Aww poor Miku...she was unselfish at last, but it's so sad that they were going to betray her and leave without her. Oh well she sacrificed herself in order to save the people she believed to be her friends. ;'(

Since not everyone has access to the manga, Im here to explain the story of this song! The beginning chronologically is at 1:00. The characters are all acting out the play of a famous playwright, there is a legend that those who deviate from the script will be cursed. at 2:12 we see miku deliver the line "I wish this night would last forever" before accidentally breaking the clock and therefore deviating from the script. Now chronologically we return to the beginning. Miku finds a letter addressed to her on stage after the show ends. The letter claims that the play is forged by the others and that if it is found out, they will blame her. At 0:11 miku goes to confront the others about the forged play and an argument starts. Miku calls them all traitors and runs away (0:30) At 0:32 miku grabs the sharp clock hands of the clock she broke earlier and confronts the group again, this time threatening them. The altercation ends with miku falling down the stairs with the knife and dying (0:37) The rest of the group blame themselves and are transported into the world of the play, they can prevent miku's death in the real world if they prevent it in the play. Every time miku dies in the play, the night restarts. if miku finds out she died in real life she will die permanantly. miku is the only one who doesnt remember the time loops. at 2:30 we see miku wake up in the play world. the last thing she remembers is finding the letter on the ground. at 2:38 Miku discovers that rin and len are really dolls and discovers she is in the play world. she believes that this is the curse punishing her for messing up the play (3:00). at 3:41 miku believes that if they write a new ending into the script book stating that they return to the real world then they will be sent home. at 3:58 miku overhears the others talking about returning to the real world. she jumps to conclusions and believes they are going to kill her to revive a different girl. 4:22 miku plans to destroy the body of the "girl" they are bringing back so that their plan fails. 4:52 miku opens the coffin containing "the girl" and discovers it's her. the memories flood back to her and she learns that the others are actually trying to save _her_! 5:02 miku cuts herself and writes in the script with her blood, saying that when she stabs herself they will all return to the real world. 5:14 we see the altered reality where kaito is able to stop her from falling and she survives.

Rin even says they'll tell her next loop when Miku locks herself in the coffin room. But maybe I just need to reread the manga. I could be misremembering.

I've searched the internet countless times, Japanese and English alike. Even the original Miku. And nobody; NOBODY hits those notes like you do. It gives me shivers every time, your voice is just exquisite, and these Lyricsa are masterfully written. Staying true to the original yet still catchy and flows well and rhymes too! The householders had a story, and it ended badly. They all stuck to the mansion. Time has stopped at night. Miku was lost and a letter was given to her. She didn't know whose it was. (Probably the mysterious Author gave her.) After that, she found the mansion and asked to stay for a night. She slept, but she woke up and understood that time has stopped here. She saw how sad are the householders are in her dream. She learnt this was a story and ended badly. She wanted time to continue and get them to live happily. She secretly ripped off the last bad ending page and hoped that they would be happy ; but they went crazy, because what is going to happen if it has no end? How they will know? Miku saw their despair and looked into her pocket; the good ending page was there! (Meanwhile: The householders are searcjing for the page.) She went to the door of the room that story book is remaimed, and heard householders have misunderstood her and going to kill her. Miku went insane because she just wanted to help them. She killed them all, including herself. The crew's ghosts have finally understood that Miku wanted to help them and they tried to stop Miku; but no use. The time was still paused because Miku rip off the clock arms. After that; Miku's ghost visited the mansion again; forgotten everything. Aand that is where Bad End Night takes place. She stayed there with the other ghosts again and saw the coffins and rememberes everything she has done. She regretted to herself, crying in the dark and looking at her own dead body. (Bad) End!

I like how all vocaloids have the ability to sing even after they die...

First off, this is my favorite cover and i love it! I just want to share what i think this song/series means. Your lyrics make it so easy to actually sit there and understand there pain/guilt and perspectives If you think about it, this whole problem with them being stuck in time was for the simple fact they thought they could play god and try to save the real miku from dying when they couldn't. In an attempt to save her from dying they all descended into madness to save themselves from going bankrupt in the real world and they all died thinking if they saved miku they could all be " free" from the "fake world" which in reality is the afterlife because all of them died with regret and desired to save miku from her accident before the play began for them at act 2. That's the most logical reason I can come up for this whole series because no matter how many times you re-watch. They all die. Miku kills them. The mansion sets a blaze resulting in everyone's death. Miku kills herself and everyone screams and races to save her but can't because in reality, she is dead and no matter how many "true nights"they try to find it ends the same way. The death of miku will always happen which is why they can never escape that false reality they say they are in. They are forever stuck with the guilt that miku died because of there selfish desire to make money when they were alive. Now I find it interesting that they say they died because miku killed them and they are stuck as ghosts trying to " free" themselves which still goes back to wanting to save miku from dying and in hopes they come back alive to. Wether miku really killed them is beyond me and if she really did after she died then that means they were all so desperate to bring her back they tricked themselves into seeing miku (even though she died backstage a while ago) and they all ended up bruiltity slaughtered by this said "ghost" of miku. This shows you how all of them are crazy and miku was the only sane one. She didn't know she died and assumed she needed to kill them and they all got tricked into it because once again, they wanted to avoid her death in the real world and they couldn't. It's as if the guilt of her death killed them all literally. Even though miku was pronounced dead around the time all of the cast died, it isn't very clear who actually killed them and " trapped "them for the simple fact miku was already dead when they all died as well which also included there home/theater being brunt to a crisp right after. My point is, you can't change the past no matter how hard you try. All of them were so desperate to save miku from dying that they all died themselves and still thought miku had a chance when she didn't. That's why there is no true end and their ends will always end badly. The true end, the actually ending to the series shows, miku had to die. No matter how hard they tried to avoid it. Miku died and they were stuck in that time because they felt guilty. That's why all of them are crazy and started to panic and thought they needed to kill the "fake"miku to bring back the "real" miku who was already dead for many years just like them. They are literally trapped in there own guilt and miku can't remember it sometimes because she was never able to actually finish the play due to her death. Which Is why she went crazy when she saw her dead body and realised she was the only dead person on that stage continuing there little "game of life" which resulted in everyone dying because they thought they were saving miku by not telling her she was dead . Either way you look at it, all were crazy except miku. She was the most normal one there while everyone was just trying to desperately convince themselves this was "normal" and they needed to do it(bring miku back ) Think of it this way In real world, miku was an actor for the whole crew. They were pretty much family. (Luka, len, rin and them. Not miku) So now they needed money because they were in debt so they hired miku in an attempt to raise money. Literally not long after hiring her , the first time she actually performs, they have to cancel the show because she died getting ready to do act 2 which fucking sucks because now they all lost money. So that means, since miku died on there set, on there watch, they have to pay for her funeral expenses and on top of that , they need to hire a new actor to replace miku which means more money had to be taken out there already broke pockets to achieve the money they wanted. So they all get so caught up in the fact that they need money that they don't tell mikus family she is dead and instead they take her body below the theater and put her in a fucking casket and leave her ass there to rot and literally tell themselves "we can fix this. She didn't die. We can save her" when in reality, they all hid her dead body and if police found out , they will be charged for not telling her family and they will think the cast memebers killed her. So they panic and ended up killing each other in an attempt to "save" miku soul/body. Her fate as they call it which can't happen. They are all fucking idiots who wanted money that desperately that they held this poor girls dead body hostage and convinced themselves they could still save her and make money when she was already dead!

Bravo, such a performance needs more than just the single clap that can be heard at the end of the song, you deserve the whole crowd standing up and clapping. I loved this song, and your version is as good as the original. The part I like the most is at the very end of the song, and you did it amazing, that final scream ends the song quite well.

Oh my gosh this is absolutely amazing! At first when I saw the title, I'll be honest, I was thinking "oh this will be just an english cover that doesn't quite fit the lyrics and doesn't harmonize well" just because it was out so quickly, but I take that back and I must admit this is absolutely awesome! The chorus parts gave me chills and I fangirled XD

How do you even do these types of covers in which you use multiple voices and the get choruses to match up and there lines to come right after each others because I would if I knew how

It's very hard for sure LOL! This song had 8 people's vocals to time, tune, and individually tweak due to their microphone qualities, and not everyone sang it perfectly timed - what I did as the mixer was take everyone's vocals, manually divide them by each syllable (during the choruses at least!), and time them together to work! It seems that I didn't do such a great job at it, given what people have said in the comments, but the song was still a really fun challenge to take on with my friends as the lyricist, mixer, and one of the vocalists! :D

Levi Heichou Ackerman Ah thank you for the compliment ;;; I use Garageband for my timing and main mixing! It's kinda limited, but it's what I've used since I started and I love how simple it is ahaha xD

Angela || Pierrot Oh, wow. I didn't think Garageband could be used to make something like this. I'll have to get it then, I've heard great things about it. And it looks like you've mastered it, and I love your covers so I'm going to start making covers as well. If only I had 8 friends that had the balls to do it with me cx

Idk. There is a lot and I have very few installed. I wish there was no payment for the chapters and such. It is ridiculous in my opinion.
