Everly Brothers- "All I Have To Do Is Dream/Cathy's Clown" 1960 (Reelin' In The Years Archives)

Музыка

This beautiful clip of the Everly Brothers was filmed on their UK tour in 1960 with Buddy Holly's Crickets as the backup band, less than a year and half after the plane crash that took Holly's life. The Reelin' In The Years library contains hours of iconic performances from many of the great artists of the 50s, including Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Gene Vincent, the Platters, the Big Bopper and many more.
Reelin' In The Years Productions houses the world's largest library of music footage, containing over 20,000 hours of material covering nearly every genre from the last 60 years. We have live concerts, TV appearances, interviews, in-studio segments, b-roll and more. In addition to music we have thousands of hours of interviews with the most recognizable celebrities, comedians, politicians, athletes, artists and authors of the 20th Century. If you need footage for your film, documentary, TV show, commercial, museum exhibit or presentation, we are your one-stop shop. Visit our online database at www.reelinintheyears.com to explore our archive, but please email us as we are constantly adding new material to the archive. We do not supply material to fans or collectors under any circumstance, so please do not contact us if that is your intention.

just think; before the late 19th century no human voice could be heard without the singer actually being physically in the presence of the listener and once someone died their voice was gone forever. We perceive the world in such a different way than all humans who came before modern times did.

I’m 16 and I remember when I was 10, my grandmother was dying from liver cancer and my uncle was playing this song on his ukulele singing the lyrics too. I was in the foster care for 2 years going to 100 houses a day it felt. (This was when I was 4) she got me out and took care of me with my aunt. I pretty much grew up with knowing that they Truely loved me. My grandmother was the most badass person I’ve ever met. The sweetest too. She passed away in the house I’m living in today. My aunt takes care of me and I see her as a mother now. None the less.. thank you abuela, I hope you Rest In Peace

The Everly Brothers take me back to grade school and the present. I listened to The Everly Brothers as a kid in the sixties, I worshiped their harmonies and sang them religiously. My best friend from those days David Smith reached out after 50+ years & said, till this day he remembers coming over to my house and we'd sing this song. He said when ever he heard it he thought of those days & it will never leave his mind or mine for that matter and we'll never forget The Times we spent singing The Everly Brothers songs, Cathy's clown was Our most memorable, we sung it from the top of our lungs he reminds me, we were around 7 & 8 years old. I'm 63 now. They bonded us for life. thank you Don & Phil

Everthing from these guys to the Beach Boys and British bands. My husband met the B Boys at the beach and they invited him to a party. He had no idea who they were still they played some songs.
