as a tank main i honestly dont feel like bastion is too bad Mei, Sombra, Sym tho its awful, not even other tanks counter that hard and they should actually change it even Ana's nade or Zens discord is not as bad as getting counter swoped with these DPS

I like tracer vs zarya, as she has really high instant burst and is really hard for zarya to track, she can recall a lot of that dmg she takes, and if Zarya’s low she can burn through the bubble without enough dmg downtime for zarya to get another one before she shreds zarya’s lower health pool and lack of armor

yeah Tracer can work well into Zarya, since she's hitscan she has pretty good control over not feeding into bubbles! the only reason I didn't put her down as a counter is bc Zarya's bubbles are reallllly good at protecting dive targets, which can be annoying as Tracer :')

Echo can be really good into sigma. He denies most of her poke/spam playstyle but when you dive: you can dodge his rock with flight; you have great shield breaking so he can’t protect himself or his squishies for too long; and sig likes to grasp at about 50% which gives you a really easy beam kill.

yeah that's true! you can also just totally fly over whichever angle the Sigma is shielding, so she can be pretty effective on most maps :)

you have time to delete this I dont want people countering my doom every match

@@BaileysOver It feels so satisfying playing around the counters and finding value with Doom as well, it makes it feel like all the time you invest in the character is worth it. Still painful though lol

great video, could you make one talking about how to counter the heroes of each roll

So not only do Mei and Bastion basically counter every Tank, their Ultimates practically sync with each other too. An opposing team's DPS and/or Support would have to be counterpicks.

pretty sure the title's wrong, game's called "Counterwatch 2" since all you actually have to do to win, is counter the enemies :)

In my opinion sigma is pretty good into Junkrat, sigma can out poke him both of his defensive cooldowns can mitigate most of Junkrat spam damage.

good list id say bastion counters hog and zarya really effectively as well

Probably yeah! The only reason I didn't add him for Zarya is that you can often accidentally melt an entire bubble against her. If the Zarya player is good, she'll use that to her advantage!

@@BaileysOver Can definitely agree. Most Bastions dont realize when a good Zarya is in the game, and continue to spray bubbles. Burning through Bubbles and the Zar only works for people who don't know how Zar works, or they see 100 charge and just push into the open.

How could Reaper possibly do anything to Mauga. Was this before the armor change?

I like to use bastion and reaper against zarya too just to melt her bubbles when needed Like if she uses her bubbles in a foolish way making a mistake or some kind Just from my experience tho

for sure! the only reason I'd call this an even matchup is bc Bastion can often accidentally burst bubbles with his insane damage, and a good Zarya can use that to her advantage. definitely not a bad matchup if you're smart about it tho!

As a ball main bastion does not counter ball Mei is a hard counter all ball has to do is wait out turret form and he can disengage and re-engage quickly

I only say Bastion is a counter for the fact that Ball is completely out of action every time he uses his turret form... but that goes for most tanks in this game tbf :')

@@BaileysOver maybe I just never had a issue against him you can dive him he is slow with a big hitbox and you can boop him easily his turret form takes a while to get back I find things that stop or stun your movement way more deadly

“But counter picking doesn’t exist, you’re just bad”. Shouldn’t have to be wayyyyyyy better than everyone just to rank up.

this is the #1 philosophy I disagree with when it comes to Overwatch 2, but that's the meta we live in rn :')

As a Genji main i can confirm that we only counter healing.

I would put soldier in green against Zarya he can easily out range and run her

As a Sigma Main I crush all my counters every single day except sombra

Sym needs to be close to charge her beam. She is just not a counter to sigma, you can rock her and she will try to flee making her an easy lineup with orbs. She tries to charge her beam off your shield, recall it. Her turret bombs are melted with aoe orbs. Her level 3 beam can be annoying during kinetic grasp, but just play cover and highground and she can’t really do anything but out-mobility you with her tp. Echo and mei are more annoying.

How the fuck is Mei a counter to like… all the tanks. Wtf bro.

that's actually a great question! it mainly comes down to her wall. the best Mei players will save wall against most comps to prevent the enemy tank from receiving resources from their team. if you're playing a tank who relies on their team, or who doesn't have any form of vertical mobility, that Mei wall basically acts like a realllly long anti nade :')

Tell me you never hit gm without telling me. Sym counters dva? This doesn’t go into map pool, which makes or breaks tanks.

Mei is just a all rounded character theres nothing she cant do but she doesn't excel at anything dps wise. She can poke but not as good as Ashe. she can brawl but not as good as bastion. She depends on her wall to win

I definitely feel like Sojourn is a GREAT pick into him, but I wanted to red tier to be active shutdown to the hero. Sojourn you kinda farm rail and ignore the Mauga, but Reaper can actually impact Mauga himself in the right moments... especially with Mauga getting nerfed 😎

Well lets just make tanks even less fun to play.

Bastion is soft counter to orisa. SOFT????? He is her best counter as he doesnt care that she cant be crit in fortify as he cant crit in turret making him her best counter

soft counters are still good into the hero! it just means that Orisa has SOME counterplay, especially now that she can poke from narnia without getting into a Bastion's effective range :)
