Such a nifty coin. Size, design, everything about it is just fine. Must add that the Britannia reverse is more to my liking than the Golden Hind.

Thanks for watching I can never decide my favourite of the two designs

I once found a half penny in the streets, it was dated from 1979. I have it somewhere in my coin collection. I have no idea how valuable it is, but I don't want to sell it. I sometimes go to the shopping centre in my town to buy foreign currency. I'm looking to get dozens of different countries currencies when I get round to buying them. I already have a few bank notes and hundred of coins from all over the world. I always ask people from other countries if I can have their lowest value coin. A Japanese lady gave me their equivalent of our 1p coin, it is made from aluminium. I have middle eastern money, Canadian, New Zealand, European, Asian, American, African, Turkish and many more!!!!

@@BitsAndBobsCoins Yes, what I really want is some North Korean won, both coins and notes. There are also some self declared republics in Europe that have their own currencies that are hard to get. One in Macedonia and one in Germany.

at least you are giving us the honnest value, by not saying some are worth 300,000 pound.

Strange how they minted over a hundred million just a few years before decimalisation knowing they would be taken out of circulation in a short period of time.

It was due to Royal Mint and government concerns that hoarding might become a big issue so they decided to play it safe and mint huge amounts to ensure a decent supply during the intermittent years between last mintage and decimalisation.
