Francis worked in a Sand mine since he was a boy and had to escape, wound up homeless in Europe... His story is Epic.
That Stipe fight was crazy man. Stipe got hit with so many powerful shots and still got up through all those shots, then he runs backwards and tags Ngannou with a good shot that made Ngannou move back for just a split second and because of that Stipe got overconfident and moved foward moving into Ngannou shot which hurt him and ended the fight. I always wanted to see a rematch 'cause Stipe adapts really well and Stipe had won the first fight so to not get that trilogy was such a shame.

Brock Lesnar has been wrestling since he was 5 guys.He was a d1 national wrestling champ first before signing with wwe for 4 years. Then moved to ufc at 28 where he won the belt in his 3rd fight,he was dominant until an ilness almost killed him and left him with a hole in his stomach. He was never the same after that,as the fighters were targeting that weak spot in his body.He was every bit about that life, but he never reached his potential

Ngannou started fighting when he was in his late 20s I'm pretty sure. A lot of fighters start training in their 20s.
Great video he’s my favorite fighter ever in MMA and I been watching this sport for over 15 years. Never seen KO Power like NGannou. His crazy reach is what makes it even scarier.
The crazy thing is EVERY SINGLE ONE of his opponents in this video were amazing fighters. Whether not in their primes or not beats in their own rights. Someone needs to make a movie of Francis' life. Amazing story.
To add to ngannou's already impressive knockouts, go back and look at the rozenstruick ko. When ngannou was throwing punches rozenstruick was counterpunching, and was landing clean shots on ngannou's face, but ngannou kept swinging and despite taking hits cleanly moving towards his opponent as they were coming still knocked him out

Hey man it's not too late to start training. I can think of two current UFC fighters who started out really late like mid to late 20s , they never became champion but one of them became a fan favorite and the other challenged for the belt. Lauren Murphy got into mma at 26 after taking her son to a jujitsu class and falling in love with it, she has a record of 16-5 and just fought for the title last year. Matt Brown was 25 with zero athletic experience, had a stint in prison, survived a heroin overdose (which is where he gets his ' Immortal' nickname) and he was high on cocaine and alchohol before he decided to sign up for a short notice mma fight. He's currently 23-19, he's tied for most knockouts in UFC history and holds the record knockouts at welterweight. If a single mom and a former drug addict with no athleticism can find the motivation to make it all the way to the number one mma organization in the world and have successful careers while being older than you are when they started I'm sure you could be successful as well, or at least have a decent shot if you tried
If you like these, you should watch Derrick Lewis too.
