Just thought you should know that powerMTS welder you bought does not do aluminum on GTAW (tig). It will do aluminum GMAW (mig) with an optional spool gun but MTS units are typically DC only welders and I believe that unit is DC only as well in order to do good looking GTAW welds you want to have an AC GTAW (tig) welder, you can technically GTAW (tig) weld aluminum with DC but it does not look near as good it takes more skill and you have less controll of the puddle.

Thanks for the info Evan! helps alot! I'll see what I can do with the DC tig. if its too squirmish I'll do some mig. thanks again!

Yes these are DC current output. Should be interesting to see the results of PULSED Spool Gun on Aluminum. CV voltage for MIG and CC for TIG & Stick.

Claudio Reyes it's a great welder super easy to use and quick to learn processes. I would say if you want to ever weld aluminum get a different one. great for steel . I recommend it.

Nicely done video. stay after it and you will be as good a welder as YOU make it. Welding is more of a science so you learn the basics and go from there. Nice machine it appears to be. Please let us know how you like it and what issues you may have with it.

Not gonna be tigging aluminum with her, spool gun yes, tig no. you can dcen aluminum with helium but that's not what ur gonna want

Yes. helium is the deal breaker. Price tha tstuff ! $$$$
