I’ve always hated the forced Disney Channel drama. Especially when a friend is in a relationship, and they were caught cheating and the friend doesn’t believe it and say “Oh my gosh, you’re jealous. I’m in a relationship and you’re not.”

It's more like the quirky nerd friends being bullied then one of the friends being sick of being bullied and trying to be friends with the popular kids that peer pressure them into doing things they don't want to do, then the main character does a quirky "we used to be friends, but now I don't even know you" moment. Then the friend decided that friendship is more important than popularity.
