@@chickypersonal To be fair, the Cantona days and Ronaldo days were only 6 years apart. It’s not like Giggs who played with Mark Hughes in like 1991 and then with Van Persie in 2013, now thats crazy.

@@accountuser5588 Yeah but that wasn't the really fun glory era, GIggsy lived through the beginning and most of the end of it, but Ole went through it with about 2 years off, I felt he left 1 year too early and could've been a double Champions League winner. Wasn't really aware yet either of the earlier times, only started watching Man Utd and football in general round '97. Hope he can smack the boys around and win something big this season, I really like what he's done, just needs to find consistency

The angles he finishes from, the way he follows up every chance like a true poacher, runs into space... absolute quality. He should be the #1 substitute striker of all time in everyones book who watched football from 1996-2007. I don't doubt his reputation as a gamewinner is underrated, at least not among MU fans. He was often put on the field just to score the gamewinning goal in the added time, in that role I don't think he is underrated, not amoung the red devil fans nor the opposition. Unfortunately his knee injuries limited him to short matches and being a substitute from 2003. So I guess if you account for his injuries that did limit him he's not that underrated for whole matches, but as a substitute he was world class, likely the best.

Massively underrated given the gravitas of so many of the players he lined up with, but so many defenders have spoken about how Ole was the last person they wanted the ball to drop to in their box. Class act and not even a hint of ego.

Solskjaer is obviously remembered for his goal to win the treble. But he was one of the best players to have around in the squad. Didnt complain being a sub. 4 goals as a sub against Forest. One of the greatest signings ever. An unknown to a legend! He proved its not the big transfer or come from a big nation to play for United.

@@netizenterhormat9768 there is an interview of ole gunnar solskjaer in which he says that he has always analyzed opposition defence and their movement while sitting on the bench. when he got on the pitch he knew exactly how to hurt them. not many football players will do that while on the bench. maybe that is the reason ferguson used him often as a sub, plus fitness (?). Pure Legend Ole

His ability to be at the right spot at the right time was just incredible. He was not particularly strong or fast and he was not an amazing dribbler, but he was such an intelligent footballer, always making the correct runs, always on the alert for a rebound and his finishing ability was just out of this world! Like many Norwegian United supporters Solskjær is a huge reason I started to support the club.
