Special thanks to the AI in this video. CIG instructed to them to not react in any way or shoot back, to allow for weapon testing. This in itself is impressive how they can follow orders like that. You can even see some of them hesitating because they fear for their lives and occasionally respond. Pretty advanced stuff.

Nice Video, the way you were presenting the weapons it felt like you were somewhere behind an asteroid in a caterpillar dull of weapons making a sales pitch to a mercenary outfit. Love it.
See if you can get this pinged across to Gamespot for them to do a loadout episode with Johnathan Furguson! I'd love to see what he thinks of these sci fi weapons!
11:18 also unique for requiring the operator to dislocate both shoulder and elbow to wield.
Not to go into too much theoretical detail, but i suppose the barrel of the laser weapons has something to do with the focusing lenses of the weapon's overall output, hence beefy barrel = lots of focusing lenses = yes, essentially more pew-pewey

Yeah, I was thinking something similar. It's not like gas pressure matters for a laser, so caliber is kind of meaningless since the "projectile" is not a piston. That being said, you could fit a higher-wattage laser into a bigger barrel and also better lenses- although realistically, if we are applying real laser logic, it would be a columnating lense so there isn't one focal plane that the enemy would have to graciously stand in to be shot. I guess big barrel > fat laser > focus lense > columnating lense > lots of pew pew. I am definitely thinking about this too hard...

To be fair, it's a royal pain in the ass to get your hands on some of these weapons. For example, the Karna is my favorite gun in the game bar none, but it's only sold at a couple of the stations in the middle of nowhere. Usually when I decide to go buy one, I buy as many as I can get my hands on so I don't have to keep going back to those stations.

@@kajek1229 This game looks very nice but it has some bugs the size of a house, it's been in pre-alpha for I don't know how long, they never decide to release it because otherwise its creator Chris Roberts would stop making millions every year selling spaceships from the game to a minimum price of €50, it's a million-dollar scam, the people of Forbes magazine already said it and I don't know they were one hair wrong
The videography in this is very impressive!! Well done highlighting all the beautiful details in SC's guns.
I love the guns in Star Citizen. They feel unique from each other and don' t feel like their just "Here's a fast one and here's a slow one pick one" instead they all have cool ammo types and have cool things to each.
Dude awesome video! Thanks for making it, I haven't even taken a close look at the guns and now I appreciate them even more now. Star Citizen has insane detail
By far the best & most comprehensive showcase of star citizen's fps weapons. Visuals, sounds, video production... Everything is kicked up a notch compared to other youtube videos. Thanks, I enjoyed every bit of it. Video liked, and I subscribed to your channel.
Damn loved this video. Had no idea how much I would enjoy a weapon focused video like this, glad you made it.
I followed you back in the BF3-4 days and I'm thrilled to refind you covering SC. This content is great and super helpful as the game evolves. Thanks.
Gotta say, I'm a big fan of Behring's guns. The believability of the designs without the over the top sci-fi elements keep things nicely grounded in reality.

It is also like 900+ years in the future. I love the designs but that's cause I'm a caveman compared to what weapons would be in the next millennium.
In lore of star citizen , most "Laser" weapons are actual super heated Plasma contained in a magnetic field. not sur if this is true on the hand gun side of things but it might be.
This is a great video LevelCap, really enjoyed a deep dive into the weapons
It's like the guy in Better Call Saul presenting his guns to Mike in the motel room
I love how the bullet comes out stuck to the shell after it’s been fired
Nice, well paced and excellent accompanying video. Some of details I never really looked at ✌🏽🎁
i honestly love how the ybarev guns do look a bit retro futuristic without actually looking retro futuristic, it feels like a wink to retrofuturism but the materials and such still feel just futuristic. Thats to say, it feels like if that tech existed it could look like that, instead of just looking like a cool but goofy mix of asthetics. They didnt just make the gun look steampunk like youd find in universes that mix scfi with fantasy, like league, overwatch or paladins. It actually feels velibable
Been playing SC for nearly 3 years, I like the p4-ar, coda pistol, fs9, and custodian. Will have to try out the fs55 for sure. Tyvm for this awesome video and info
Very cool video, thanks for showing all weapons. I like the Karna Rifle. I like the lightning weapons a lot too but i get crimestats a lot as the ightning jumps over to friendlys ;D.
The visual presentation and camera angles on this showcase were magnificent
I feel like I’m in a gun store in the future and you’re telling me about the guns, good video
Now realizing how many details I'd been taking for granted.
I believe the energy bolts that ‘laser’ weapons fire is plasma. It has its properties and SW, which was used as an example, use plasma for their ‘lasers’
Hey man! Thanks for this video, I have never played Star citizen but very cool to see the ships/weapons, their design team are quite talented!
I've been looking for a vid like this, thanks!
This was a great presentation addressing an important part of the game loop on foot 👍
Great video. I love the FPS weapons in SC
To this day i had no idea the gemini blue ring was actually a fan and moved
Outstanding video, LC. Thank you!
I’m impressed by the trigger discipline on those close-ups. Behring is my fav. manufacturer :)
I am new to SC and love this amount of details in that game! Especially the the high qualit weapon models. Love that! 🙂
I really love this style of video, please do more of these. (maybe armor?)
I like how all of the weapons are good and there isn't really a bad choice, at least for PVE. I always just get the P4-AR and the P8-SC just because I know they work, but I should try more guns. This was a helpful video
Quick not about the salvo frag pistol, It is actually a hand shotgun when it does it's charged shot. The descriptions basically says it uses tech to freeze the current chambered bullet and then ejects it as normal, but due to it's brittle nature of the shot it will fragment on discharge from the barrel.
This arsenal is wicked impressive when you compare it to Planetside 2. Perhaps fewer weapons (for now) but they are actually distinct in visuals and mechanics.
I’ve been playing Star Citizen for a long time, and I never stopped to appreciate the variety and detail of the weapons like this video has. Really good stuff.
I find it highly amusing that despite the sci-fi setting, all these weapons aren't just styled differently but have actually companies behind them that stick to those styles like in Borderlands. I've been think about maybe jumping into SC with the Avenger Titan package but am still undecided as of right now. But at least I know that if I do get into it I'll get to see some really cool guns.

Great video man, you've been consistently entertaining for over 10 years. This brings me back to your Planetside 2 content.
Man i miss games that used the XM80s. Early 2000s shooters were so cool
Thank you for the sharing, as a star citizen player I still found this very cool
My preferred weapons of choice are the FS-9 LMG and A03 sniper with size 2 suppressors, nice damage and minimal noise.
Awesome video it would be cool to hear about the gun mods flash lights, laser pointers, sights, scopes, suppressors, silencers, sustainers, custom paints and knifes too :)
I like this guide because it presents the usefulness of EVERY weapon as contrasted by other guides that make me simply want to avoid some weapons that the narrator dislikes. Now I want to try them all.
The thing that really hit me from left field when I first launched star citizen was just how much effort went into the fps aspect of this game
Not a fan of the sound design of most weapons, but the visual detail is amazing.
@brandonerwin7031
Жыл бұрын
I agree to a degree. Many of the shots you are hearing are also in space. So you have to keep that in mind. And you have a helmet on, which will suppress and change the way the gun sounds. As with anything else though, they will likely do a full rework of weapon sounds.
@yous2244

I never liked future guns anyway. You'd think in the future guns would look slimmer and lighter. But no, they make very bulky heavily guns. Don't know why they do all that🤦🤦🤦. Well if I was making the game, I would say they're bulky because they have high tech mechanics that disperse push back and stuff which decreasing recoil and makes the guns more accurate. would still like them to be thinner, I mean look at the modern ARs, they're taking out as much as metal as possible and making light and tough alloys that don't effect performance. That should actually be what future weapons look like.
@ugrena7419

This video doesn't go a very good job of showcasing the sound design. Gunshots sound different based on environment, and whether or not you have a helmet on. It could absolutely be better, but for it being what I assume is a first pass, it's pretty stellar. I imagine in typical CIG fashion, it'll get an overhaul in the future. At the moment it's serviceable, and not super high priority.

@@yous2244 SC is very backwards in some aspects of its futurism. For instance, most ships have WWII style manned ball turrets. It seems like Chris Roberts wants to create a more realistic depiction of Star Wars than something that feels like it's set in the 30th century by modern day standards.

Good job buddy. Did miss the Wow Blast... however seeing as it fires foam darts that deal no damage I'll let you off xD
God, these designs are pure beaty. The designers put a lot of passion, imagination, and consideration into them.
FS-9 with silencer and laser, Superperforator
Good to know the differences between each gun and how they function. Anyway back to my Gemini sniper and FS-9 for all of time
Great vid thanks!! I would love to know more about the different suits of the star citizen universe. I would love it if you would consider doing a video on what we know about the different armor manufacturers, task types, and atmospheric capabilities thus far. I would forever be grateful. Your video here seems to be the best on firearms in the PU that I have ever seen. So, again thank you.
I love that pretty much every gun has something cool about it, usually something unique mechanically. That's how you make memorable guns.
This is dope I got some ideas on making each type of weapon more strength based on ammunition type im glad they didn't cancel this project

also a positive point for the P6 sniper rifle is, that is has the lowest bullet drop (if you have gravity^^).
Excellent job .... I will follow you to the end and no one does it better you are great teacher
I always like that each of guns has manufacturer it makes the game have world building and distinguishing to each other and hopefully each of the weapons have their identity that reflects their manufacturers
The A03 is my favorite gun in the game, makes a great scout rifle. Will drop most things in 1 shot to the melon at medium range, has great ammo capacity, and the ammo is slim making it easy to pack extra.
All the guns feel and look really good. My personal fav is S71. Now if the A.I was actually fun to fight then I'd find myself doing many more Bunker/cave contracts.

Excellent. Great explainer.
Love the Karna rifle, one of my fav's for sure the burst mode is fantastic and the charge up while hard to use, it really satisfying Coda as a side arm is a lotta fun, done many a run with just that pistol and lots of mags and who doesnt love shooting down ships with the rail gun? XD

Considering I don't have a PC but I want to get into this game eventually, channels with videos like this are invaluable for information. Any chance you might do some on armor?
Love the FPS guns they have now and am looking forward to them adding more of the ones they have been working on.
Love all the weapons so far within Star Citizen, but I definitely like the more classic and real life look of the Behring weapons. Personally, while flashy guns look cool, I'd rather have a simple gun that's probably a lot easier to work on, in case they decided to add the need to break down and clean/repair firearms within the game. Would definitely love to see a video covering all ship based guns the same way this video covers small arms. Loved the style and simplicity of the video, not overdoing it with statistics or anything like that.
My most common weapons loadout is the FS-9, the P6-LR sniper, the Salvo Frag pistol and a Sawtooth knife
Doubt I'd ever personally play this game but I really enjoy watching people playing it. Looks great.
Karna Rifle is definately my favourite and a real joy to use in 2-shot burst mode especially, deadly and accurate, easy to handle yet packing a punch. Also sounds amazing.
The weapons are definitely some of the most amazing assets along with ships. They share the same atttention for detail und uqniue brand characteristics and design. I think the sound has definitely room to improve a lot, but that is true for much of the game.
yo the coda pistol design is sick as fuck. and i really like how the atzkov cycle animation shows the resistance and heaviness of pulling back the bolt. also the microwave gun at the end looks exactly like the wave cooker in deep rock galactic
These weapons models look amazing!
Great stuff!
Great vid man, very you.
Yubarev Pistol - Amazing, I thought I had found one in a relic (get the boxes mission). This IS the type of weapon I would use. Right now, I'm really liking the Demeco, maybe you can change my mind
Not just the guns, Load up Star Citizen on an 8K screen and look at the detail of the woven material on gloves and suits. The attention to detail in this game is insane. And yes, it will run 8K, just super chunky.
The handguns are among the most detailed objects in SC. I really enjoy looking at them in the game. Also the animations. Strangely enough the armour is not as high-resolution up close. In the reloading animations I find the sliding in of the magazine containers the best. See Devestator. Revager, Custodian, Coda pistol are also good. The Atzkav precision rifle looks the most elaborate. R-97 and S-71 could be from Crysis 2.

That’s a netcode thingy and requires persistent entity streaming (PES) to be more polished first. However, you might like to hear that for Squadron 42, they just recently reported to have smoothened out some animations. But hit detection is a bigger problem that needs more tinkering in the very foundations of the game code (just remember the battlefield 4 launch… such things aren’t easy).
Archlight, Karna, amd P8 (or custodian) are my favorites
