As someone who actually knows about music and has made mashups, these comments are making me facepalm so hard. It’s not like the creator pitch shifted BP’s voices as a stylistic choice, it had to be done because the songs are in entirely different keys. You can’t put songs together that are in different keys an expect it to sound good, especially if they’re that far apart... that’s why BP’s voices were pitch shifted. It was either that, or pitching Everglow’s voices down. SMXS did an amazing job on this mashup, so stop shitting on their work just because you’re uneducated about how keys and chords work!

The bpm of ktl and adios is very similar but that doesn't mean they copied, it just has the same tempo. People have been making instrumentals and some say that the 2nd rap with Jennie and Lisa has the same sample in the adios raps. I randomly checked on this video and was surprised it was blowing up! Thank you very much! I've read a lot of your comments, and I wanted to further explain my side regarding the vocals! So, why are BP's singing vocals too pitched up? They sound like "aliens" First of all, I'm sorry but actually, I personally think that too lol! But I tried to preserve them in a way that would sound "tolerable." As I've explained, Kill This Love, though shares similarities with Adios in terms of the beat, is very different melodically. They are eight steps apart, meaning one should either be pitched down or up eight steps. I never meet (or pitch up/down) two songs in the middle because it would bring down the crispness of both the acapella and instrumental, hence I never did that on any mash-up I've recently done. I also believe that both songs should be in the same key to "maximize" how they could work together. My number one priority is to always leave the instrumentals as crisp as possible as it is very crucial in making something sound "full" and less messy. In this mash-up's case, I decided to pitch BP's vocals because if I decided to pitch down Adios, it would mean I would have to lower the quality of the instrumental as well (and it would sound quite messy,) and as much as possible, I would love to showcase Adios' arrangement because that was what I liked most about the song. Just a side note as well that I left the rap parts unpitched cause it sounded "tolerable", but if I was being too "strict", I would have pitched them a bit as well cause they're also not really at the same key at times. But personally, I liked the outcome of the mash-up, so I hope you guys appreciate it too! ANYWAYS, GUYS THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR CHECKING THIS OUT! I'm super happy about the warm reception!!!!! Okay but for real, This is the best mashup i've ever listened to.

Safe @ here we don't just have Everglow or just BlackPink, we have is BlackGlow!

Honestly for me it was refreshing to hear Kill This Love in a higher pitch and I expected their voices to be A LOT more distorted as a result but I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth it sounded! What you did with this mashup was different and bold, great job!

i think this mashup is amazing, i honestly dont mind the pitched up vocals of blackpink members because it fits the mood. however the lisa jennie rap part sounded a bit off key and not fitting at certain parts? other than that you did an awesome job, youre one of the best kpop mashup makers (idk whats the correct term lol) in my opinion!
