Vosstaniya Square (until 1918 - Znamenskaya Square) is one of the central squares of St. Petersburg. It is located at the intersection of Nevsky and Ligovsky Avenues.
Located on the square:
Moskovsky train Station;
Oktyabrskaya Hotel;
the pavilion of the metro station "Ploshchad Vosstaniya".
An obelisk "To the Hero City of Leningrad" is installed in the center.
The square received its modern name in memory of the events of February 1917. Before that, the Znamenskaya Church was located here.
