UPDATE: It's been discovered that some of these glitches were found in a Nintendo Switch emulator. However, I can 100% confirm that they're real, and I've tested them all myself on my own Switch. More info to follow soon, it's pretty crazy. Hey guys! Quick apology for a couple of spelling errors! My keyboard has been lagging so much that sometimes keys don't register and it's a nightmare! @@codysvlogdays I don't know exactly how save corruption works so I can't give a definitive answer, but I believe as long as the OS is providing proper memory protection, a failure like that shouldn't be able to affect other parts of the system. So I'd expect the answer to be that it's safe.

Worst part is that this voice is activated when Sonic goes out of bounds, as a nod to the speedrunning community which makes use of certain glitch routes to go faster. How ironic is it that we can actually hear it when normal players go out of bounds without trying to, it's sad but hilarious.

Finally, someone who's blaming the actual people at fault. Because if you think about it, SEGA was probably the quality control. If they saw the glitch fest that is Colors Ultimate(I still like the game, to be honest), they shouldn't have been like "this totally looks good enough". And they probably rushed the developers(Blind Squirrel Games) to create this remaster. Just like they rushed the developers of Sonic 06 and Rise of Lyric.

Blind Squirrel left gigabytes upon gigabytes of unnecessary data (Such as lighting data, textures, models, and animations) floating around in the game files, as well as literal developer tools. I repeat... THEY LEFT FULLY FUNCTIONING DEVELOPER PROGRAMS IN THE GAME FILES. It's clear that they were dealt a bad hand, And at the end of the day SEGA is absolutely at fault too, maybe, if not probably even more so, but BSG's hands ain't clean.

@Vintage sonic- You know, that's definitely true. Before I bought colors ultimate, I was all hyped as I never played the original game, essentially making it my blind play through. Then I started act 1 of tropical resort and said "Huh. Well, guess sonic isn't as cool as I remember and I wasted my money. Great"

I feel like sonic is a cursed franchise at this point. They weren’t even making a new game and it turns out like this. The fans can’t really catch a break.

I like the way that they said this release was for his new audience, to give them some legacy content. So they clearly WANT to ruin him at this point.

Man... I'm sure that the game will eventually be patched to a more playable state some time in the future, but the damage has already been done to Sonic's reputation at this point. First impressions are lasting impressions, and this remaster is utterly broken on release.

I'm pretty sure that being launched over the wall part was an intentional design choice that was also in the original. I think there's even a red star ring you can collect by running on top of some of those walls. It could be a neat little reference to some of the underground levels from Super Mario Bros.

Ok I'll admit it. It actually makes me cry in the inside from seeing this game not being successful. But thank you TWIP. Thank you for capturing all the glitches so the developers can see. I'd really appreciate that.

I am now firmly convinced SEGA doesn't have any idea what "Quality Insurance" means. They literally gave the green light to a game that can potentially kill someone by simply casually playing it. This is happening right after Lizuka said "we're not gonna rush our games anymore" too.

@@AshkarBehek0 Can’t argue with that. Sonic, in my opinion, is a very inconsistent and polarizing video game series. and that’s always been the main problem in my eyes. Even back in the 1990s, Sonic was inconsistent. It only started to become a problem later on. That doesn’t mean Sonic is dead. I, and many others, still love the little blue guy, and am happy he’s still around and kicking. Any other company would have given up after something like 06 or Boom, but Sonic kept going. As long as Sonic keeps rolling around at the speed of sound.. he will someday find his rainbow. 😌

The fact that the game crashes and further corrupts and deletes save data pisses me off so much. This game is severely broken.

i do appreciate how you're trying to help the devs instead of making a 10 minute rant video for views complaining about how everything is horrible about this game

Even though long load times are usually minor glitches to me, hearing a certain part of a song while sonic is in a very early part of the state feels very cursed

I like how you did a loading screen comparison to Sonic 06.

Clearly this game was built for a high performing console of its generation, the Wii. So demanding that no other console could handle any game from its library. Nintendo feared it and dread the task of porting their games to the Switch.

Oh boy, this will be a rough one Edit: HOLY MOLY IT WAS TOO MUCH, dude this game is fully broken beyond repair, i'm expecting the game to be completely removed until fixed and Blind Squirrel's reputation will be extremely low after this. It's so sad that things went like this, and for it to happen to the remaster of one the best games in my life. Sonic is falling deeper after all this time.

I don't blame blind squirrel with this, they got the tast of rebuilding the game in a new engine with barely of the files since Sega lost them before lost world, fuck knows how they lost them but they did, it only feels rushed because of the state the files where, blind squirrel should of gotten more time, maybe till October or December to give them way more time for this

@@wolfiethefurrygamer1908 True, as far as I'm aware they had to decompile an iso of the game to get the source code and then import that into Godot, a new engine that that source code wasn't even written for. The fact that they had to do that freakish task at all is insane and I can't blame them that it ended up as broken as it did because of that because I can't imagine how that process WOULDN'T break the game. So it's really more Sega's fault for losing or trashing the game's original source code and tools, forcing Blind Squirrel to have to do such a freakish task while still pressuring them to have it out fairly quickly for the 30th anniversary.

@@legoboy7107 and they had a similar problem with the Mass Effect stuff, some DLC source code was missing and couldn't use the Xbox version of the source code so a few bits of DLC is missing from the Mass Effect remasters and that wasn't even biowares or EA's fault, the original source code got currupted, leaving the Xbox version left which they couldn't work with

It’s kinda annoying I got the switch version but i have barely seen any visual bugs yet lol so for me it’s not as bad as other ppl but it would still b nice to see them fix things like the loading times and stuff

@@jcmk3829 Yeah, it kinda shows that Blind Squirrel Games were rushed to create this remaster. Just like how Sonic Team was rushed to create Sonic 06 and how Big Red Button was rushed to create Rise of Lyric. *It's almost like Sega rushing their developers to make games causes the games to be glitchy, WOAAAAAAAAAH-*

@@petergriffinsbrother2499 If you connect the dots with Sonic 06 and Rise of Lyric being glitchy and those two games being rushed by Sega...it's pretty easy to see that Colors Ultimate was rushed.

The Game stuttering seems to happen sometimes on the Epic Games Version too, btw. Not sure why, and if it's just my gaming laptop specifically or it's the game itself.

After seeing this, I don't want an Unleashed Remaster. (I don't blame Blind Squirrel either, it sucks they were forced to rush it.)

To spare potential buyers from getting this game so they will not suffer from glitches that affect their experience, and have to get refund from their purchase. It's gonna happen anyway, so it's best to keep people from buying SCU for now.

Sonic 2006: first time with bugs? Sonic Colors Ultimate: ......maybe?

Despite all these little bugs, I still found the game quite enjoyable. I still hope they're fixed, tho. Especially that one in Starlight Carnival Act 1 that causes Sonic to die when jumping into the big Spaceship.

Oh neat, The segment about the day one patch? I wonder what all they fi- Oh it's over...

Instead of early access, Sega really should've just released a short demo of the first couple levels or so. Looking at these glitches, man it is just depressing honestly. I had _Colors Ultimate_ pre-ordered because I've been very excited to try it out for the first time. I bought into the digital deluxe edition on Switch and thankfully I haven't gotten any game-breaking glitches, aside from audio-related bugs, and so far I've been having a genuinely good time playing it. But the fact that everyone's experiences with this title have just been all over the place is a big deal. Sega, please, the next time you want to allow consumers to try out new releases early, just put out a demo instead and let the developers continue working on the full game. If the game is nearing its intended release and has this many glitches, delay the release for a while. I hope that when more patches come out, _Colors Ultimate_ will be more consistently praised. But for right now, this could be much, much, MUCH better than it is.

Man, this looks rough. I still want to get the game, but I really hope the devs looks into giving this game another patch. For now I'll stick with the wii version

Yeeeaaah me too because I refuse to get a this game for the Nintendo Switch and mess up my Nintendo Switch, that wouldn’t be normal.

Appreciate you taking the time to show this to both potential buyers and the developers. Been playing on PC and it's mostly just the glitches from the PS5 video that I've been getting albeit not at all frequent. I have been eager to play Ultimate and what I've played so far I've enjoyed but even I have to admit this isn't acceptable for a remaster of a critically acclaimed game. Granted this isn't the sort of thing that can be fixed quickly but at the very least it's out there for the Devs to see.

They cant fix some of these without breaking the speedrun and the "I dont think we're supposed to be here" Clip is meant to signify speedrun skips from the wii version
