I still don't get how this game has a lot more characters than Driven to win. Video game wise, this game is better than Driven to win, but nothing beats the open world original game.

I think it's because if they added Lewis, they would have to get Lewis himself to dub the voicelines, and they would have to pay him, And Avalanche probably wouldn't be able to pay (Also, An unfinished model of Lewis exists in the PC version, this proves that Lewis would be in the game, but they cut)

For me it is still the best cars game,although the first game is very close to it,it is a shame that Driven To Win was much inferior to this one,having less content,a small roster,missing characters like Luigi,Fillmore,Sarge,Carl Wheaters and Sterling,few game modes,eliminating some Cars 2 modes like Hunter and Survival,the lack of a garage to see the characters and their descriptions,I am also disappointed that they didn't release DLC like this game did.And an online multiplayer mode would have also been great,imagine how chaotic and fun that would be.That's if the game is not bad,I liked some things like being able to customize the lights,the color of the turbo and the horn,as well as the new game modes like Stunt Showcase and Time Trial,and the open world of Thomasville,although it is very small,it can be fun for a while especially in multiplayer

Good lord. I had no idea I was missing so many characters. I thought I had them all, but it turns out I only unlocked up to Gunner Acer. Was there a whole other page of character unlocks that I never noticed, or is this one of those things where certain characters are only on certain platforms? I have the Wii version, if that helps any.

yeah you may have been missing some achievement reward cars but from like, rod torque redline i think, the cars are DLC paid cars on playstation and xbox, the wii version doesn’t have the DLC cars

there is not because they were not added. i don’t know why, maybe because of vehicle licensing, lewis is a McLaren design car and the game producers would have to pay mclaren for a license to use their car model in game

they’re DLC cars that you need to pay for in the ‘garage’ section of your game. they only appear if your console is in specific regions; i can say that if you change your consoles region to united kingdom after resetting your console it may be available for purchase

I got the game just to do that even tho its really based on mater being a spy and all that but, its also sad that you dont see all 11 grand prix race cars that you have in the actually movie. yes you need to change your console region to United Kingdom, then the DLC should appear available when you’re connected to xbox live, that’s how it worked for me

it’s ported to PC on ‘Steam’ under the name ‘Cars 2: The Video Game’ i think, but the graphics are much worse than the xbox and playstation versions

yeah that’s rip clutchgoneski. since lewis was a mclaren model, disney would need a license to use a mclaren in their game from mclaren and that would be expensive so they didn’t. im assuming it’s the same with rip as a formula 6000/indycar model
