Third Person Duke is not exactly a match made in heaven but an interesting collection and probably only really for completionists or fans of Jank like myself :-) Keep up the awesome work!

Zero Hour was one of my all time favourite games growing up. Out of all the games I still own, I still have it boxed, with instructions and warranty. I spent near on months playing it and never once got bored. I know there’s not much to it but, I still enjoy playing it today.

@@CrazyBurger yes sir, out of all the games I’ve bought it’s the only one that survived. No tips or tears, labels and stickers intact. If it weren’t for the fact that I’d played the game (it opened the box) it would be very valuable I’m sure.

I'm really hoping nightdive studios give zero hour the remaster treatment it deserves

I love Land of babes. Jetpack , swim under water, plenty of missions, but definitely dont play around kids. Its pretty hard too. Not for everyone.

Was looking forward to this video from you. Considering I didn’t know Duke Nukem Advance existed before that showcase; this is possibly the best cart on Evercade for me personally. 2 PS1 games and a GBA game is not bad; though would have been great if the 2 Duke carts were combined into 1. I don’t actually have an Evercade but have followed it since the start and currently have the Atomic VS preordered so let’s see.

Nice.. yeah ideally 1 cart would've been perfect but guess Gearbox are charging more for the licenses. 2 good carts. I think they definitely bring something very different to Evercade that we don't already have.

Good video as always. I'm a bit sceptical on the two PS1 games as I generally don't like third person games so great to hear the GBA one is good fun. I do enjoy FPS

Yeah those 3rd person games feel dated but I'm sure some folks will enjoy them. Even Land of the Babes. I think you'll need a ton of patience for that one. GBA Duke is nice. I like that a lot.

I'm looking forward to playing Duke Nukem games for the 1st time, this franchise was not in my wheel house back in the day. Time to Kill & Advance sound like they're the better games, overall it'll be fun playing them all...

Sort of. It's similar in many ways. Doom still a classic though and the better game.

Which would you say is the BEST games over the TWO carts?! 🤔. I initially was going with the 2nd cart. But I personally think the classiness of ‘Duke Nukem 3D’. Seems like a game to buy for the cart alone! 😊. I agree though. I hope we get to see MORE of these types of games. Maybe a cart devoted to 3D First Person Shooters could be a really good idea! 👍. We could then get those games you mentioned! I think it would sell like Hot cakes! 🤔😊👍

Duke GBA looks neat and yeah I was thinking the same, the perfect game for handheld mode. The other 2 never interested me back in the day, more a step backwards and aimed at teenaged kids. First game might be worth a nose having never played it. Land of the Blocky Babes doesn't look as polished. Cheers Crazy!

Time to kill does use joystick but not the R stick unfortunately

Evercade can run the FPS Duke Nukem, so it can run N64 games ? Would love too see those old school THQ WcW and WWE games from the N64 era .

Mmm I think potentially it could run N64 but I'm not convinced it would run well. Plus I'm sure Duke 3d will be PS1. Also.. licensing would be expensive for those wrestling games.

I loved duke 3d and all to do with franchise, use play these on ps1

so agree about the doom and wolf comment,but like to add original half-life,other build engine games and return to castle wolfenstein,there are engines for those games that i suspect may run on the exp

Oh yes.. now Half Life would be amazing.. but unlikely with licensing. I absolutely loved that game. Also enjoyed a bit of Deus Ex. The original that is. So good.

Hopefully save states will help with the janky platforming. And for the love of god Blaze, give us a desaturation filter option for DN Advance, and any other GBA games in the future.

They did a good job with the recent boxing game on Piko 3. It definitely needs a bit of smoothing..

This is the more interesting of the two compilations to me since I own multiple superior versions of Duke 3D (Saturn, Switch) etc to what we'll likely get on Evercade. I can deal with the jankiness of early 3D games and the GBA game is also an interesting variation. The most interesting thing is that I've never played these three before. The deal maker for me is them properly resolving the AI art issue. I don't mean cleaning up the art to give him the right number of fingers etc or recommissioning the same guy. I'm not going to ethically support a product that uses AI art and while I appreciate its not a big deal to some, it is to me.

N64 probably wouldn't run well on Evercade

Hm. Out of the two Duke carts this one is more appealing bc I already have 3D World Tour Anniversary Edition on Xbox. But, I'm not sure this collection is worth it unless a megafan?

Too bad they couldn’t throw in Zero Hour, but I don’t think Evercade has an N64 emulator yet. Would be the greatest secret bonus game of all time, even if fans might riot for having to buy two carts and a VS to get it. My guess would be the Game Boy Color Duke Nukem II port or the Brazil-only Mega Drive version of 3D being unlockable, since they wouldn’t require a native port or emulating a new platform.

I think it'll most likely be Duke Nukem on GB for a secret game. N64 is unlikely. Emulation is tough plus the controls.. I did actually try the Brazil MD version..its pretty rubbish though.

Also, Duke Nukem 3d and Time to kill were rated 18 on PS1, so I'm guessing they will be censored for Evercade?

Not sure actually. They might release as is and just slap the rating on the box. It probably needs a new rating. It's all a bit tame these days.

Ratings can change over time. As I recall Blaze submitted Stormlord for a much higher rating than it was passed for. I won't be buying any censored games though. As outdated as these may be I don't need Blaze of all people to be my morality police and it was enough with what they did to Glass.
