Reaper does activate on every dance machine dodge. Only aspects and abilities dont activate on multi dodge. So you could dodge and then activate the arc conductor and dodge multiple times for more orbs.

I got 2 of these swords last week... thought they seemed kinda useless by description, so I never tried them. Like you, I assumed you had to take arc damage for them to activate like the Riskrunner. Glad I threw them into my vault!

fyi, Ascencion + Solar Siphon + Ergo Sum Perfect Fifth + Radiant Dance Machine + Radiant = Infinite Ascension that is affected by Radiant, procs Perfect Fifth, jolts and procs ignitions. Probably a bug, but you should try it

I've used the caster frame version of this too but I still love the wave frame version so much more because that free light attack you get after your heavy attack lets you close the gap on any remaining adds and your arc conductor cleans everything up that survived, and with the artifact mod you're getting all this free ammo back

Excellent ... because I have this with the wave frame already.

In a similar vein, I made an arc hunter build using double swords and Ascension. The Ascension kills count as sword kills for some reason so you can proc things like Strategist to get your Ascension back, Chain Reaction/Incandescent, as well as some of the Ergo Sum perks like Insectoid Grenades, Stormbringer, and even Gathering Light which lets you spam more Ascensions as well when you combine it with Flow State. You just turn into an electric helicopter generating tons of orbs from siphons and you don't even need to swing your sword. I cleared Dual Destiny like this very quickly only using ammo on the bosses and tormentors.

how would you manage to make ascension inherit procs like strategist or incandescent? just hold any weapon with the perk?

@@joyce_rx If you're using gifted conviction and holding a sword whatever kills you get with Ascension trigger those perks. I don't think it's intentional but it works. Chain Reaction and Strategist on False Idols works really well because it refills your class ability and lets you keep spamming it.

On prismatic, use ascension…it does the ergo sum intrinsic abilities without even swinging sword. Works with a few of the ergo versions like robots/lighting strikes ect… combine with dance machines & combination blow for infinite flying

doesnt seem to trigger arc conducter for me when i use ascension while holding ergo sum. Seems i need to use my heavy atttack

I've been using my ergo sum with ark conductor on my warlock. I used it to complete the legendary campaign for final shape along with an ark caster frame temptations hook with Vorpal weapon. I cruised through the legendary campaign with this setup along with osteomancy and stasis freezing everything and chaining ark lightning everywhere. Who made the legendary campaign feel like a cakewalk. Loved it!

Hey great video as always Maven! Ergo Sum also works with the Hunter aspect Ascension. Using Ascension while holding Ergo Sum causes the kills to proc Ergo Sum's exotic perk (Wolf pack, cloud strike lightning, parasite insectoids, etc.) Idk if it's intentional to be this way. With Radiant Dance Machines, dodge near an enemy and then you'll have unlimited Ascension uses as long as you're getting kills.

I have that exact same role but im using it for an ARC warlock build using geomags. I am a walking nuclear bomb and get my super back extremely quickly. It has to be some of the most fun on destiny ive had in awhile.

Finally a video praising the power of Ergo Sum’s (Arc Conductor + Caster Frame)! I was lucky enough to land this in my first drop and I cant put it away.

Literally watching your video this morning while completing an overthrow only to be rewarded with a caster frame Ergo with Arc Conductor. Only if I could luckily like this for the class item perks I want.

Been using this Ergo Sum on Verity a lot since I got it. Keeps me clean while i'm doing the mechanics, especially in the solo rooms.

I used the arc conductor vortex frame and it was awesome as well .... I was surprised how good arc conductor is on these swords!!

I'll just use strand titan, stronghold, banner, into the fray, thread of warding, thread of wisdom, thread of transmutation, thread of generation with shackle grenade if i want to use ergo sum

I haven't gotten the arc conductor one yet but ive been running double sword on strand titan and its been fun. This artifact is amazing for sword play

My first ergo was this on caster frame. Been having a ball with it ever since

got that roll on my second ergo that dropped I'll have to give this a try

I use this on my Getaway Artist warlock. the stasis turrets freeze everything and its effortless to clean it all up with this version of Ergo Sum. Wave Frames let you get a light attack in for free after the heavy attack.

I've been using this exact weapon setup on my warlock but I've been using edge transit. Nearly have 8k kills on my sword already caster frame is deffinately the way to go!

I got a 50 with this build last night and I think it works on expert onslaughts pretty well. You can basically do whatever you want up until around wave 40. As long as somebody stayed close to and protected the ADU you can run into most spawns and survive. Even in the boss rooms I could just run around and do whatever. The only thing I noticed is in situations where you're not invisible or in devour it can be rough in the last 10 or so waves. The lack of damage resistance armor mods made it even tougher. Best advice I could give would be to back off and go to your gun when you can't get the dance machines going. Also I tried it in the GM hydra strike and it worked fine. If anything it was a carry on my part because the people I took from fire team finder died a lot...

I just got the Caster Frame version of this. Pissed me off. Gonna keep grinding for the Wave Frame.

I have this roll on my Ergo and the build is a lot of fun. That said, Mavens Triton Vice Arc glaive build is the most fun you can have on Hunter; and now it's even better since Tritons recent buff!

I've always been a big sword user in the game and since the buff Castor Frames have shot straight to the top of my favorite Sword variant to use. I main banner Titan so im always looking for that proc and Castors are perfect for it Lately I've been using a double castor set up with my beloved 4/4 god-roll Dragoncult Sickle (Chain-Reaction/Slice/Balanced Guard/Hungry Edge) paired with Arc Conductor Ergo Sum. Such a fun set-up and I never die, like barely ever (Stoicism Titan mark with Spirit of the Scars helps with that).

I'm using the aggressive frame instead with the power slam. Now, that's nasty! 😊

"Broken" and "infinite" are like my least favorite words to hear in a D2 build video.

Caster arc conductor was my first roll and I was disappointed as first. They way everything just kinda died around me was really wild

Caster 5/5 thou the waveframe is for faster burst CQC clearing. The caster allows you to project out to very distant targets. So get both? But I often find the need to hit distant targets and the upclose arc works just fine as long as you take other actions.

I have aggressive and its pretty okay except against flying bosses and such. I use it with mask of bakris and its pretty good with an infinite dodges on prismatic for freezing decoy dodges.

I have over 15,000 kills on my arc conductor sword lol, nobody listened to me when I told them it was God tier. Now they're all listening!

Arc conductor ergo sum is soo fun😩😩😩

I love ergo sum. The only rolls I am not loving are gathering light, storm bringer, and sacred flame. The colony, telesto, ghorn, polaris, and arc conductor ones are super fun and I have come to realize caster or wave frames are the best frames for pretty much every ergo sum. I am SOOOO happy caster frames have been getting love. I have been a big fan of them since sola scar. I never really sued them but I always thought they had potential and then bungie forgot about them. I have only made like 10 posts on the bungie forums. I only do that when I feel like something is important and I made a post about a year ago talking about caster frames and how I would love to see more of them. Little did I know we would get multiple new caster frames, some decent buffs, a ritual caster frame, and ergo sum. How many seasons was it until we got a new caster frame? 10 seasons... Anyways something people slept on last season was dragon sickle with unravel. This combo was an add clear machine. There is one other thing I want them to play with and that is sword shields. I think a reflect shield would be really cool. It can have a short guard time of like 3 seconds or something but have it reflect incoming projectiles like the hive relic sword does or arc staff.

I believe Reaper does work on RDM dodges, you just got to bypass the cooldown by using multiple reaper mods. 1 mod is a 10s cooldown, 2 mods is a 5s cooldown and 3 mods is a 1s cooldown.

So apparently that aspect can also proc Heavy sword perks like Cold Steel. Havent gotten around to try anything fun yet but sounds like there coule be some fun Hunter Helicopter builds to do, assuming this isnt an unintended bug and gets fixed by Bungie because we’re never allowed to have fun :[ lol Edit: Didnt even realize this wasnt to do witb Ascension. Its the only reason to showcase RDM here.

Great video but you forgot to talk about the artifact, you can get infinite special ammo from rapid sword kills with the artifact which procs off the arc conductor

I run x3 reaper mods w/ RDM to make the reaper cooldown 1 sec making the build an orb farming machine everytime i dodge (I have play tested it and yes x3 reaper creates orbs every dodge from arc conductor kills w/ RDM)

I’m have the caster but this waveframe one looks more fun

Hey maven, you don't need to land a hit to activate arc conductor, also if you have the wave frame you should use the follow up heavy charge attack, it doesn't consume extra ammo.

btw maven if you attack after the wave you get a free lunging light attack that costs no ammo

i'm a titan main but this build sounds fun as hell. the ergo i've been using is a vortex frame with unplanned reprieve. it's more of a burst dps option than your build though

I used it in onslaught got more kills than the other 2 together.

Been playing with this since I first got it(first one). This thing is broken. Getaway prismatic with hellion and bleakwatcher. Blade stamina makes infinite ammo even without cata with 6 red bar kills.

What’s the best 2 legendary weapon to go with this? Can this handle 2005+ nightfall?

Can you make some lists of builds that don’t need any sort of expansion pack??

What was the reason for Radiant Machines ? I didn't see multi dodge being used much. If we just need 1 or 2 quick dodges, frostees/6th coyote would be good enough 🤔

Rhe reason in the video is just more so because it gives you leniency in when to use Ascension. But I mean your lowest cd is 28/29 seconds. If you don't use Ascension or your class ability every 28/29 seconds then theres no point in RDM, more so when you also have class regen mods. Only reason to use RDM is to spam it like a helicopter.

Have any titan ideas? Right now im using this tHing cal ramparts with fire hammers and this cool cerberlus gun after a while i can kill some adds

I was using this with stronghold on my Titan, but I gotta try this on my Hunter.

Oh yeah it could be insane on strongholds too. It would just be a tiny bit tougher to maintain infinite ammo, but still consistent enough. I might try that sometime.

@@MavenPhoenixif you build into transcendence and ergo sum with special finisher still in the mix you basically have full uptime of ability spam and the ammo back on grenade damage during transcendence with a 51% damage bonus the whole time. I run shackle grenade and drengers lash thruster. Suspend and consecration or just wave frame clear and your meter goes up mega fast. Then do ergo wave frame heavy uptime and consecration spam. All with strongholds or abeyant leap for the woven mail uptime and then run stasis titan for ice shards DR stacking up with woven mail.

How does farming Overthrow work? I get an Ergo on the first clear than nothing on the second clear. Is it RNG or can it only be dropped once per day/character etc?

I have about 20 of these swords and haven't used one. I'm really feeling weapon fatigue in this game now.

I got this sword. But sometimes the heavy doesn’t do the attack, he just wifs. Doesn’t seem to be related to my charge either.
