Yay! The Mummy made such a huge impact on my childhood and is still one of my favourite films today! It gave me an interest in Egyptology (and unfortunately also a fear of beetles) and in a couple of months I will be graduating with a BA in Egyptology! Yes, I can read hieroglyphs, and no, none of the 'Egyptian' they speak in the film is authentic, and yes, I feel weird about having to read anything from the Book of the Dead because I'm worried I'll resurrect Imhotep~ xD

So did I! I went to do a BA in History exactly because of these movies! Huge impact on me as a child. I then switched from Archaeology to Medievalism, but my passion for History was always there and this saga definitely played an important role.

I'm so proud of you ! I'm 17 and I remember watching this movie multiple times when I was younger, the result ? Since then I wanted to study Egyptology... Sadly my parents are against it and I will never be able to study it, instead next year I will study english and chinese and some more things like companies rights/economic science/international relations etc... So it's kind of far from what I really wanted but I hope that one day I'll be able to talk for hours with someone who would be eager to share some of their knowledges in Egyptology

Sean Young was exquisite in that film. I always found it incongruous though that her hair when she took it out of the 40's rolls was so curly. No way she could have smoothed the 80s style curls into that perfect do. She looked absolutely stunning wih both looks however. I remember the first time I saw blade runner, never forgot her.

Wow, love that you know the history of this film and that it is a remake of the 1930s classic! The 1999 film was my favorite look for Evie! They changed her style in the next couple films.

Those brows looks great on you!! It’s always easier to make them look bushier or fuller later but so much work to cover them up and pencil new ones on. But you did it beautifully as always!

This is a beautiful look, but I would LOVE to see a part 2 where you do Evie with her hair down and heavier eye makeup. I love the transformation she goes through and I would love to see both looks. One of my favorite fictional characters by far!
