Crikey, how gash were Liverpool in that home derby? Imagine what Klopp would be like if they defended like that now. The only thing I miss about 90s Everton - beating the shite on a regular basis..... and Kanchelskis.

How did they always manage to be so good against Liverpool when they were at the wrong end of the table? Then again why can't us Gooners beat you on your home turf nowadays? Who knows

@tamhaswoods9056 That's what I thought last season tbf but your victory seemed to come out of nowhere. In fairness we weren't anywhere near our best so I don't think it was a luck thing.

@@hakc97again Just the relegation we should have got twice in the past 2 years. Only I have more hope of a rebound with 777 than Moshiri. Their sugar daddy's assets aren't frozen, as Moshiri's (really Usmanov's) have been since the invasion. Also the stadium's covered by MSP. So it's just about taking the 'R' and then rebuilding as best possible. Too many shirkers, geriatrics and sicknotes to stay up this time.

Beagrie was waste of space really. Deffo a weak link.

Player's agents were unheard of at the time of Peter Beagrie's move to Everton. It had been widely reported in national newspapers that all the then leading clubs wanted to Stoke winger. This prompted Everton to jump in for the player at huge cost. Back then many premier league squad payers could have done a better job without shelling out for Peter Beagrie, who flopped at Everton. It was always hard to believe the superb Trevor Steven was on the wing for the Blues six years earlier
