The red ring around his ship at 4:37 means you have recently taken aggression from that ship. You get the same ring from hostile NPC's that attack you. The bigger the red ring, the more aggression you have taken from it. Its to give you an idea of who is doing the most to you in a big fight or in a hard mission.

Please read: Helpful tip. Aw dude. Okay, here's the thing with entering warp. You enter warp at 75% of your max speed (including 75% of boosted speed). You would have escaped if you didn't turn on your MWD, because that reduced your speed percentage to around 16% (at least from what the video showed; rough estimate). For example, when I am hauling hundreds of millions of ISK in a slow ass industrial ship, I have an Afterburner equipped to it. Why? Well, if I flip on the afterburner right when I click warp from a gate to another, and have the AB turn off after it's one cycle is complete, my speed from the AB boost will warp me the moment my AB flips off. Let's say my AB speed is 1000m/s, and my regular speed is 500m/s (I know the numbers would never be like that, but hey). In the brief time my AB was on, it put me at say, 600m/s. So when the AB shuts off, my warp drive calculates that I am above the 75% speed needed to warp, and that's why I insta-warp once the AB is off. Therefor, switching on your MWD when trying to run away, recalculated your required speed to enter warp from your normal 247.5m/s (taking my skills), to 1359m/s (again, with my skillset, and assuming it's a 1mn MWD 2). So yeah. In escape situations, don't flip on a prop mod, unless you know that'll put you outside of a warp disruptor range or some such. That said, yeah, don't engage a drone boat. Maybe a cruiser like an Arbitrator would fall pray to you (low HP), but woo... a Myrmidon. At least you were brave about it, and smart enough to note his crappy killboard. XD Hope this was informative. Tried to word it a few different ways and this is how it turned out. I'm awful at explaining the whole entering warp speed mechanic regarding propulsion modules, as I just know the basics about it and feel like there's more to it. Oh yeah, and no, you can't kite a drone ship. At least, not in a Stealth Bomber. If he has Drone Avionics 5, he can hit you from 45km with them (more with a Drone Link Augmentor equipped). If he has Advanced Drone Avionics 5, then 60km control range on those drones. But hey, at least you could warp out. As for MWD to try and speed tank the drones? Hobgoblins are Light Drones. They're pretty much the best thing at killing small class ships, and fly at 3+km/s, so escaping their guns just isn't gong to happen.

The red circle indicates the amount of incoming DPS that is done to you. The bigger the circle the more the DPS. It's a new addition and it allows you to quickly see which ships npc or pc are doing the most damage to your ship so you can make decisions based on it.

Unless you are going for frigates and pods, there is no need for a sensor booster. You could use that slot for a shield booster or some other form of tank. Keep up the good work!

red bubble and its size indicate who did most damage to you recently, since he was alone , the bubble was biggest. you can get at most 3 bubble of different sizes simultaneously i think

Good Attempt man. If you're going to do something like that best to try and either sig tank that (Nano fibre internal structures) or swap out that SeBo for tank. Also wondering if that Myrm was triple or dual repped. I don't rat activitely and Don't run this ship so maybe his Ratting fit was set up as a Passive tank? *shrug*

If you check your general keyboard settings, you can actually assign anything you want to overheat modules. However there is a default where if you shift-click on a module it overheats, that's what I did there.

The red circle just means you were recently in combat with said person

Or.... it was a keyboard command. I often find myself inadvertently typing FFFF in local because I'm trying to get drones to engage.

Where did you mess up? You tried soloing a BC Drone boat with a stealth bomber. SB's are glass cannons. On top of that, as frigs go, they are pretty slow, so youre not going to out run those drones. Next time engage something that doesnt have drones or missiles, and youll be good. Otherwise you did everything right :D

He has two screens. Some of his menus are on the other one. At any rate, a Myrmidon is a drone using battlecruiser. Drones have the advantage of being able to hit even small ships pretty heavily.
