I think what you're referring to is that the prosecution can't really get him on the payments alone. For it to be illegal, he has to have made a payoff specifically and exclusively to affect the outcome of the election.

The judge deserves to be tarred and feathered for this mockery of Justice allowing this in despite the objections and clear direction of the prosecution. She didn't give a single line of testimony relevant to the case and instead tried to humiliated the defendant in front of a jury for the Biden campaign sitting at the opposite table. Rules of evidence were supposed to prevent this but NY seems like the most corrupt place in the nation.

The real question is, if she took the money willingly, why did she break the contract and talk about it?

Why did they even have her on the stand talking about this ? - Answer: to humiliate him.

@@Micki0048 ok, does he wear old spice? Does he use the shampoo she said he had in his bag?? What about Ben R, can he say, she didn’t try on his Super Bowl ring when he was with trump? Ben would be an unbiased witness to their interactions, let’s bring him into court and testify. She had lot of details for never being there. What does the bodyguard say? Did those interactions occur?? Or do we want to focus on the fact that this is a clear case of election interference on his part? He lied! Bottom line!

@@octavian1783 that can be your opinion; however, that fact is he lied by making a false entry and then covered it up, that’s what turns it to a felony. He didn’t commit one crime, he committed two.

This case will be thrown out if not now but after appeal.
