this is why i say quality of line vs quantity. if a member with a few lines can get a good part that stands out, it’ll make up for the lack of lines.!at least in my opinion

Ryujin being the most actually makes sense, because the main rapper's aren't supposed to have the most amount of lines

it depends of the group actually. in a group that it's more rap focused, the main rapper will probably have more lines (example: balckpink, (g) i-dle, skz)

She also gets a lot of solo raps which is nice especially since some groups find it hard to give their main rappers full length raps

i know line distributions are a sore spot for everybody, and understandably everybody wants more for their bias. But at least one positive we can take away from this is the realization that whenever we think of a song/MV, some of the most iconic lines always belong to the members with the least lines. So no member is ever not remembered as an important contributor to the song/MV just cause they have less lines.

Ryujin has the most least line, but she still shines..., I always notice her every comeback

Wow that's so interesting! You know what, i think this just shows that they let every member shine throughout their discography. All of them have iconic lines and even when someone has the least, they still have something that makes you remember them. For example, when i think of Icy, i remember Ryujin and here she has the least lines! I feel like overall, the attention the songs, mvs, and choreograpies give the members is quite fair! Which makes me satisfied. Tbh i'm surprised that Yeji even had a spot in this video, haha...

This shows that you can give a member not have as much lines but let them shine. Don’t get me wrong, I am aware that there are idols who have like 2 seconds or don’t even have a solo line or when a group because member and friends but when it comes to Itzy they all have a reasonable amount of lines and I honestly didn’t notice that Ryujin had the least lines most of the time because she still had such a strong presence in their music and a lot of her lines were iconic/stuck out so much that she still got too shine. Same goes for the other members that placed last in other songs. They still felt very much present even with fewer lines. That’s not something every K-pop group can achieve.

This made me realize how pretty Lia's voice is. Her voice is springy , bright and satisfying to listen to. her lines in voltage and blah blah were so good Can't wait to hear her voice again

I love how despite the rappers of ITZY having the least lines in most of their title tracks/songs, they still feel present regardless. Showing thats the producers/JYP is doing well on managing their line distributions, but its not just the line distribution but its the way that they deliver it, making their parts of the songs memorable. 💝

Well it actually makes sense. I mean, when I was younger I used to make line distributions on my own (for example "how would a 8 members group sing dalla dalla") and, even if i gave to the main rapper a lot of rap lines they would always be last. So, when you rap a sentence you're always faster than if you sing it. I say this because I've read so much stupid comments about line distributions and I can't stand it anymore. Of course I'm not hating on this video or the creator, it's just a general thing PS: english is not my first language, I hope that I'm writing this correctly

Well, in terms of numbers there should always be a member who has fewer lines, but in Itzy there is a very good distribution of lines, so no member goes unnoticed. Plus, generally the one with the fewest lines has the most memorable ones, so even if she sings less, you'll remember it because it's catchy

I'd also like to add that if this was made based off of singing *time* and not the *amount* of lines, then it makes perfect sense for rappers to come out on the bottom!

I think, imo, that first of all yeah they are 9 and ITZY 5 so there is a big change, and bc in ITZY most of them have stable vocal, and their music show all members talent, instead of twice or for example most of time, the rap line don’t have line bc there no rap or not enough time, + both of groups do 2 diff genres of music
