My 21 yo grandson was recently brutally murdered (by Austin, TX police); the most devastating and traumatic life event ever. This song doesn't ease the pain but it comforts me. First time I heard my son play it when the death was still too fresh I wondered how in the world can he listen to that; saddest song I'd ever heard. Couldn't ask him to turn it off bc didn't know what it meant to him. I turned away staring out the window tears flowing like a stream, and suffered in silence. Can't believe how comforting it is now.

I agree. In 2 years, my Godmother & Godfather died, my aunty, 2 of my friends of Cancer, & my cousin killed himself 6 months after his son killed himself. Came out of an abusive relationship & then my best friends battling cancer, my daughter has an eating disorder & my sister has terminal cancer. I’m always crying when I play this song but I remember the words-One day I’ll see your face again! 💝💝💝🙏
