how its resolved is beautiful. Ziin reminds me a lot of Parado and his redemption is probably my favourite part of arc 4, and him returning in the finale just made me so happy. Niram is now my favourite kamen rider villain too, he’s just iconic and gaslit half the cast in the process. And honestly, all of the main 4 are some of the best written and developed characters I’ve seen out of this franchise yet. What an awesome series.

Pre-Video Comment: I have not completed Kamen Rider Geats yet. So far, I have only watched until episode 16 and watched Movie Battle Royale. Because I don’t care for spoilers all that much, I have already read up on these characters and saw what they did in the show, so I have somewhat of an understanding behind what others are saying about them (not to mention if it interests me or not). But of course, I can’t say for sure how I feel about all of them. I don’t know what my favorite character is at the moment, but I am gravitating to Ace and Keiwa more so than the others. I love Ace’s confident and manipulative persona as well as Kiewa’s naivety and how his good nature being at odds with the DGP and its players. Edit: Great to hear your perspective on these characters, Thomas. While I wasn’t shocked or anything, it still was somewhat surprising, but then again I can say that about almost any ranking really. I guess I should comment about some of the other characters I’ve seen. Neon: So far, I really like her. Similarly to Keiwa, I like how we experience the world of the DGP through her perspective, and as a result, see the scale of it all and the conspiracies behind the scenes. Plus, her different interactions with the other characters and how they are contrasted with her parents to symbolize the different levels of love was good. I haven’t gotten to that game changing arc of her’s, so for now, she’s just a nice character that you can root for. Michinaga: I really like his backstory and how it factors into his desire and philosophy. Even though he will stop at nothing to destroy all riders, the memories and trauma from the past also holds him back from being truly despicable like say Da Paan or Mary. I was also really surprised by his early death, even after watching Ex-Aid. However, aside from that, I don’t have much to say about Michinaga. After a while, his stand offish and brutish demeanor kind of took me out of it a little. But again, that will most likely change after I watch the rest of the show. Tsumuri: To be honest, she isn’t doing much for me right now. She barely contributed anything to the first arc and that tsundere relationship with Ace never felt like it developed to where it needed to be. One second she doesn’t want to be with Ace and now she nurses him to health after being wounded. I never felt any sort of chemistry with them. Once again, that will most likely change once I resume my watch, but so far, I’m not feeling it with her. Win: Honestly, I found Win to be a fun character. I’m probably one of the only few who actually liked the contrast of emotions from the first arc to the second arc. But I do agree with you that Win just doesn’t do much here. He’s there to eliminate Ace, but that gets sidetracked pretty quickly until a couple of episodes later where he then gets brainwashed and “dies”. He felt like he was a wasted plot device. Then comes the Punkjack web special. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I actually watched that web episode too (p.s. I really liked the Punkjack web special!) Anyways, from the contents of that special episode, Win really got more interesting in my opinion. In addition to truly seeing the inner workings of the DGP, we also get to see what it means to actually work under them. Win’s horror to seeing the process of memory wiping to having to enforce that onto his friend paints the picture of how messed up the DGP can be and also showing Win’s humanity to contrast it. So yeah, Win didn’t really do much for me in the show, but then I watched that web special and then grew to really like him. Maybe not as much as the other mains, but still quite a bit. Kanato and Morio: For being riders that are only relevant for an arc, I find them to be rather interesting. They are basically of symbol of how the players aren’t any better to the villainous staff members. With that said, because they were quickly retired, I didn’t really find the two of them to be all that interesting as characters as it was more so what they represented in the game and to the other characters that I liked. Itetsu: It’s impossible for me to hate this character. Itetsu is just this really wholesome grandpa that only wishes to relive the glory days of his youth. That youthful energy present in himself is just adorable. At the same time, I also love that even if he has a desire, he refuses to sacrifice any young lives that are caught in the chaos. That’s something I like about this show. I enjoy seeing the diversity amongst the players and how they potentially bond with the main characters. Whether they be scums like Kanato and Morio or really sweet and strong willed like Itetsu, they tell us of the type of people that reside in our society. Man, I wish we got to see more of him (even though he’s in the movie). Takahito: I literally have nothing to say about him. His death scene was certainly a dramatic one, but other than that, nothing. Sara: She and Keiwa have a nice dynamic, plus she’s also a really nice look into the outsider’s perspective of the DGP and Jyamato. It would be nicer if she had more moments where her relationships with others, specifically Keiwa and Neon, were highlighted more rather than her just being a plot device for Keiwa. Irumi: The most memorable part of her was that she slapped Neon. I’ve got nothing else. Ben & John: I adore them. Full Stop. Giori: I’m somewhat mixed when it comes to Giori. On the one hand, I like how his negative perception of Ace further mystifies his origins and aim, plus Glare is a really cool Rider. But I never was engaged with him. When he hid is identity in the beginning, he was nothing but a background character, and then when he was revealed as the game master, I was then left confused with his motivation in eliminating Ace and how he never really got enough time to shine as a villain. Plus, his removal at the end sort of makes him feel like a minor foot note in the whole show, as if whatever he did felt like it didn’t move anything with the DGP along. I would comment on the other characters, but either I have literally nothing to say about them or I’m waiting until I watch more of the show to understand them. So far, these are my thoughts on the Geats characters, based off of what I so far watched.

Suel wasn't much, but he still was a better antagonist than Giff.

I really hope that Michael Kender and Tom Constantine come to a future PMC. Since it’s now including Kamen Rider actors. Those two are basically what also started me on the path to create Kamen Rider War Robots, as well as the War Robots game itself just needing to be fixed in general. I really want to meet those two and ask them if they would be part of the storyline for my OC.

I have some thought about Geats characters 1:Neon with me is the best Reiwa Female Character, when i watched episode 29 and learned about her truth i was shocking and sad for Neon, i remember when i hear the DGP audience say some bad word on Neon i somehow feel like my heart can feel Neon pain, so when Neon finally got her happiness i think it was good. 2: Sueru maybe not a very good boss, but i think he's better then some other bosses like Storious or Giff.

I would actually put Girori up in A tier just because how he sided with Ace at the end. I would put him is S tier if he had stayed in their timeline and actually became Tsumuri's father and protecting Ace Shrine together, but that's asking too much😂

Michinaga is probably above ace in my tier list. It’s funny that I’m saying that and I haven’t even made one yet.

My ranking Ace - A or S (I didn't like his cocky attitude much but his character really grown a lot which really change my point of view but still as a keiwa fan I still have little grudge towards him for being main character lol but that's personal) Keiwa - S (first of all it's personal he is my favorite character since first episode but I am still dissapointed because he was underrated and treated dirtyly many times) Neon - A (as a cat lover of course but as her character I found her decent at first but later her character really grown specially with the plot twist but sometimes she has shown weaker than others ) michinaga - S (my second favorite character from first to last and I don't think I need to explain sometimes he felt more like secondary than keiwa) Tsumuri - A(at first I thought she could be the female villain or a useless secondary female character but no she is polar opposite (specially with her goddess plot) and maybe the most loyal character in series) Win - C (he didn't do much except for searching for ace parents secret which was interesting but except for this none) Daichi - C - (cause he was very useless in middle arch but suddenly become too important and get a redemption arch I wish we could have dapaan instead of him) Girori -S (litterily the best villain whom you will hate to love) Zinn - A (he is kinda did at First but later he grown a lot he gaves lots of vibe from parado who was my favorite ex -aid character) Kyuun - C (he has done nothing much except for simping for neon and mentally supports her and again personal issue I will never forgive him to ruin my keiwa x neon ship) Beroba - B (a real bitch but not a bad as a villain character ) Kekara - B(personal issue I hate frogs but he was cool as a villain) Chirami - C (he was annoying TBH) Niram -A(not a bad as a villain or a dgp sponsor Kousei -B(he was more like a side character who suddenly got his emotional redemption arch) Irumi-C (she doesn't did much except for being a typical Asian mother) Mitusme - D (she felt more like plot device than a character ) Sara - B (she is just a typical side character) Suel - C (strong and important but very less focus character) Ben and john - C or B (pretty good but less focus) Samas, black tsumuri, and jitt - F (completely useless) I didn't put other characters like many useless riders because they doesn't appear much or not important in plot at all

Honestly I think Keiwa was done dirty by the show itself 😂 **Too Much Text Warning because I can do an Essay on this hahaha(on this and the whole show 😋). If you read all this I'm open to debate, or just to read other opinions** Watching videos and reading coments I see a common nominator with many people saying Keiwa was their favourite at the begging but then that opinion change. I Think thats because as Keiwa has your typical protagonist hero core he was liked by many, and he was more interesting at first, by having all the characteristic of your typical Main Rider (said by the show itself with Kekera), he had everything to develope and turn interestig as the common and ejoyed narrative of the weakling slowley learning and becoming stronger, in Keiwa's case getting closer to Ace level. But as you said, Keiwa at the beggining and the end was in his most interesting points while in the middle they barley did anything, even keeping him out of the game a lot. Even more than Buffa and Neon when we all agree Keiwa is the secondary rider. So why is that? My theory is that the idea was having Geats as the Main and Buffa as the secondary, since both were part of the games even from before Keiwa, by also showing their dynamic well enough at the begging. But due to Keiwa's base he has a lot more potential and a lot more to play with and the creator focused a lot in him until he remembered Keiwa was not the most important one, so he wrote him out trying to bring back the focus to Geats and Buffa. But since he set up Keiwa that much he couldn't keep him out compleatly. And started doing somethings with him but it ended up being weird despite being there he was deliberatly sided, as if the creator was trying too hard to keep him from taking to much atention from Geats. Keiwa's arc done properley would have been so much better and interesting! Like just think about it: _"This random boy gets choosen in this Battle Royale game with no explanation in which he has to learn to fight and survive with a finale goal of getting any wish he wants, finding the offering tempting by starting with such a pure wish as "World Peace", he was made fun if for his naivity, but it didn't bothered him. Then, later on he discovers the truth of the game finding out his parents died due to this game, but not only his parents but also a lot more people told by him by the other players he interacts with during the game, feeling sympathy and making the deaths a much more personal matter changing his wish from Peace for the Living, to Reviving those who has pass, not only for him, but for all those who lost important people like him. He got a little more selfish, but still pure in intend._ _What he didn't know was a scheme that was happening in the background with this mysterious Sponsor that rutes for him but in truth wants to make him HIS ideal Kamen Rider, getting frustrated on how pure the boys heart is and how he is not reaching "his potential" as the sponsors wanted, the boy was too pure, he needed drama and tragedy to be that ideal rider. So the sponsor ends up using the boys only family to achive that. In a way Making another Rider indirectly kill this family right in front of the boys eyes what finally brakes the boys heart, he has been witnessing a lot of bad and corruption, he has been judged and msitreted for his purity, but always stayed true to himself. However, the moment he saw his only and last remining family perish in the worst way posible in the show context. The boy lost it, he is depress, alone, desperate and full of hate, he was betrayed and swears revange deciding to keep fighting for that goal but to also make his wish real, bringing all those who have died in the game back to life, but as much as he wants to belive the wish is for others, his wish is now corrupted by intent, he wants the wish to come true thinking only for himself this time, at the moment he doesn't really care for anyone else, but he denies how far he has fallen to get that wish and the power needed to get his revabge. Then the wish is granted, but since the way he got it and the intend is now corrupted, there are negative consequences, these showing themselves on how everything that was just brought back was taken away from him again. It is now that the boy realize how wrong he was, how much he has fallen, and thinks how he is unable to go back, but denies it, he won't accept it, his actions becomes desperate and make no sense, all he did and sacrificed thinking that was worth it, was not, he defintly won't accept that, he is compleatly lost. So the only solution he can think of, is remaking the world again, but he has no real wish, he doesn't know whats right or wrong anymore. But then another solutions comes up, a light that was trying to reach his original heart before, one that he couldn't or more so, didn't want to see in the dark he was walking in, but since he has fallen so far being in deniel, he fight this light, but at the end, it reaches him, the boy accepts and admits his wrong doing and regrets, going back to the pure one he was before, with a new goal to work for this new solution, one that may not be perfect, but is the best outcome for those who live now."_ I mean, Camon! In paper his story sounds so good, and even more interesting than Ace being the Child of a Goddess what explains how OP he is or how Buffa's hate to ALL riders (who are chosen by a third party even if he didn't know at first) comes from 3 specific assholes that killed his friend... Instead of focusing the hate towars the Games themselves that gives the oportunity to those people to get their wish granted. But overall, One of the things that annoys me the most from Geats is how EXTREME and Chaotic the consequences of Keiwa's wish were. There was not proper set up for that type of outcome, the show itself prised Keiwa for his wish of bringging evryone who died back, some characters made fun of it and always called him Naive, but the vibe was actually a positive one as if they side wit him. So Even if there were Criminals between the resurracted, no one talked about that psoibillity before that, not Ace who most likeley met those terrible people before, nor Tsurumi as the Navigator who should have information on previous participants, and even if the Criminals came back, who said all would become riders or would cause such terror, they weren't an issue before, why would they be one now? After the wish almost all the characters were criticizing Keiwa for this new world of his, but there was no way he could have known. The idea of his wish having negative consequences since his Method and Intend were no longer pure at heart, would make sense, losing his family again? Ok. Affecting someone else? Ok, but not to THAT level. Beside, those criminasl who came back didn't became riders for the wish, clearly the Sponsors that were left choose them, so that would be more on Them than Keiwa, but they show it in a way as if Keiwas was reasponsabile. The Cause? Yeah, he brought them back, even if he didn't know, but the responsabillity shouldn't have been that much on him. Idk, it felt so extreme to the point it felt force as if it was done like that only to get a point across on how wrong Keiwa was and how right Ace was. The problem was not the Idea, was the execution. But Idk, all that is mostly speculation based on what and how I felt watching, everytime Keiwa was gone it felt weird, like a missing piece (the way it would feel if Geats or Buffa were remove from the picture), and like I said the consequences of his Wish felt too extreme. The punishment were to much for a wish that is not a bad one to its core. I also think all that because as a character creator myself, sometimes when you create a character, you start with an idea in mind, but while write them a personallity, a story and a context is like they come life and sometimes the characters themselves surprise you, but since you have this original idea you tried to keep it that way, but it won't feel right anymore.

god i was a buffa enjoyer at the start of the season but the fact that he does not change as a character for most of the show REALLY sucks, especially since they absolutely could have given him a ton of depth concerning his feelings about being revived from death. give this man impostor syndrome. i want to see it. also keiwa was mid for most of the show but the fact that he became a gang leader on complete accident is hilarious to me

According to statements in the show: Sponsors of the DGP provide funding or some other service (Neon’s dad, Win’s grandpa, Beroba) Supporters are audience members from the future that support a specific Rider player, rather than sponsor the entire operation.

starting with ace i honestly thougth during the beginning that he was going to be a gary stu like touma im glad im wrong and has actully good development for me keiwa the first time i heard about him I wasnt very intrested with his character at the beginning because it felt sort of like generic world peace heroes Neon is decent but actully likeable her twist is honestly really dark which i agree with you is unexpected and also I agree as well of her mom should her mother suffer for her concequences Im genunily not happy with daichi being redeemed and becoming an ally to the main cast this guy literaly is dangerous as fuck he did all of that and he is now a good guy Dapan I geninly dislike him not because hes badly writtin it´s because his motivation is really dumb I no longer can play football so now I hate humanity its just really stupid Kamen rider geats with so many riders is genunily an ambitious move on their part still wish we had the other armed buckles with that kind of ambition obvisuly due to bugetary reasons they could not do that

Da-paan was such a wasted character. The first arc of the season they gave him a strong presence and even tho he was an asshole and didn't last in the game, he left a good impact on me. That was why I was really excited when they announced his comeback, only for them to did...nothing? Like literally. He was just used for an episode of Neon development and then gone. I was confidently going to throw him into A tier after the first arc but then they brought him back for nothing and now he's just a C tier for me

I think PunkJack had nothing because he had a small presence in the show. He could have been a very interesting gateway into the politics of the DGP and it’s management. It was a bit of a disappointment that they stunted that off into Punkjacks dvd special.

Sorry to say but i kinda, well not hate aince it would mean i have any strong emotions towards it, but find Ace an extremely boring protagonist, and that's due one thing only, he could not lose, as in the show would not allow the characters to lose. So why the fuck i would care for whatever conflict Ace got into since he would just pull the victory out of his Ass with an contribed bullshit? And before anyone go on about "his mistery factor", im gonaa be real, they straight up tell us his deal by episode 3. In a way ace embodies geats as a show , agressively mid, full of asspulls but somehow people still say its the best thing ever because "it's diferent".

And then you realize it is "Different" for Kamen Rider but not at all special as a piece of fiction overall 😂 I'm not a fan of Geats either, I think is overrated, the concept is not really unique, THE IDEA, Maybe, but the execution? Eh... Maybe I've watched too many Anime with "Battle Royal Game" theme but I found the Geats Plot very predictable. I don't think it is bad, but it could definitely have been better :P The Action and the Suits though, those are cool 🤌🔥
