David you are a saint. My friend told me about your videos and I am thankful. Keep doing what you are doing knowing that it helps people everyday.
I'm a beginner with Evernote - these videos are most helpful. I will be directing my students here once I gt a leading edge so I can introduce them to Evernote...Thanks for the videos David!
David you are my tech guru!!!!! I'm a retired school counselor thanks to you transformed into a tech nerd & love it. Always look fed to viewing another one of your videos. Thank you!!!!!!!
I purchased a ScanSnap - and if you are someone who has lots of paperwork and files (and duplicate files) - this is an awesome investment and integrates with Evernote and the program you have mentioned, Hazel. It will go through a stack of two-side paper, error free, before you can get the next batch ready. And you store in Evernote, using Hazel. I had never really used Evernote until I got the ScanSnap. Paper-free office is the way to go! Your classes are great!
This was my first time seeing one of your classes. I found it trying to learn about Evernote. It was clear, concise and fantastic. Thank you very much.
This guy is so awesome! his channel is now my favourite youtube subscription, he is extraordinary, talented, selfless and full of ideas. Cheers mate
I have been getting so much more out of my computer and several of the programs on it since I found your channel. I am addicted to your videos. Please keep them coming.
Brilliant! Well done David - you have demystified this tool for me and I can't wait to get started! Best wishes, Shirley, Woking, Surrey UK
The thing that sold me on Evernote was its impact on my genealogical research. I have a lot of correspondence via email with other researchers and I've been saving it in separate folders in my inbox. It is difficult to search, though, except via subject or date. Evernote gives you an email address to which you can forward any email. At that address it is converted to an Evernote and becomes fully word searchable, a feature that really helps looking for information you got several years ago! That feature, alone, makes it worthwhile to me. While Evernote basic is free, there are two other levels. Premium, which, is the one most reviewers talk about only adds faster OCR on the server. I opted for the second level which only costs $25 per year but allows an unlimited number of email conversions.
David, thank you so much for your classes! You are an amazing instructor and my "go to" expert for anything Mac. Thank you for being honest and highly informed. I can always count on you to help me maximize utilization of all of my tech tools!
Wow! I can now use Evernote thanks to you! Step by step easy to follow instructions and the ability to stop video as I tackle the instructions on my own computer is fantastic. This morning I was able to apply what I learned on my own. I so appreciate you guys! Thank you!
Thank you so much. Your classes are always the best I have found - - and not to gush, but you are a lifesaver! Thanks again!
David Thank you for your class. I like the way you teach. Learned a few new things although I have been using Evernote for sometime on and off.
I now know the basics of Evernote!!!! Thanks again David!!!!
And Subscribed! Been a Mac for about four years and from your videos I learned more in three days then i have in awhile. Great videos without making them to complicated.

I never thought that evernote would be so useful. thanks for sharing your class!
You are truly first-class! Thank you for your amazing tutorials!
Thank you so much for your videos. I have learned how to use google drive, Mac, password, and Evernote thanks to your easy to understand and follow videos!
Hey David, thanks for being so detailed and simplifying information. I watched both One Note and Evernote and I agree with you. I think I prefer Evernote; the interface seems friendlier (both computer and mobile device apps), and I like the versatility of what you can do as well as. Thanks again for sharing.
You are pretty much my most helpful KZread channel subscription!!!
Just a reminder. Evernote is removing the email to evernote feature from the basic(free) accounts. One really cool feature not too many users know is the integration with the Evernote Food app. It creates a very cool looking recipe book of all your recipes in evernote.
Thank you so much David for that excellent tutorial. God bless you.
Your very well spoken and easy to follow - appreciate that. I'll be back for many more tutorials..."subscribed" and thanks!
I love how you make it so easy to understand. Thanks. New subscriber
Excellent! Thank you for a great explanation. I'm thinking Evernote for me.
Great video David.

Quite helpful my friend, I'm definitely starting to use this app and of course subscribing to your channel
Very useful overview. Clear and concise
Excellent. Best tutorial I've seen so far.
Thanks David, very helpful!
This app is the one and only truly functional, simple, smart and beautiful app for business!!!!
Jim, I can't reply to you directly due to your settings. I know for sure we covered that in one of the live classes this week. I'll check to see on this one if we did or not. If not, we will add a note to the description. Thanks!
Best tutorial so far =D Thanks a lot!!!
Thank you for the information! very helpful!
Thank you, David.
Thank you, this was very informative
This was really helpful; thanks!
I love Microsoft OneNote. It is amazing.
thank you David
I would definitely like to see a class or overview of the new iOS OS X notes app... I know it isn't as feature filled as evernote nut it seems to be worth wild for many
Thanks David.
Very nice, thanks man.
The Windows version doesn't seem to be able to display the notebooks visually. I watched this video and was all set to start using evernote, downloaded the app made an account and then was very disappointed on the PC interface. Where is the visual display of all your notebooks like David talks about in the video. I understand different design teams, but they should be at least SIMILAR!?!
Helpful! Thanks!
good stuff, many thanks
Great Class! I watched the Onenote class, and so far I think Evernote has it over Onenote. Onenote is a very obvious take off by Microsoft on Evernote, only Microsofting it to look like Word, Excel and so on. Nothing wrong with Onenote, but it is missing some great features that Evernote has. Going to try them both out, and I'll let you know!
Cheers david thanks !!
Sencillo y claro. Para iniciarse
My ever notes do not show up like yours. Mine are listed rather than what you have with a layout of different folders. How can I change this?
Helpful information
Thanks for making this! Is Evernote "lighter" or otherwise less demanding on the hardware/processor than OneNote? (less bloated, faster to load, etc.)
When highlighting the text in the preferences I would suggest no to darken the area aroud the mouse but since you use screenflow you can just drag a box around the text you want to schon an create a little zoom this makes it better to read :)
Very helpful.
Monumental concept
Great video. I stumbled on it while looking for apps that help attendees manage conferences. do you have any suggestions? Our company goes to about 6 a year with 3-5 of us attending and I have to plan everything from the booth to the drinks afterwords.
Thanks for another great video. Be advised, however, about e-mailing. According to Evernote, "After July 6, 2015, saving email into Evernote becomes a paid feature. Evernote Basic subscribers can try this feature by saving up to five emails into Evernote before upgrading to Evernote Plus or Premium. How does this affect existing Basic subscribers who already save emails into Evernote? After July 6, 2015, you can continue saving up to five more emails into Evernote. After you send your fifth email, you won't be able to save any additional emails into Evernote until you've upgraded to Evernote Plus or Premium.
great tutorial. Did you noticed that Tags you typed did not appear after you manually synch?. from Caracas Venezuela
evernote is basically a very simplified word processor that accommodate attachments, that you can save your work in the cloud. I can see them charging for large cloud storage, for people who like large video attachments on demand. Other than that; what are they selling, Hype, Popularity? I guess they are going for a money grab, cause the door is closing on them. What evernote had going for them at one point in time was, simplicity, cloud storage, and cross platform capability; you can get that from anywhere now. Well, if you have any word processor like office or libreoffice (free) or google doc(free), take your notes, make you attachments, save your url s and or screen shot web site, make a template, and save to onedrive or googledrive or dropbox, share files if you like, and your done. Don't need tags, just have a naming system for your saved files, just like you did for your tags and or organize by folders. all these little separate app are charging a subscription, are trying to do what Onenote and outlook can do already.

Agree, onenote is better. Evernote is too simple and doesn't do the job for me.
If you want to send an email to a specific Notebook then Add @[notebook] to send it to a specific notebook... simple. Also Add #[tag] to organize the note with a tag
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. Maybe I didn't hear it, but I watched it twice and didn't see how you transfer a document from the default folder into the correct folder. I'm a little slow, but I tried it without success. Can you help? Thanks
Does anyone know if both users need to be on "premium"to share notes , or just one and choose who to share with. Thanks. MIke

I can download the main part but in no way can I figure out how to get the web clipper. Ive tried so many times and I just cant make it work. Im using Internet Explorer on a Toshiba laptop. how to dictate on windows 7?
What is it with you and Recipes..😀
Preferences is purely a MAC thing. I am afraid this is the 3rd thing you have pointed out that is singular to mac's. Are all your tutorials done out of Mac?
One big huge question: What happens to my notes when I stop paying or something happens to the company?

+TheBuggyProject that's what my concern too. I hope I could have a local copy. and their web is a backup.
@scoobyraj2732

+TheBuggyProject If you stop paying the service, everything remains the same, only problem being is that you wont be able to create or upload new files until you buy more storage or free up some space by deleting or editing files. If the company closes the service then you get around a month to transfer the data to different online services as backup, if you are a free user, or around 3 months if you had paid for the services, because after the expiration of the due date then everything gets deleted and the files you had saved will be gone forever and you can goodbye to them, since the service has been shut down, even if it comes back after some time it is highly unlikely that it will retain all the past data and will in all likelihood start on a new page as a new service.
@scoobyraj2732

+Martin Crowe This is a common pratice followed by all the freemium storage services in the world. It is just like in online storage services Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, One Drive etc where once you completed your storage limit your data will continue to be accessible. You'll be able to view and share files but you won't be able to upload files until you buy more storage or free up space by deleting files, especially if are a free user.
nice app
I really wanted to love Evernote but I find there is so much going on its so confusing. So I'll stick with Google Keep.

That's totally cool. The goal is really to find a tool that works for you and it sounds like you have. Thanks for letting us know!
why does my evernote interface looks different from yours ? I am just logging into evernote.com and I see a left pane with 7 different icons like New Note , search, Work Chat etc... No corelation between ur video and the evernote... is it an old version or something ??
I am 80 years old. I have a large family. I have a need to remember "things to do", "times, i.e. birthdays, family events etc.", "shopping lists" etc. There is a simple app, "NotePad" program, that I would like to use, but I don't think it has features that allows me to cut and paste and other simple transfers. The Question is: What are the simple note taking apps available for the simple minded elderly needs?
@jerrycase520
8 жыл бұрын
+HumakoGoak I'm not exactly sure what you mean by 'cut and paste' but I have edited my notes using standard word processing techniques without any problem. The only strangeness I've run into is that when you want to delete a note, you pick the option which says 'Move note to Trash'. You might explain a bit more what, exactly, you want to do.
Hi, Just downloaded evernote Basic and cannot see any of the features you talked about

A resource recommended by Apple customer service line. One to One.
Finally, can I search for multiple keywords such as "mayoral election results", " Albany, New York", "2012 election" and find that information?

I also wasted ½ hour searching for the same thing. Apparently there is an app you can download, which is what is being demonstrated in the video: evernote.com/evernote/ Hope this helps others as it was left out in the video instructions, only a "Ta-Da" and it magically appeared.
