    I know it’s been uploaded for a while, but I’ve been interested in the Tracks and this is the ONLY vid I found that demonstrates setting the bpm/tempo. Thank you so much, I hate no-screen devices that expect you to just turn a knob and get the right tempo, so this just about cements the deal for me.

    Mate, you are making such helpful content on your channel! So valuable to see in depth how the CT works, really helping me out in deciding if it is the right next bit of gear for me, which after watching your vids, I think it just may be! Thanks so much, I'll be back to watch again if/when I actually get one!

    Thank you. This was very helpful. But I don’t understand what the labels underneath the knobs describe. I didn’t see a demo of Amp Envelope for example. Then there’s Oscillator and Oscillator Mod etc What are those about?

  • @isaachorgan

    @isaachorgan

    2 жыл бұрын

    every synth preset will require different parameters to adjust, but novation have put labels as suggestions for preset designers. so each knob will have a different effect on different presets. amp envelope controls the volume over time; on a "pad" sound it might control how slowly the sound fades on over time, or on a bass it might control how short each note is. oscillator and oscillator mod are the two that are always going to be very different - there are countless parameters that the preset designer could assign these to. for example it could change the sound of an oscillator, or the pitch, or the mix between two different oscillators. unfortunately these two will just require some experimentation to figure out. hopefully that makes sense, i should've made it more clear in the video. if the problem is that you don't know some of these synth-related terms, i have another video that might help called "fundamental sound design." thanks for your comment:)

    Can I connect a LAUNCHKEY MK3 25 midi keyboard to the CIRCUIT TRACKS device and use the sounds of the CIRCUIT? and play the keyboard too. If so, what connections are recommended and needed to connect them together?

  • @isaachorgan

    @isaachorgan

    Жыл бұрын

    if the launchkey mk3 25 has a midi-din output, then yes. just plug it into the midi input on circuit tracks. if the keyboard is only usb, you may like to try plugging it into the usb on the circuit tracks. this probably wont work, but i've never tried it so im not sure. be careful with this. the safest option is to get a midi interface that converts usb midi to din midi - loopop has a good video about midi interfaces. i hope this was helpful:)

    A question for the experts. Can I download external sounds to the computer and transfer them to the device? to CIRCUIT TRACKS? If so how can it be done. Another question - can I connect external sounds from a synthetic device or electronic drums directly to the CIRCUIT TRACKS device and save them on the device? Thank you .

  • @isaachorgan

    @isaachorgan

    Жыл бұрын

    hey! 1: yes, you can put samples onto your circuit tracks. use the novation components software, and go to the samples tab. upload your samples into the slots, and send to circuit. then you can use the sounds in the drum 1 - drum 4 tracks. 2: no, there is no way to sample directly into the circuit tracks. you can use the 2 inputs to put live audio into the circuit and then use them in the mixer/fx. however, you cannot sample aka "save sounds" from the inputs. you would have to record sounds in another way and then use a computer to put them into your circuit, as i described above. thanks for the questions!

    Do you have to format an sd card before you put into the tracks

  • @isaachorgan

    @isaachorgan

    Жыл бұрын

    @@LikeCarpenter i don't think so - i definitely didn't. i believe the device formats the sd card on it's own, so be careful to use a new sd card or backup old files
