Everest Base Camp Trek | First time in Telugu | Introduction & Itinerary | Planning & Preparation
Hello Everyone!
My name is Vamsi Thenakani from Hikoi Adventures and I am a trekker from Eastern Ghats. I will do many adventure activities and I love doing outdoor activities that lift my Sportive spirit. This is my first Himalayan trek and I made my target a big one, so that was the reason that I had chosen the Mount Everest Base Camp trek. Because it needs a lot of endurance and the most important thing is mental strength that tests your ability. Technically it is not so hard to climb but mentally it is very tough and that was the reason I had to go for it. We will experience beautiful landscapes all over the trek from beautiful green lush hills to rocky snow mountains. I have traveled from Visakhapatnam to Kathmandu by flight and from there I took the most dangerous flight from Kathmandu to Lukla which is really an adventurous ride for sure. I hired a Nepali Sherpa as my guide and from Lukla, I did 7 days trek passing Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Pangboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorakshep, and then finally to Everest Base camp which is at 5364mtrs above the sea level. I have experienced server Altitude sickness during my trek but that doesn't stop me from chasing my dream. I am very happy to share with you now what I have experienced in my trek through my videos.
In this I will give you a brief introduction about this trek, Itinerary, how to plan and prepare for this EBC Trek.
Thank you.

It is idiotic to suffer from severe altitude sickness by going too fast. You didi not have the required acclimatisation day at Dingpoche, there is nothing heroic in going fast. Another point: your route is far from ideal, as there is a magnificent High Scenic Trail on the opposite side of the valley from Tengboche going via Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche. This trail offers vastly more impressive views than the usual twice through Tengboche trail unimaginative guides use. I see no point in walking the same route twice when better alternative is available.

Yes Brother. That's horrible. I faced altitude sickness at Namche Bazaar and got acclimatized there for one day. After feeling better I went ahead to Pangboche and during that day I faced AMS but I have made it finally without any issues. I didn't take acclimatization day at neither Dhingboche nor Lobuche because I was feeling better because I had a plan to save it at Lobuche in case of any emergency. When you are not feeling well then immediately you need to get down and that is the rule. It's all about your mental strength that how you are going to do it because it plays a major role ove there and I am well trained for it because I had done some dangerous treks in the Eastern Ghats. Coming to the route from Tengboche to Pangboche on that day the weather was so harsh and not visible so we took that way as suggested by my Sherpa. I suggest you to watch that journey in my upcoming videos. Thank you 😊👍

@@vamsithecool It is not a question of mental strength but allocating enough time for the acclimatisation. For some reason people have started doing the EBC hike with too little time, an then brag about it in KZread (not you, bro). Many are Indian for some reason, I have noticed. Not enough vacation time, perhaps?

@@karipintakivi9153 Yes Bro. I got you. People who will do it for passion are different than the people who does it for bragging. I create videos to inspire people who wants to do things like me but they can't due to some reasons. I want to push them all to achieve their dreams and my channel content relates to them is what I believe and that keeps pushing me to do this work. 😊

@@vamsithecool Good work. Maybe this is an inspiration: the first time I went to EBC was in 1985 and took 42 days Jiri - Jiri, including Gokyo, EBC, Amphu Labtsa pass and Mera summit. After that I have been there in 1998, 2000, 2009 and 2018, when I already had both hip joints replaced and was 64 years old. 4 weeks from Dhap Bazar via Pikey Peak and Dudh Kund lake, shortcut to Lukla (only 4 foreigners have ever done it), then the usual with Renjo La crossing to Thame. Coming again next year with half dozen fellow retirees 62 to 74 years old, paling to use 17 days minimum with side trips and rests. Like second home to me. Total of 13 treks and 11 months spent in Nepal so far.
