    As others have said, "Grinded"? Also, I am 99.9% sure they don't store the peanut butter in jars like that, that would be highly inefficient. That looks like stock footage of peanut butter jars being filled for resale. I'm sure it is stored in giant tubs where it can be moved to the dispensers. Watch any other food "How it's made" shows that use actual footage, not clips they found on the internet, to see how they process large quantities.

    I was scrolling through the comments to see if anyone else was questioning the whole “puts it into jars” thing. That just seems ludicrous. I sat there waiting to see if the assembly line workers were going to open each individual jar and spoon a dollop of peanut butter into each cup lol. I agree with you. Somebody decided to roll some Jif production line footage as B-roll on this and the narrator wrote it into the script.

    @@daveklein2826 Prove that they don’t? Ok, try this on for size: 1) inefficiency 2) extra cost (which cuts into profit margin) 3) waste (ever try to squeegee the last few grams of peanut butter from the bottom of jar?) 4) increased storage space 5) addition of a cleaning/sterilization process each time a jar is reused 6) increased labor costs The peanut butter that goes into the peanut butter cups never leaves the production line. After it’s mixed, it’s pumped through stainless steel tubing directly into the waiting cups. Let’s consider some facts here: They process over a million pounds of peanuts daily. Their machinery packages more than 800 units per minute. The idea that they have somebody (thousands of somebodies?) that are being paid by the hour to scoop peanut butter from jars at this pace is laughable.

    Seriously, why do you care on how different people say Reese's? Some people might have a hard time saying Reese's, and pronounce it Reseas or reesies. like some people can't make the TH sound, my mom's name is Kathy, her Aunt couldn't make the TH sound, so it was 'Katy', why be quick to prove it's ', Reese's not Reseas'.

    I find it hard to belive that they would fill a bunch of little jars of peanut butter like it was shown in the video. I suspect it is more like it is stored in 55 gal drums or silos with how much they go through. Good video though.

    The first time (and only time) that I ate Reese's Pieces I was shocked to find out I did not like them. Especially since Reese's Peanut Butter cups are my very favorite candy. I could not believe how much different they tasted than the cups. So I bit into another one so I could look at the inside. To my horror I discovered that it contained no chocolate!! Just peanut butter covered in a candy coating! Who would have ever guessed that Reese's Pieces weren't made of peanut butter and chocolate? What idiot management made that decision?

    Like other companies, they sold out to the big oil companies and started packaging their products in those square plastic jars, creating a bigger plastic footprint on our planet. They should have kept using the bags. It was so much less consumer waste.

    3:40 Of course the peanut butter that is filled in jars will not be used for further production of the PB cups, it's sold as it is in the jars. Peanut butter for their further production is kept in more practical storage.

  • @lesliecarr312
    @lesliecarr312 Жыл бұрын

    I noticed someone's comment on grammar about the words grind, grinded, and ground. It's ok to substitute other seemingly incorrect words for ground. No one wants p.b. cups made from the ground. It's dirty. And dirt doesn't taste good. It's like coffee that tastes like mud. It was fresh ground this morning. Now that I have picked the commenter's grammatical concerns to pieces over Reese's, I will answer the closing question at the end of the video. I eat Reese's peanut butter cups every night. With York peppermint patties and a few bits of Hershey's milk chocolate. I'll just tell my doctor it's part of my nutritional intake. 🍫🤪🤕
