Yup, reminds me of that one time i rented a copy of Call of Duty II: Big Red One for the GameCube and kept getting stuck at that one airship turret level and that's when the game starts crashing due to the scratches on the disc and i kept getting disappointed and then angry that's when i had my dad return the game and I'm just sad. Big OOF for me.

@@ZLunas I remember Chowder, Flapjack, Zack Saturday, Shnitzel & Swampfire being playable mechs off the top of my head. After looking it up I also forgot but now remember Vilgax, DNALIEN, Kevin, Munya & Big Chill being in it. These are all the other characters Manus, Van Rook, Duncan, Chef, Johnny Test, Finn, Ultimate Humungousaur, Rath, Armodrillo, Ultimate Echo Echo, Ultimate Big Chill, Rex, Agent Six, Bobo, Van Kleiss, ClockWork, Upgrade Rex, Shocksquach. Most of the characters are from Ben10 and Generator Rex & Secret Saturdays also have a fair amount of characters in it. Also I doubt this game is still on the website.

People fondly remember all these old licensed games but their called “shovel ware” for a reason, the vast majority were cheap rushed out garbage with impossible development deadlines that lead to game breaking problems like here, it would be cool to have a game based on newer shows like Voltron or We Bare Bears, but with how expensive game development is it’s just easier to make a mobile app.

The weird thing is that BAM didn't "officially" go bankrupt. They got delisted from the stock market in 2004 and went "dormant". With the general quality of their games and that less-than-helpful response to a game-breaking bug, it doesn't surprise me in the least that they didn't stick around.

Speaking of Mandark's Lab, remember that season 4 episode of Dexter's Laboratory with the three segments focusing on Mandark? That episode has a special version of the intro in which Mandark was the one who plugged in the light display instead of Dee Dee, and the lights were redone to say "Mandark's Laboratory". The game should have just used that intro instead of just crossing the "Dexter" out from the title of the regular intro.

You think with the a show where a Boy Genius makes incredible inventions that it would make for good use of video game content. But these games really missed the mark. Also hearing Dexter's second voice in his early design is kinda uncanny to listen to.

That's Candi Milo, who did Coco in Foster's and Snap in ChalkZone. She also voiced Chuckie for some reason in the Rugrats: Royal Ransom game in replacement of Nancy Cartwright who took over as his main voice after Christine Cavanaugh left (R.I.P.)

I actually prefer Candi Milo's voice for him, but it really should have more of a fine line with Christine Cavanaugh's over the two designs. Much like the ones for other characters with two major designs, like in Sonic the Hedgehog or Super Mario.

Imagine waking up in a spaceship and you see alien Pan ready to probe you and he says "Time to blast off to Uranus! Yeah Yuh!".

Other fun "game patches before patches" shenanigans: Super Paper Mario in Europe had an (easy avoidable, thankfully) bug that would crash the Wii if you talked to a certain character at the wrong time. Nintendo basically just went "I guess we'll send you a copy that fixes this bug if you really care about it." Metroid: Other M had a bug that would cause a certain door to close in and area and leave the player trapped. Nintendo's solution was to literally ask players to mail in an SD card with their save file on it so that they could send it back with the fix applied. (Skyward Sword had a similar bug, which Nintendo fixed with the slightly more sensible option of putting up an app on the Wii Shop that fixed it) Bubble Bobble Revolution had a completely inescapable glitch that would cause the boss in Level 30 to never spawn, leaving the level unbeatable and the game completely impossible. Codemasters, who published in NA, ordered a recall and shipped replacement copies (a process which took them like, ten weeks) though they at least threw in Rainbow Islands as a bonus.

"No I'm happy because I finally found MY LAZER GUN!" God I love 90's-early 2000's cartoons, you couldn't get away with something that dark these days.

Hey Pan, to beat that one chess puzzle, the piece is actually a Queen not a Rook so you move it diagonally in the corner of the board. I guess the programmers had only one solution in mind for these puzzles.

As the child of a man who ran a chess club for our town, the Dexter chess game was one of the games I got for the GBA when I got it for christmas as a kid and jesus christ, hearing the sound clip "And Queen Deedee!!" gave me the strongest goddamn sense of nostalgia whiplash
