This happens to a lot of anime and overseas cartoons, as well as blockbuster movies on streaming services, Shows and certain seasons of spin-offs of them enter into contracts with streaming services, and licensing filters as well. Certain sections of Whose Line? are probably under a licensing contract which prevents them from being uploaded AT ALL. Essentially, all the old UK footage is not under license anymore, (at least not being renewed actively I wouldn’t think) so those are kind of like a “faux-Public Domain” where there’s not a super active license out there looking for re-uploads of it, and the newer seasons and episode of Whose Line? are still under a contract or license, so they’re blocked on certain streaming services and/or certain countries.

Gotta admit that Drew Carey served up some REAL BANGERS when he joined the hoedowns 😂

The hoedowns actually do show Carey off at his best, I admit that. But I really don't think as an improv artist, he is anywhere in the same league as Ryan, Colin, and Wayne. And I think he knows that. He's a good laugher and can laugh at himself, which is more important sometimes. Has anyone done a collection of Gepetto jokes on Whose Line? 🤣

They specifically looked for established standup and improv comedians because that scene was very weak and small in UK - Collin, Ryan and Brad explained it in many interviews.

I agree. I normally LOVE British sarcasm/humor. So I’m not insulting. But the US was just better and the US people in the UK era definitely carried. But it’s just my opinion

It's amazing how Collin but especially Ryan are able to not only rhyme and stay on theme but also deliver a punchline. Most of the other acts can only get the first two. Collin phones it in a lot though, but always in the funniest way

I feel Tony Slattery's hoedowns are very underrated and overlooked, esp his "old western" accent. They're funny, clever and witty. So sad his MH and subsequent addiction took over him so badly he ended up getting fired. Such a bright, funny and talented man.

I've just got to know this great show a couple of months ago, halfway across the globe from where it is popular... because of this game! I've been listening and tried to save all copies of the new version hoedowns on my laptop. Just at the time I felt bad there's no more new episodes of Whose Line, this compilation is released! Thank you for spending the time for ALL THESE HIGH QUALITY cuts!

Season 7 & 8 was comprised completely of old footage, season 8 mostly. Some hoedowns will be on the same topic, as they usually film multiple verses and then cherrypick the best ones.

Very nice work on this!!! Sad about the CW hoedowns as there's a few funny ones there I wish could have been included. ("Cheese" especially!) Only hoedown I can see that is missing is "Reading the Will" from UK Season 7, Episode 3. Any plans do this with other games like Three-Headed Broadway Star? Or maybe some of the lesser played games like Song Titles or Quick Change?
