Bought this and it is exciting but definitely overwhelming. I had to watch one video to get the tree assembled. Now I'm here on one of my top gaming channels to see if Shaggy can explain how to sort this out and get the basic game setup!

It's humongous! As much as I love to get it, I found this big box will be hard to bring to the general gaming session

I agree, Herjuno. The game trays and wooden bits are amazing but there is definitely a downside. The size of this box is crazy for the type of game contained inside. Thanks for watching!

@@TotallyTabled Yeah it does, but there is no good way to "split" and carry only the base game because the trays are not locked. I know I'm on the minority side on this. I also thought I won't be playing everdell with all the expansions at the same time. That's why I only adding Newleaf to my copy of Everdell.

I don't own Everdell, but I am interested in it. It's a great time to get, as this seems like a definitive version of that game. Very nice video presentation of this edition.

@@TotallyTabled I think it always went for the eye candy approach, so it fits with the product. And I don't mind these big boxes as much anymore. We've been focusing our collection on less games, but great ones. And those we really like we deluxify.

Everdell is a family game for us. I'd add one expansion at a time for sure. Happy gaming and thanks for the content.

@@TotallyTabled The most exciting one is Spirecrest but it'll take a few games before you can overcome the negatives that come with each of the seasons. We play with all the expansions at the same time but that's because we have somewhere around 30 plays under our belts. My kids are 10 and 13 to give you some context to the games playability with younger players. They've never won but they generally score in the mid 40's to lower 50's.

Seems like a really nice production, overproduction in fact, with beautiful art of course. Time will tell on the quality of components, as I've only unboxed it at this point. Thanks G T.

Looks nice (huge box!). I have read, however of a few reviews about quality of materials (the tree and other things coming apart and/or paper issues if I am not mistaken?). So now I'm hesitant on buying this (which also is higher now than if I had backed the campaign of course). That all said -- thank you for the unboxing vid!

its huuuuuuge! i really want it but i think it's too big for my table i run games on, and it's not an exactly small table have you got a ball park area of how much space you need for it all setup?

That's a good question, Sem. I film on a 3' X 4' table in my tiny home office, and I suspect I'll struggle, especially with those expansion boards. But I haven't tried yet, to be fair. Solo might be workable. A four-player game seems like it would require a massive amount of space. I imagine I'll need to place the resources on a side table off camera. That sort of thing. This looks amazing. Have Everdell core box only. My wife's fave game. The complete collection box in Australia is $470! Not cheap. But would be an absolute keeper for us.

Yikes. Definitely not worth that! Hopefully you can find a way to get it cheaper. I find it to be a bit overproduced but, of course, really nice. I'm excited to get Everdell to the table for the first time. Hopefully I can rope my wife into a play as well. Thanks Bearded!

@@TotallyTabled Yep price is pretty steep. Sadly in this neck of the woods most games come at a cost. Most of the time it's ok, a good investment as we don't go out or eat out much. Sadly most KS stuff is off the table. Just waaaaay to expensive. Keep well.

I hope this means a solo playthrough is incoming... 👀

4:46 heard that samsung alarm! HAHA Anyways, this is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL looking game and I WANT IT. So.many.COMPONENTS!! But when I looked it up it's PHP22,500 (388 USD) which is haha.. out of reach for now

2024: does it brings everything is developed (Collector edition) for everdell till this date?

I expect a full Mistwood/Nightweave solo playthrough within the next week! I can't find one anywhere :P

I don't know either of those two words, so I probably have a lot of learning to do. 😂 I will definitely have a solo playthrough on the channel, but you are looking at November at the earliest. I have some "spooky" fun planned for most of October. Thanks skiggs20!

@@TotallyTabled Hehe - Mistwood is one of the new expansions that just came out. Nightweave is the new solo ai bot within that expansion. I've played against Nightweave a few times now and I much prefer her vs. the base solo bot Rugwort. Huge upgrade. Can't wait to see your playthrough!

Even though I don't mind the swingness of the bot in the core box, I actually like because it's pretty easy to manage, I'm curious to see how the new solo system works! Hi! I just received our copy and I was wondering if it is normal to not have received the normal occupied tokens from the punchboard. I did receive the golden occupied tokens in the punchboard, but not the normal ones.

This is how mine was as well. The little brown and yellow wooden disks are upgrades for those components I believe. At least, that is how I am using them. Hope that helps!

Looks like a steep learning curve on storage for beginners unless they clearly mark in the rulebook a full list of what comes with what expansion. I've never played Everdell before, so I need to just pull out the base game for a while first and teach myself. The meeple storage looks nice, but I would prefer everything separated by expansion pack.

I haven't tried to separate it yet, but I'd guess it is pretty well marked. The boards are easy to tell apart. But, yeah, it is a lot. Thanks Nick!

Late to the party, how long did it take to setup a normal game with the big box usually? Feel like the setup time will be much quicker if buying them separately

I see they put the 1-point and 3-point golden metal coins from the Collector's Edition (also glimmergold pack) in there... What about the Legend, ExtraExtra and Rugwort cards?

Due the campaign it was 199€ at gamesfair in essen ist was 275€ i guess

It looks great. A beautiful insert. But not very functional. Sad to see the resources and card boxes wasn’t divided into smaller bits. So you only have to pick up what you actually need the and with the expansion bits you’ve chosen. It’ll be a table Hawk. Anyways. Looks great and looking very much forward to get mine. 😊
