Solo and duo are so fun with dark urge. I am also doing a solo as a druid since I think the versatility of the wild forms with the extra hp bars makes u tankier. An interesting strat I have found is some events let u double up on xp. For example at the ruin at the start of the game if u convince the people to leave u get xp but if u hit turn base right away u can drop the stone on them starting combat extra 100 or so xp in total. This can also be used with the goblins in the blighted village for instance telling them to leave u gives around 400 xp then u just kill them anyway for extra xp. its few hundred but that soon adds up. only thing to watch out for is some npcs that are designed to run away and despawn still try and do so in combat so u have to be fast

Ohh nice tip for extra xp! Yeah, I should have done that with the large group after I convinced them to go away, hit turn-based, killed the leader and they would have surrendered twice 🤣

@@GamekNightPlays it works really well i just hit level 7 entering the shadow lands by abusing it not as much as I could have mind u. a good place to use it is with he gith fight u get 300 or so xp for convincing them to leave then u get 75 xp for killing each of them so that's 600 xp instead

Good luck! May want to add some rules/restrictions about respecing, though. Otherwise you can just pay 100g to always be the best class for the situation. Undead areas? Let's go Cleric. Stealth mission? Gimme a Rogue. Pulling BS on people? The Bard is happy to see you. A lone high HP mob? Smite him to death with a Paladin. You get the drill. IMO only respeccing to the same class and subclass (or couple of those for multiclass) allowed just to re-roll spells and ability scores once you get some optimising upgrades sounds like balanced just enough. I think I will eventually approach it with the OG Dark Urge so a White Dragonborn Storm Sorcerer as he just looks badass. Get the frozen ground with ice knife/breath. Melt it with firebolt to make a puddle and electrocute everyone (wet enemies take double damage from lightning). Later achieved just by create water instead. A Storm Sorcerer after every spell casted gets free disengage and flight so he can easily reposition to a more beneficial spot. At some point I may take a dip into Tempest Cleric for heavy armour proficiency and the Destructive Wrath, which makes any lightning or thunder spell deal maximum damage (which again will also typically include vulnerability). Or go pure Sorcerer and get that Chain Lightning eventually. So either 12 Sorcerer or 8 Sorcerer / 4 Cleric just so I can also get all the possible feats (War Caster to maintain that Witchbolt/Call Lightning concentration and for Shocking grasp reaction, Elemental Adept Lightning so they can't resist this damage type and an increase to Charisma for pure damage/spell DC). Of course, I'm also getting access to Thunderwave for the same reasons as you, it's just too good early game and has it's occasional uses even later. And as Charisma for my main I can be the talker too in many situations. But that's a plan for much later. First I need to finish the game as my good(ish) guy and then I want just a regular evil playthrough (that's faster than our snail-paced co-op :D ).

Great thought on the respec - didn't think of that 🤔😁 Sounds awesome with the storm sorcerer! And yes, the coop is a bit slow, as it takes a bit to get us all together (hence why I'm also making this run) 😊😁

I personally like going for a fighter/barbarian build for the extra attcks and frenzy

Yeah, fighter is STRONG!

Might go for a Sorlock with Devil sight and Darkness for this if/when I'm ready to do this challenge. Question : when you say not using companions, does that mean you can't even recruit them and have them waiting in camp (wouldn't mind stealing Laezel's armor for the character I have in mind ;-) )

Recruting is fine, and stealing their stuff is fine! :) But they can't be in the party and partake in combats (I don't think you can skip getting Laezel with you in the begining, she just needs to stand back and not do anything) Sorlock seems awesome! Can't wait to hear how it goes if you undertake it!

I competed solo tactic on rogue and cleric. Not sure if it even possible to do on druid. You need some broken mechanics to abuse bosses

Druid owlbear from the top rope is the best method ive seen. Crushing flight negates fall damages so get up high and jump on them. higher the better and can do 800 damage if you get it right

I have :) Some fights will, of course, be hard. It takes some reloads at times, because the dice aren't with you and also exploiting the enviroment to your advantage will be needed.

I am however aware that some of the powers (of tier 3 especially) are very good... It may, or may not, ruin the challenge, but I trust that encounters have taken this into account as well. So for now, they are allowed :)
