Wonderful film, full of compassion and integrity, much like its director. I love the way she describes how the actors wanted the local community to benefit and that they gave them 200 bricks to build a community centre. What a result. It makes me want to look into other films that she's directed and to read a bit more on the actual events that took place in Cocha bamba

The film is excellent for the most part, I saw it in film class, the point that's made about critics is true. The sad part is some critics are terrible.

I came across this film on a KZread clip. I was under the impression that it was all about Columbus's voyage to the new world. I just started watching the whole film so I can't judge it. Honestly tho, I would have loved if the whole movie was about the voyage. The real story, not the one I was taught in school in the U.S. I'm still going to watch it tho

I would have loved if the whole film would have been about Columbus's voyage to the new world though, cause the writer was depicting how it really happend. Not what I was taught in America. I'm from Domincan Republic and even when I first learned about Columbus in school in the U.S. , my mother let me know who he really was. Its kind of sad tht in America Columbus is celebrated, as if he was hero of some sort. When in reality he was a monster. I still have not watched the whole film, but I will.

herrmannmunster Iciar Bollain is from Madrid. As far as I know, she has nothing to do with the Basque Country. Her accent in English is the typical accent of people from Spain

I love her accent. You can tell that it's not any regular accent, every single word she speaks has a beautiful Basque scent to it

Why basque accent? She is from Madrid. its a strong spanish accent.
