I can probably relate to Natsumi minus the mother attempted to take her life. Seriously, toxic family relationships could actually permanently the child or even their genetics too if it’s worst to that point. What Natsumi’s mother did is truly unacceptable and despicable. The worst part is that since her mother remained as a frog, it is highly likely she became herself again shortly Natsumi left. So even after the series ended, there’s still a possibility Natsumi could encounter her mother again and things wouldn’t end well there. But since the former spirits and Shido is with her, her mother wouldn’t even have a chance to lay a finger on her if that’s the case. Honestly Natsumi deserved so much better and I feel pity for her. She really does not deserve to be treated like this. Had Mio didn’t offer Natsumi the spiritual powers, Natsumi would almost certainly be dead by now.

Man, Mio and Shinji's backstory will be depressing... Can't wait for the teddy bear scene... And now that the ending has released, it just made it more sad especially since the lyrics are Mio's feelings and we literally see Shinji in the ending.... Hoped they get a happy scene at least in the anime in the end...

Great video, love your content!! Regarding Mio's choice of Yoshino for a Sephira Crystal holder (and other spiritis to some extent), I believe there is a trend. Most of the girls chosen (excluding Kurumi I guess) were on the verge of dying or committing suicide. I guess Mio also wanted to give them a second chance in life, while also having perfect perfect guinea pigs to purify the Qlifa crystal. I think this was also the modus operandi for all the girls found in the Date a Bullet novel while Mio was purifying all the Qlifa.

ah its been a while since i read vol 21-22 so i had forgotten a good ammount of the backstories but i remember enjoying Yoshino's most cause hers could easily fit into Jun Maeda Key work lol also excited for S5 this wed

I admit every spirit were well written in Date A Live. My favourite definitely has to be Kurumi since day one like you 414 anime, I think the series really went to its peak during Volume 16 and onwards. I think Date A Live was perfectly written from beginning to end.

In this world there are some people who should be parents who aren't and there are people who are parents that should never have been parents Natsumi is one of those people that got unlucky On the parent scale as no parent should be that horrible to a child heck if I was the father I would have just taken her away to an orphanage if I wanted to keep that scandal because an orphanage seems a lot better than what she got like I would have rather her have been an orphan then what that poor girl had to go through no child should be going through that not one

Kurumi backstory is really sad. She was actually tricked into becoming a spirit and she was also tricked into killing her best friend in the movie data a bullet and she swore that she would get vengeance against the spirit who tricked her into killing her friend a friend ended up becoming a bad guy that she had to stop because she didn't know at the time so her friend ended up becoming like the big bad boss at the end of the movie. Perhaps she had to fight again which is sad because then she had to kill her friend all over again

For a harem anime it can get pretty depressing.

Season 5 is alraedy out and cant wait for epsiode 3 because its sounds interesting!

I know the reason why Mio gave Yoshino sephra crystal but i think its probability reason that she understood the suffering of Yoshino when she lost someone so important to her in a very young age as she (Mio) also felt the same when she lost shinji so decide to give her sephra crystal as to for her's (Mio) benifit of testing out the purified sephra crystal had what reaction to her body and what powers it gave so that she (Mio) could develop sephra crystals with different abilities and powers and specs and while at that she also decided to cure her illness so she could live but to less of her knowledge Yoshino suffered from ventriloquism and brought rain with her when she arrived in world .

Can't wait for Mio Takamiya.

Great video by the way and perfectly well explained for Shidou and each Spirit👍 Here's a like and a Sub :) I love Date A Live, beginning to end. Anime watchers should really read the Light Novel because there's things the anime didn't show. I'm happy to see Date A Live the anime is finishing up. Season 5 I believe will end on Volume 20 meaning the cliff hanger in animation form💜😥 And if it will be what I think it will be, I hope its done very powerful and strongly as the Light Novel did in words. There's so many moments I can't wait to see in animation form for this Season of Date A Live V.

Man I feel so conflicted with s5, like it’s the end of the series (excluding the epilogue beast arc, tho it might do it as 2 episode arc) and while it was some of my favourite LN chapters, the anime adaptation so far feels unsatisfying narratively as they cut out so much of the actual lore, it wasn’t until s4 they actually started focusing more on the lore but even then there was info missing or changed. That alongside the ending of LN also kinda felt unsatisfying because spoiler: unironically what Tenka did to try and save Tohka was what “killed” her (until the beast arc), as if Tenka didn’t interfere, Shido would’ve inherited Mio’s sephira and became the next spirit of origin

@@etam8099 There is date a live encore. Which are short story compilations. Mostly Short stories from the Dragon Magazin with usually one exclusive new story. Though its unsure if there gonna be an encore 12. November had spirit trip, march was nia repair and the july issue might have some mio stuff. Kurumi detective was also mostly published there. Just getting incredible unlikely that stuff like beast is getting resolved. encore 11 (post main story) had a beast story

I only came here to see anime onlies reactions towards the Spirits true identity and their back story and I gotta say, I love what I'm seeing in the comments, especially about Yoshino and Natsumi. I hope Tohka haters now understand why she's how she is.

As much as I like seeing anime watchers reactions towards Date A Live though, you should honestly keep all this to yourself because its only right to let them experience what us Light Novel readers experience first hand. Instead just do videos of where the anime is at, spoiling what they're foreshadowing right in front of their eyes. However, its fine to say spoilers when people want to know about something because they themselves auto know. But on th other side of this coin, its those people job to not watch this because as you said and put on 0:43 You have told everyone a warning so its their fault too for watching this video. I'm just pointing out to avoid people from complaining but in the end, its as it always is "No one is ever going to not complain" Someone will always complain about something. Its really hard to make everyone happy even when you warn them or not, its always the same thing.

And of course, Mio=Riana, who is also so sweet and kind, never sleeping, that Teddy Bear...calling him Shin (which didn't get at first till I read the LNs). And none of the awful things Mio did would have ever happened had it not have been for Wescott. It will be interesting to see if the anime goes with a diff end than the LN. I don't actually like the LN ending. Tohka has always been my least fav of all the Spirits. And, I guess I like the happy Harem aspect, even as the awfulness S5 brings will make it more interesting. So, I'm not sold I'll watch this season having read the ending. Think I'll be happy with the anime reality before the season 4 finale

What do you expect from people now days. I myself will only say spoilers when people want to know about something. I keep it to myself so the anime onlies experience what I experienced from the Light Novel. Its wrong to just take that away from the anime watchers. I wish this video was made after Date A Live finishes. Instead these videos should be focused on where the anime is at.

I'm gonna say Nia was probably cheated on and the cheating that lasted for a long time There's a lot of light Context Clues -Rasiel itself being able to not only observe, keep and reveal secrets, considering it is based on role of the Angel -Her distrust in People & disregarding their feelings (She even used Rasiel to look at the dark side of humanity) -Looking up to Fictional Characters instead of anyone else

I wanted to ask you: Do you think the battle Kurumi vs Kotori in episode 9 was plot armor? Because Kurumi couldve escaped into the shadows, rewound time, or just literally dodge Kotoris Megiddo. Also something interesting is that in DAB, Kurumis clone protected her for a short moment when Queen used her sagittarius sword on her. The fact that she survived that, but got seriously hit by Kotori is completely mindboggling to me.

Kurumi is the best for me tho
