My pastors son was murdered. My pastor fell down when they brought him out into the drive way and gave the news. He stood back up and put his arms over his head and worshipped God like Job. Blessed be the name of the Lord he said. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away..... He was preaching on tour and was going to preach his message the next night, regardless of the hurt... He taught us worship when it hurts.

I was homeless, a university drop out, an addict and I remember some winters sleeping in the cold wishing that the sun should come out. I was the cause for all my troubles. But even today I am fighting addiction through the grace of the Lord I am a year sober. My journey is beginning again to develop myself. But through all that I have been through I remember praying to God to help me with the addiction I had. I am not where I want to be but through the grace of God I am not where I was a year ago. God is good. It is true that we should praise God because He is God not because of the good or the bad in our life.

Keep God in your life stay in church, and you will find you are not alone, you will also have a truer perspective about life that is calming. I am now a 56 year old professional now but was stressed about school and my future. Looking back now I see that he was there and from time to time he lets me see him work. But I now can see where he just did a slight help like reminding me when something needed to be done to prevent a problem and other times where he fixed my mistakes. As a Christian you are not alone and your problems are Gods problems too and together you will do well. I hope going forward you will have less fear and much peace, even when you don't understand... you will have a peace that passes understanding.

Sometimes the heart has to break in order to heal. Because without the break there is no release. You have to crack the shell to get to what's inside. And it hurts like hell but its so worth it in the end when you realize why it happened.

Reading comments here , reminds me that am actually in a better place and all the pain why shouldnt i praise him. May God heal each one going through hurt and pain

Two years ago my mother was bitten by my father's girlfriend her intentions were to kill her but it she couldn't, my mother suffered from headache, pain, my aunt rushed her to the clinic they told her that she need some pills because of her bruises and all her injuries in her body,we couldn't take her to the hospital because we didn't have money to pay, she'd sometimes lose her mind and would do weird things like wanting to go to work naked, it used to hurt me every single day since I am the first born I'd have to make sure that the house is safe especially when it at night I wouldn't get enough sleep because I'll have to make sure she's safe, my father had left the house I was now responsible for my siblings and my mother too, most days I'd cry I wish that I'd get a helper, someone who'd help me financially I ask God for a good Samaritan who'd buy my mother good medication that will help her get back to her senses 😥I remember this one day at night I heard a voice saying pray for anything and it shall happen I never hesitate because I knew what I always wanted I remember I was sitting in the living room I kneel down at the sofa and began to pray, next morning my mother had recovered 🙌🙌I never believed in miracles before but this actually gave me the reason to believe 🙇🙇Praise Be to God....

Lost my dad a month ago and it almost drove me mad. I was angry at everyone and everything including God. I still had to run back to God because I couldn't handle myself. It still hurts like hell but I choose to praise Him.

My mum passed on on 5th January 2020. On Sunday at around 8p.m . She was full of Faith, incomparable Faith . After battling cancer and defeating it for nearly 8 months and being declared cancer free. Only to be attacked by acute stroke and was doing good on her recovery. But on that fateful Sunday she developed breathing problems at about 6:30pm yet the whole day we were laughing. Only to be rushed to the hospital and declared that she had passed on upon arrival to hospital. I cried so much and asked God so many questions but I'm here to say that even when life hurts bad, I'll praise Him. He has a reason for everything and He restores our joy. Stay blessed.

The tragedy, the pain, the broken heart, the disappointments that we go through brings us closer to Jesus Christ our true savior.

I don't know you and neither do know me but I'm blessed that this song binds us together. To anyone who feels heart broken and emotionally torn . You are not alone . We are going through it together and I have selfless faith that one day God will lift us and the sun will shine and we will try again

Octorber 17th 2019, I almost died. But God saved me. I had SUDDEN heart problems, couldn't breathe well, temporarily couldn't see and hear well😥 to mention a few. The days after were the worst, I had to constantly tell myself that life is worth living. This song was comfort in that season of my life, it still is. I would sing to myself "even when it makes no sense to sing, louder then I will sing your praise." It got me through. Because even when it hurts🤷🏾‍♀️ even when it hurts I will praise Him.. The reality of God in Daniel 3 really hit me, the reality of there being Another in the fire❤ And now I know that there is always Another in the fire with us.

I am so sorry, Donna, to hear about your son. My 36 year old son passed away in February, 2019. I could not have imagined the pain and loss this has brought to our family. I told a friend that it feels like part of me has been amputated and now I am trying to find the new normal. But God has not changed and He is still good. Praising Him brings such peace and comfort to my heart. Time truly does help but walking it out with God by my side as been my true healing. He never forsakes us and He is especially close to the broken-hearted. May you find healing and peace during this time of great sorrow.

God has been too merciful to me even when I don’t deserve it. I will praise God no matter what.

Lost my beloved father because of Corona virus 💔 on Saturday 3rd July 2021 and this song came in my mind the minute we got the heart breaking news . He was buried on Monday 5th July 2021 . It's hard for me to believe that he is gone but I will forever praise God because my daddy fought a good fight till he finished his race and I believe he is now resting with the angels in heaven 🙏

I can feel the emotion and the struggle of this song. I love what she said that sometimes it's sacrificial praise. I've been through one of the darkest times of my life and God's grace has been overwhelming. What a feeling praising Jesus in the midst of the storm. Praise God!

My aunty got buried today,after battling cancer for two years,I came here to praise the Lord when it hurts.

Ive been repeatedly hearing the word “disappointed” i have gone through alot of pain, not having good grades in school though im always attending classes, not been able to make my parents proud because of not passing the board exam twice.... not having a good and stable job... but i think God is telling me something... even though it hurts and pains me alot i will always sing Your praise Thank you so much Lord 🙌🏼🙏🙏

Get with people especially God's people, don't be alone, even though you don't think you want to see anyone, or that anyone wants to see you. We pick each other up, God gave us each other to carry thru the hard times. He incouraged us to help each other "as you have done for the least of these you have done this to me." You are not alone.

I practice turning to God for help, i see it as a kind of fire drill.

In the midst of nowhere thousand miles away from my relatives in a job hunt ... if you know the experience you can relate ... I spend most of my time singing to this song ... it comforts me knowing God is in control. Just wait for the testimony... I believe!!!

I lost my husband 18 february 2021, it hurts so much, but l will praise God even when it hurts....

This became my video when having an anxiety attack knowing God is with me through the storm

6:16 - 6:36 is just dang. taya is seriously so blessed with a voice like that and i am so happy she uses it to glorify God.

I know He isn't just God when things are going right in my life, He's my God through all the bad too. I want to be closer to God!

I'm hurting right now, I hurt someone who loved me so much and I'm so guilty about it, I feel I need to apologize but she doesn't want to hear from me, I don't know what to do anymore, I was made to choose someone else against her. This hurts me so bad, being separated from the one you love hurts. I hope the Lord our God gives me strength and wisdom to handle this

My dad committed suicide in 2017..I was hurt as it affected my exams ...but still i praised him and said he is Yahweh ...God bless me with any diploma course I will do

after tragedy as struck and i have found no where to turn i finally decided to turn to god and find my faith again. i felt like he let me down by letting all of these bad things happen. i believe those things happend to get me on the right track for my new journey and to find my faith again. i have started going back to church and its a feeling i can't completely explain. . i feel at peace and at home. .and its not been easy. so this song really hit home. thank you.

+Melissa Stubblefield (willow-irishnightowl81) I'm glad that God pulled you out of your dark place. He did that for me too. My daughter in law delivered premature twins and one died. I was sinking in despair and it was hard to pray. Mercy stepped in to save me when I couldn't save myself.

I am struggling like many of you! I lift you all up in my prayers as we are not alone, and God still desereves our praise. My Husband lies to me all the time, he struggles with being faithful to me, and he has an addiction problem. I pray all the time for him to shift his eyes to God, and to let God's light shine on his heart!

Jesus loves your husband & cares for him, that is why he put you there as his life partner, to pray for him. Jesus will see you through this, greater things are yet to come.
